Wrong. It would be a relatively easy task.

We tend to forget that Ireland isn't the 'neutral' happy go-lucky country across the world. We may not be involved in wars in the Middle East but our lifestyle and the ideals we share do piss a lot of people off.non-religious extremists are most likely going to mount an attack.

Wrong. The Defence Forces are operating in the Mediterranean, the Middle East and Africa. All areas where extremists operate. Our ties with NATO and the U.S are also a factor.

Also, what is a "non-religious extremist"?!

The only problem is access to any destructive weapon (firearm, explosive) or even low level chemical weapons is extremely difficult. This probably discounts lone wolf attackers.

Wrong. What does this mean? In situations where small arms weapons or CW are not accessible, the low capability attack is the weapon of choice for lone wolf attacks.....cars, trucks, knives. In fact, low level CW and explosives can be made from mixing shop bought detergents.

An attack here is even more likely because Ireland still hasn't 'lost it's innocence' in regards to terror attacks like the US, UK and France. Most likely any attack will try to exploit and bring to light the unpreparedness of the health service and law enforcement which will certainly provoke a reaction to start changing laws and mindsets...all what the next terror group wants.

Wrong. Most cities in the World are unprepared for low capability attacks. You can't have police on every corner 24/7. Exploitation of weakness is always used.

And why would the next terror group want us to change our laws, mindsets and reactions to terror attacks?

Your post is full of rubbish.

We've had them in the past and will have them again, but there's no point in getting too work up. We should probably have stricter immigration controls though.

No its not. I'd shytepost some more but I dont want to give any destructive idiots ideas. Everything necessary to cause huge destruction is legally available. The only thing missing is a brain. Hopefully they will stay stupid.

Anyone could drive a car up onto a footpath like the lad did outside Westminster. All it takes is a car and the will to do it. It couldn't be predicted or stopped but it hasn't happened so far. It's not worth worrying about but of course it could happen

Okay but what if they wanted to target the transportation system (Luas and Dublin Bus)? Not sure if terrorists here could get a hold of h2o2 like the London Bombers in a sufficient enough concentration.

That might be true but they don't have to do anything that elaborate. A mad yolk with a kitchen knife can be considered a terrorist attack
