I think a lot of people feel it is profoundly unjust stuff on Saturday is allowed while a lot of small pubs are still closed. And behavior like that could spoil it for a lot of other businesses playing by the rules. If I was a pub owner I would be seriously annoyed that if I had to be closed while someone else happily ignores the rules without much punishment. I don't believe place should be closed but they should be fined and any financial supports (wage subsidy scheme, rates deferrals, re-opening grants) should be stopped or in case of re-opening grants repaid. They can break the rules but not while being supported by the state at the same time.

I went into my leisure centre to go to the gym yesterday. There was matches taking place on the 5 a side pitches. We can't just be outraged because some people don't decide to sit down and act all solemn during the pandemic. People are human. Give them some booze and a bit of human contact and that is what will happen. It's happening everywhere. They're retarded to do it in a public space but that's a different point

Yep, enforcement needs to be the deterrent, while I know a couple of pubs that were raided when they were supposed to be closed, it’s not publicized or heard of much so is it happening much ? Need ‘distancing inspections’... ok the meal thing is bs but I’d rather it than not.

Again though we need MM on TV... the Garda Commissioner, whoever, warning those who would risk the public health of the citizens of this state for profit and informing of what the consequences will be... license gone, business gone.. prosecution, good luck and fûck ya.

Ehm yes it is. Because if they are worried this will go on in pubs all over the country when people are drunk they will keep pubs closed. Nobody on that footage looked like they were locked up to me. However some businesses are and if more people behave like that it's likely they will stay locked up.
