Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Beautiful try from Exeter

Great try that. Hopefully that will be it for the chief's.

    Itoje is a penalty machine

    Great try

Saracens Champions Cup exploits potentially hurting them, at least that will probably be the narrative if the Chiefs go and win this.

Itoje has given away 3 penalties since coming back from being yellow carded. Is the guy genuinely a moron?

He knows he’ll get away with it. This is 3 of 4 big games he’s been carded now isn’t it? Munster and Leinster the other two?

  • Registered Users Posts: 380 ✭✭conor678

I don't know. He's been at it since his debut but seemed to always get away with it. Refs must be getting wise to it now

Exeter are doing what Leinster didn't against Saracens. They haven't gotten sucked into a battle of collisions. They're doing what they need to do up front before going wide. Leinster had chances to go wide and score a few weeks ago, but failed to identify those opportunities.

Saracens may still win this, but Exeter won't be rueing what ifs.

This game has everything, including a typical 10 try line tackle.

Really wanting the chief's to win here. Am very nervous. Grudgingly admire sarries but can't warm to them

    Well, ****.

    Some response from Saracens.

Exeter struggling since a change in scrum half

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

    Wow!! Such a miss

Odd call for the lineout. And that is that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

Exeter only themselves to blame for that one, what a mess

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

If you have an 11 point lead with 30 minutes to go and then concede 21 unanswered points you dont deserve to win any game, nevermind a final.

    Itoje, MOTM?
Is it true Healy is gone from BT after this season?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

Austin Healy decides the person who deserves MOTM is a man who gave away 7 penalties and got yellow carded costing his team 12 points while he was off the field.

    Well done

He’s had a huge impact in the second half

He’s had a huge impact in the second half

He had a huge impact on the first half too, in a different manner.

Yep. The positives outweighed the negs. Shame that Chiefs couldn't do it - probably partly because the outstanding Nic White ran out of legs.

    I know nothing

That's the last time I'll post an opinion on a domestic match this season

Super game and another double for McCall. Incredible trophy haul to be fair.

  • Registered Users Posts: 380 ✭✭conor678

Serious question. Why doesn't McCall get more credit in Ireland or even a link to the Ireland job?

    Unbelievable record.

Anytime there is a vacancy anywhere within Irish rugby his name is usually top of the list.

He gets as much recognition as you can give to someone who doesn't seem to have any desire to work in Ireland.

Fair enough. I've never heard him mentioned seriously so was wondering if he's been burnt by the irfu previously. If you read the English papers there's clamouring in some (guardian and telegraph) for him for the English vacancy which made me wonder about demand in Ireland

Just heard on RTE's "The Business" that L Irish have lost a sponsor over their signing of Paddy Jackson.

Did some digging and found this report about the signing.

    https://www.rugbypass.com/news/sponsor-drops-london-irish-over-jackson-signing/

however, the club sees things differently:-

    https://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/sport/rugby/sponsors-decision-to-part-ways-not-related-to-paddy-jackson-signing-says-london-irish-38191723.html

Plenty more fun and games ahead for Paddy and LI I reckon.

Meanwhile, Paddy's fellow "top shagger" Stuart Olding has moved smoothly into Top 14 rugby with CA Brive after last week's win in the promotion playoff game!

i would have thought that Tigers would have been one of the more well off clubs in the english league.

One of the best supported for sure, they get great crowds in, despite them being rubbish for the last few years.

A change of ownership might be a good thing, their current board are absolutely useless. More focused on marquee signings than building a competitive squad. A root and branch clean out could do wonders.

September 13th is the date set for the RFU council to vote on the 13 team, no automatic relegation proposal for the Premiership. Will be a playoff between bottom of the Premiership and top of the Championship over two legs, so no ringfencing.

Mark Wilson gone on loan to Sale for the season from Newcastle. Probably a good bit of business from Newcastle considering they're favourites to get promoted next season and he'd be looking for an exit otherwise.
