Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Wood is a scrappy little bollox in fairness to him

    Great finish.

Rogans constent insistence that guys should get riskier is annoying sometimes, these guys face the risk of their paycheque being cut in half by losing. they're already being paid pittance.

If you haven't seen it, look at his second last fight before going to the UFC. Absolute classic!

Do you have revolut? We could do it via PM, I'll give you first fight I take second, fiver a fight . Could be a bit of craic

    No I don't.

Congrats on the Win, I have no money on the BJ fight I was unsure, but I think I would have bet against him, he looked a shell of his former self at the weigh in.

Great early prelims, 3 finishes and a good fight to decision. Decent pacing as well squeezing 4 fights into little over 90 mins.

Only time I properly saw him outside the UFC was when he fought Vaughan "love" Lee. He is a great propsect though.

Ah BJ. FFS I fell in love with you because of the walkout. What is this sh*te.

God damn it BJ, don't change the walkout music! Hoping he can pull off the upset but he's looked completely shot for years now.

Not surprised at the result but surprised at how it happened. Thought BJ would at least get tired first

sub was 4s but having never been subbed I couldnt do it, biggish price considering where bj is at now in his career and the amount of sub wins hall has

It’s all Ryan can really do, he offers nothing on the feet. Classy guy though.

I thought if BJ was going to be subbed it would be though exhaustion in the 3rd round. Consider this the opposite of after-timing.

A violent f*cker. Fair play to the corner. Not enough of that in MMA

Its strange, Yan is robotic almost stiff, but still so fast he appears fluid. Its a strange style, a damage machine.

Managed to lose track to time and missed the early prelims and the BJ Vs Hall fight. Saw Hall subbed him online. Didn't see it coming. What was the sub? Happy for Hall, I really like him as a bjj player.

Dived into position at BJs feet transitioned to a heel hook for about 3 secs was in as deep as it can go and it was over.

Yes. On the button, taking the risk if fighting a striker that he will meet you with a knee, but he was so quick

I love how after it rogan was saying all he needed to do was roll into it to avoid it. When in that much pain I couldn’t imagine your fight IQ is at its height.

I like Cat as well, I remember that Nunes fight she won. Went with value again and Megan on pts at 3/1, only crossing my fingers really. Won't begrudge Cat a win.

edit: well that was strange. Hope she is ok.

Cat beat Miesha at first ever UFC event I attended in the US. I’ve had a soft spot for her ever since

Missed the commentary but I'd say he was saying as the inside leg is being scooped, if you basically tumble forward you're out 9 times of 10. If you hit the mat with both legs controlled ya fooked up a long time ago.

Yeah I imagine in that situation your brain is just screaming the word fúck over and over again as opposed to thinking logically about the situation.

Yeah I get that ( well I get what your saying) I’ve only started BJJ, but when attacked at the speed Ryan went at your brain won’t always kick in.

If he rolled over onto his front facing would he not of been able to move out of it.

    That was too easy.

There was a great reply below saying he's the first man to submit the ghost of BJ Penn. That's it essentially.
BJ hasn't won a fight in 8 years dunno why he's still competing. MacDonald, Rodriguez, Diaz & Edgar all gave him quite a beating too. Losing to the likes of Hall by submission on the prelims is rock bottom for him at 40 years old.
