Aged 45 since earlier this year, but cannot register!!

Is it only if you 45 since before January 1st, as all you enter is your birth year??

Is it really that complicated to:-

    1) Leave us put our full birth date, so they can calculate correct age?
    or
    2) Clearly state its for people 45 from the end of last year only??

A relative of mine was 45 earlier this year and registered no problem. Similar with a 47 year old

    Corduff D15.
    Registered 15th May.
Text yesterday for City West Thursday 27th May 9am.
    Moderna.

    ****
Pig of a place to get to without car, will have to get bus into town (which will literally put me within touching distance of Croke Pk) then Luas out to City West.
Seems to be no way to get location changed, but so be it. Have tried the helpline a few times but always told no.

I'll aim for 9am but if I turn up at 10am rather than 9 would there be any issue?

i read that some taxi companies will cover up to 20 each way on journey to get vaccine. Worth checking out

I know several 45-year-olds who registered successfully since Sunday. You must be doing something wrong.

44, booked in for June 11

Might be because my wife is high risk

Got the 1st Pfizer dose today after registering last friday. (48yrs) City Hall Cork.

Good crowds there this afternoon. V. well organised. In and out in less than half an hour (including the 15min observation).

For anyone going to City Hall the q-park right next door are discounting your first hour if you are getting the vaccine.

They seem to be back to Pfizer after almost a week of J&J in the Helix & most centers haven't had J&J at all. Obviously big supply issues

Logistically it might make sense to use J&J in a big population area so to clear space in a few weeks for second AZ shots.

Saw that too. A bit disappointing. When many of the MVCs are down to 47, 46 and even some 45s, you'd have expected it to open today really. They seem to be creating a deliberate gap (given they promise 3 days notice so if the portal opens on Monday you are looking at tomorrow week at earliest before they start jabbing the 44s). Subject to correction this was not what happened when they went from the 65-69s to the 60-64s and all the 50s were done as a 10 year block. I know the 40s is a big cohort but clearly in some MVCs they could move onto 44s by this weekend if they aimed to do that.
