Took James Ryan MOTM @ 9/1, not my usual sort of selection but have a feeling it might be worth a punt

Double on Ireland and Crusaders HT/FT @EVENS
Double on Ireland and Crusaders both to score first try and lead HT @2/1
    :)
Don't usually go for enhanced match specials but Murray to score try in first half and Cooney in second half @66/1 looks good value
    Conway to outscore Hogg @2/1
    HT handicap Ireland -7 @EVENS
Ireland first half race to 15 @6/5
No success here but were smaller stakes so profitable day overall. Think I'll stay away from tomorrows game to ensure it stays that way :pac:

A total wipeout for me - had England more than 10.5 in first half and to win by more than 5. Still it took PP three weeks to wipe-out my entire stake so I regard that as a win of sorts. :D

    They're currently +4 with PP.

Id imagine at best it's a scratch game

    Ireland v Wales.

Wales to win by 10 pts or more.

    7/1 Coral.

I backed Scotland last week @ 13/2. Delighted we won ,dunno how I lost that bet. I'm not convinced about us at the moment.

I see everyone thinks Wales + the points is a gift from the gods. Not so fast my friends. Few things i learned from betting the NFL: never underestimate revenge, or home field. And most importantly don't bet handicaps based off last weeks game.

I think this match fits all those angles and now that I can get Ireland -3 evs I'm happy to take that. This is a huge game to silence the doubters imo. Everyone in Ireland is down on them now and the handicap has dropped like a stone as a result. Ive always found home fans are too overemotional and are too up or down based on recent results.

Wales havent won in Ireland since 2012 and this team isnt coached by the same fella as last time.

Was also considering taking Under 37.5 but the weather doesnt seem to be as bad as expected. Its windy here in Donegal but not top wet, Dublin isnt as bad as here. Still, it should be a tight game. Lean to the under but I am going to take that bet in the later game instead, checking the weather for Murrayfield it appears they are going to have it windier and wetter than here if thats possible. Last game was 38 all and matches rarely go the same way twice. Plus watching Scotland they cant score tries even when they are on the doorstep.

Under 37.5 in England Scotland for my second bet of the day.

Wales/Wales HT/FT Result at 5/2 looks the best rugby bet of the weekend IMO. You will see a marked change to the way Wales want to play and will run us ragged against a more structured, direct Ireland. The weather looks dry too in Dublin, albeit a bit windy, which should suit the Welsh more than ourselves.

God I will continue to sing Amhran na Bhfiain and Ireland's call with augusto and fanfare. Hopefully we will come out on top, but if we do, it will have to be a very low scoring encounter.

My prediction in my heart goes for Ireland 9 Wales 8
My prediction otherwise is Wales 27 Ireland 10

You weren't the only one. Reading the other threads on the match was hilarious, people saying we need to get a different manager, as if he hadnt got them to number 1 before the World Cup. I've been betting US football handicaps for a long time and use a lot of the same angles, mostly based on scheduling spots, doesn't always work out but sometimes it does.

Last week I had Scotland +14 as Ireland had hammered them the last 2 games and thought they might not be too bothered to show their full hand, and might be looking ahead to the revenge game with Wales. Home fans don't tend to look at that overall big picture, they tend to overreact to one game.

No doubt we'll be a dead cert for the Grand Slam now after this win lol.

Serious after-timing here but it's a long time since I have such a tense but ultimately happy outing. At halftime in the dire Scotland v England game I threw caution to the wind and took Scotland to score over 3.5 in total - threw the whole weekend pot at and won!! Still can't believe it.

I also won the pub draw for 1st try scorer. :D

I'd keep away from the betting so as it's hard enough to win even when you follow the game. :)

It depends on the England bounce back and how far along they are. I’d back England for a margin of 12-20 but honestly it’s a mugs game this time around.

    Even stakes on anytime try-scorer.

    Murray-7/1

    Henshaw- 17/2

Sexton- 10/1 (W.H. on that one.)

Post world cup Six-Nations- it's a bit of a lottery for betting. Changes in personnel,W.C. hangovers etc. Every match brings surprises!

Keeping it quite small for the ireland game don't have a great feel for it but gone with

    Ireland +6 at ht
    Ireland +10
    Under 45.5 points
    2/1

Going each way 1/4 odds on first 3 tries on

    Murray 22/1
    Aki 33/1

Backing both anytime too at 5/1 and 7/1

Will 6 nations outright bets stand if games are cancelled? I'm on France for the slam...

If all France's games go ahead and they win slam it will stand as will be guaranteed title. I'd assume that if games are cancelled they'll be rescheduled for later on (no idea when or where) if possible, especially if they will have say on outcome.

Available at -11 now, and I honestly think it's money for nothing.

Highlanders without Aaron Smith who is by far our best player and leader. Also m nareki who has been good for us, along with parete in the row and Johnson at prop are all injuries. Coltman an enforced AB rest as well.

Put onto that the travel aspect, the looming suspension of the league.... There is nothing in this for the Highlanders to get worked up about.

Jaguares have brought a few inexperienced guys in, but are well stocked in the back line with experience and guile. All they need is parity up from and they can caused a lot of damage.

It is behind closed doors, but I still expect the hags to be well up for this.

-11 looks at least half of what it should be in my eyes.

    for the weekend

    waratahs -9 v force @10/11
    reds +1 v rebels @evens
    highlanders +6 v canes @ evens

    force win 1-12 @4/1

hard to see how the force will get on, they could come all out bombing with a chip on their shoulder and something to prove and beat this relatively young tahs team..... but conversely they havent played top level rugby in 3 years, and they might find the step up from NPC to super rugby a bit of a shock. Signings of lance, godwin, pek cowan and frisby will definitely help ground some of the younger guys.... and of course they have jeremy thrush there as well.... so ive thrown something on a narrow force win at 4/1
