Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Where does it all stop. I think it's a terrible idea to commemorate. The Kilmichael ambush is on the back and that was a piece of carnage that is still fought over by historians today. Theres Protestants in west Cork with a completely different set of memories and beliefs to the Republican ones. Are we going to commemorate their missing family members from 1920to23

    Well done to Cork.

Tipp and Dublin are planning a series of events to commemorate Bloody Sunday culminating in senior football challenge as part of event in Croke Park in November. Some Tipp supporters are petitioning county board for Tipp to wear the Grangemockler jersey the team wore on that day.

Charlie Flanagan shall not be pleased!

What if the Northern teams start commemorating bombers who's victims are still alive and maimed..?

Good game of hurling. Could have sneaked it near the end. Yet again, Hoggie was the scorer in chief, placed balls obviously, from play, we really need more scorers. Clean sheet in goal was nice to have.

Fair play. Bit of a kick in the nuts for Jarlath Burns though.

Think his being seen as too much of an insider cost him.

    Cork 3-13 Derry 3-11 FT

    Cork 1-16 Galway 2-18 FT

Footballers hung on after late Derry goals

    Cork 3-13
    Derry 3-11

If Tipp beat Longford Cork are promoted

Hurlers lost by 5. Sounds like the Cork red card was crucial

    Galway 2-18
    Cork 1-16

    Cork 1-12 v Mayo 1-04
Cork ramped up the pressure in the second half and there was only one team in it, limiting Mayo to a single second half point.
Last 10 mins we knocked over 4 or 5 points to make it more clear how big the gap really was.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,719 ✭✭✭Seadin

2 wins and 3 loses for the hurlers now in the league. Beaten well today it must be said. Bit of a disaster going forward. Same problems again on the field that we are seeing time and time again.

Haunted not to concede a penalty there

Plenty of chances for forwards but kicking into keepers hands

    Doing well midfield so far

    4 points up at ht.
Lot of shots being left short.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,043 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

That last free from Cronin was poor

    He's scored 1, hit a post from 1 and dropped 1 short

Need to be nailing all those

Still good position to be in at HT

    Kerry 1 up

We're starting giving away passes straight to Kerry players

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,563 ✭✭✭The White Feather

Cork taking all the wrong options for the last few minutes. Bad wides and bad passes

Letting this game get away from us

Getting cleaned midfield at this stage

Kerry 4 up with 1 min left

Only 4 points scored in second half to their 8

    5 mins injury time though

    Final score Kerry 0-17 v Cork 1-09

Lost our way completely at midfield in the second half, which gave them so much possession that the scores were bound to follow.
It really was a Jeckle and Hyde performance comparing each half.

We didnt help by giving away a few soft frees in front of goal.

Great kicker of a ball - he needed to take more shots when he even had half a chance

Well that's Cork football for you. Good team but always beaten by Kerry no matter what the grade. I say it was more we threw away that game than Kerry being better but thats life. We left Kerry dominate mid field in 2nd half. Why?

Football or hurling it doesn’t matter our side line can never make a move to change a game Kerry brought on 4 to5 subs in the second half and we brought no one on until game was over with about 2 to 3 minutes to go

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,043 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

    Not true

We had 2 of the 5 subs used by HT

    Subs: B Lynch (Douglas) for Phelan (28); C Corbett (Clyda Rovers) for Ó Luasa (HT, inj);

One 10 mins into second half

    B Curtin (Kilshannig) for Lawton (39);

    One 20 mins

    D Hayes (Carbery Rangers) for B Hayes (52);

    Then one at the end

C Russell (Douglas) for Herlihy (59).

Could we possibly have used 2 more subs earlier ... Yes

Then again you also have to allow for injuries
