I'm almost certain that Val Venis falls on the Pro-Trump side.

I know Big CASS got a lot of heat backtstage over his pro trump views .. Batista made an interesting statement recently saying how he wished others on his positions ( in acting or wrestling) were more outspoken in their views. Rock recently endorsed Biden I think. I wonder does any of this cause tension backstage given the McMahons family’s close ties to DT. It honestly wouldn’t surprise me if Cena was a full blown MAGA head

Yeah I’m fairly sure there’s a good few, notably Vince of course. Who else is a confirmed trump supporter? Ziggler?

The most outspoken I’ve seen a n the other side Are Sami and Batista
Undertaker. He was wearing Trump t-shirts in his documentary.

Jackson Ryker recently got called out for supporting Trump during the Black Lives Matter protests.

Road Dogg is another big Trump cultist.

Cody almost definitely. A few years back he posted on Twitter bragging about drinking whiskey in his MAGA hat and complained about foreigners working in Starbucks. A few months ago he liked tweets that were telling Sami Zayn to go back to Canada if he didn't like how Trump was dealing with Covid. He then unliked them when called out about it and said it was an "accident".

The Young Bucks were posting shít about Obama being a "socialist fraud", although that was a long time ago now but that seems like typical MAGA talk.

Loads of wrestlers probably are but doing it publicly is career suicide, or merch sales suicide at least.

Just thinking of the days I used to watch WWE Livewire every Saturday morning after Smackdown on Sky 1. Johnathan Coachman used to present it. Never thought I'd see that guy become a heelish on-screen personality later down the line.

Christ. So not the inclusive, progressive person he wants us to believe. That’s one of the issues I have with AEW is they preach one thing but as is clear from above the facade slips. I mean the JR tweet from earlier in the week would be something AEW and others would crucify wwe for but if one of their employees does the same thing you hear nothing. And Brandi Rhodes can pretend all she wants to be different from Steph McMahon but she’s as bad as her in shoehorning herself in matches and things there’s no reason to be in.

Do a wrestler's political views even matter, especially when I don't think anyone knows why they would be in favour of x or y, and not a or b. To dismiss someone based solely on their political stances, especially when no one has heard them explain their position just seems like folly to be honest.

"I heard Rikisihi wore a maga hat... Ooooh burn the witch". I would have thought wrestling fans, who growing up might have been taunted relentlessly for wearing wrestling merch, would resist the witchhunt and snap judgments.

When they support crap like qanon and covid deneying crap and homophobia etc I think it matters as you can’t support them fully

This isn’t always just as simple as they support one political party

Well I don't know what QAnon is, I suggest it might be something that lives only on the Internet.
Covid denying, I'd say it's not covid minimising, which is an active part of our own govt strategy when they decided against going with NPHETS suggestion of level 5,so I can't judge anyone on that one to be fair.
Homophobia, again if there are comments and public statements where they have done that, I would not choose to support them, but anything said in a calm and rational way, not a random recording of an attempted "joke" etc. I would then consider.

I just don't like the increasing polarisation of society where if you look at a person's hair style you can immediately tell their whole social and political viewpoint in 2 seconds.

25 years ago tonight wwf held IYH 4 in Winnipeg, Canada and it’s on the live channel on the network right now. This is the event where Shawn Michaels was stripped of the IC title to Sean Douglas who’s reign didn’t last long.

In light of the weekend that’s in it with the latest instalments into the HIAC match body of work happening this weekend,I’ve just finished watching the first one between taker and Shawn Michaels. What a classic match that still holds up to this day. It should be required viewing for any wrestler in wwe who’s about to have their first HIAC match, because even though you couldn’t do some of the things from the first match today for obvious reasons, the psychological of the match is perfect.

First I've seen of this type of wrestling hobby. Looking up prices of the boxes and they are not cheap

The Collectors card market is gold if you have the right stuff

Road Dogg is such an insufferable arsehole. He's one of those anti-mask, Covid is nonsense gowls. Shane Helms is putting him in his place on Twitter.

If ever there was a bloke who I'd be happy to see the retrospective police go after for his sh1t gimmick.

If IIRC, James was the lad venting his displeasure at BLM movement too back in the summer.

Appartently an irate HBK put him in his place after being educated on the matter by his kid.

I'd understand if Road Dogg was an idea machine but his tenure on both SD and NXT have been dirt.

Im not defending him, but what have you got to back that up?

Thinking about it now very hard to see the Royal Rumble working in this type of format with no fans in attendance

Could we see it been moved to where fans can attend or even pushed back ?

They won’t push it back. Considering the company went ahead with Mania with no fans they will certainly go ahead with the rumble with no fans.

They mightn't have as many surprises due to lack of reactions, not counting their fake reactions.

On that note, is it only us that hears the noise or can they hear the noise in the Thunderdome?

    The whole bar fight huh...
Michaels was a little diva back in the day, wasn't he?

There can't be anyone else who got away with what he did..

The ever changing number of marines yeah. He was lucky he was so gifted in the ring because many people who were there at the time either were indifferent to him or hated him be us he was an asshole. I’m sure people got leeway compared to others but no I can’t think of anyone else who could do what he did and get away with it.

Anyone else like Pete Dunne's theme? I think It has an old school feel to it. Like the music, you would have heard during the 90's. I quite like it like that.

I wonder is Vince living in Florida now or does he fly down for the shows.

Or even does he attend them anymore and video links in.

I've seen some terrible promos in the past but this one between Roman Reigns and John Cena really takes the cake. Reigns got absolutely destroyed by Cena here.

Have been watching a lot of older stuff on the network and rewatching a lot of older Rock and Austin stuff. Personally, when I think back on these two, it’s mainly “moments” I remember rather than matches ( I know they’ve both have numerous great matches but we’re mainly so over Cos of their mic skills) so I’m wondering, what are your top Austin and/or Rock matches? I don’t mean gaisnt each other necessarily but some of their matches are classics

The three mania matches come to mind straight away with 17 being the best of the three as a whole.

I loved their often forgotten match from In Your House D-Generation X for the IC Title. Basically Austin battering the Nation all over his pick up truck :pac:

The nation I can understand but who’s the ref ? chioda ? Often forgotten is right as I can’t remember when I’ve seen that match last.
