Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Cold and dull today with a breeze that would cut you in half in south Dublin, glad to see the North West finally getting the better of the weather.

Have a weather station?, why not join the Ireland Weather Network - http://irelandweather.eu/

Meanwhile, Valentia 21c and way out on the Dingle Peninsula, Ventry is 23c!!!

It's only 8 degrees here at moment in Dublin. I'm half wondering if it an April fools joke but I'm sure Met Eireann wouldn't do that to us and they did say it could get up to 19 today!

Is there anyone here who is actually sunning themselves down there and can tell us it's real!

I was thinking earlier in the week how long would it take until we get our first 20c of the year with this Northerly coming up. Little did I know ha.

    From met

A max temperature of 21.2°C was recorded at our weather station at Valentia in Co.Kerry this afternoon!
When we get easterly winds, the warmest temperatures are generally in the west of the country. Valentia gets an extra boost as the Föhn effect increases temperatures here.

Nice hike here, high of 14c and a low of 4c. We had a mostly cloudy day, with some sunshine now and in the evening.

Was cool and cloudy here all day as well. Finally brightened up in the evening at least so managed a couple of hours of sun before it set, great to see daylight until well after 8pm now

The 14c was quite pleasant, the drop to 11c was sharpish and with an increase in a breeze, I certainly noticed it! :D

There was a hard nip in the wind this evening, despite temps being around 10-11c at the time.

Breezy much of the day but lighter towards mid afternoon. Got up to 19.6C here near Tralee in hazy sunshine. Very pleasant indeed, did get to eat outdoors and even had to create a bit of shade, felt quite warm working outdoors, even got my wide brimmed hat on today.

Very strange airmass, no wind but temp rising and falling despite the strong sun. Struggling to make double figures.

It was a cold overcast evening here.

Beautiful sunny morning if a little cool. 9c now, south cavan.

Lovely and bright here in NCD but only 7 degrees.

We only hit max of 8 degrees here yesterday meanwhile 21 degrees at Valentina.

Now I'm not complaing we have had fab weather in Dublin all week. Glad the rest of country got a bit of that yesterday.

For such a small island we do get great variation in weather/ temperature on the same day at times.

Lovely day in Meath. The sky has cleared and a surprisingly warm sun despite it only being 10c. Have a nice sheltered spot from the cool east breeze and it feels like a summers day.

Yes it's lovely now! Good month so far for the most part, I hope this nonsense starting on Sunday doesn't last too long.

Another stunningly beautiful day here in NCD.

Not a cloud in sky for few past few hours.

Bird song everywhere and buzzards soaring in sky.

It's says only 9 degrees but we are out in sheltered back garden definitely feels about 16 degrees in the sun.

Spectacular day in D16. Met eireann reckons it's only around 9 degrees here but feels a hell of a lot warmer in the sun.

Beautiful afternoon I’d say the nicest so far this year lovely and warm in the sun.

Just saw another thread predicting snow. I assumed this was an April’s fools joke and posters actually willing it to happen. It reminds me of people who don’t want Lockdowns to end!!!

Or of people who wish for 30c+ during summer?

I agree with your first point though, today is the nicest day of the year so far for me.

Tuesday was the best day here in NCD as it was like today except 17 degrees, don't get me wrong today also fab but not as warm.

Didn't get it done in North Mayo...still quite damp and don't want to leave marks on it with ride on for the sake of waiting a week.

Yeah, working outside today and felt warm out of the wind and quite cool in the shade .Was out a while ago passing the gable end of the house and you could feel the warmth radiating off it. Sun is getting strong, can feel it the face, could get burnt easily, got a moderate UV index reading of 3.9 today.

First sunny day since I think some time in February here. Was stuck in the 'office' until late so missed most of it but great to have the longer evenings now. Hopefully a repeat tomorrow
