Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It was a great feeling of being connected to everyone. The rush as we all started, slowly at first then rapidly, to strip. It was a truly fantastic experience.

I feel like a spa, I thought it was tonight :o

"It was a great feeling of being connected"

Exactly. The closest thing I've ever experienced to it was e. The way everyone laughed and joked at the silliest little things. And it wasn't nervous laughter (at least not for me). I genuinely thought the fact that two seagulls meancingly flue overhead, when we were all been encouraged to look skyward, was the funniest thing ever!

I thought the exact same thing. It was just a pure happy rush of adrenaline

    Lol @ Mairt

Brendan, you must have been near to where I was, I remember seaguils as we all looked up into the sky. Pic of moi

Well done everyone for going along. I was really looking forward to going, but by the time I made it home last night to pick up a few things I was just far too knackered to go out again. Bed lured me into her sweet embrace. I didn't chicken out, I swear :D

Boston... don't think I recognise your face... you're cute though :-)

I wasn't directly under the gulls, about 20 metres towards Spencer, but u must have been close.

I think those gulls were probably quite disappointed that they couldn't rest on the journey from Howth to Blackrock! Bloody naked people.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 18,239 ✭✭✭✭WindSock

Did yous go to Howth? Ah ffs, I could have got out of bed and gone to that one :(

Just up out of bed can`t sleep too much red bull taken to stay awake for last night. What a morning ,the beach set up was def worth stayin for, it ended up like a scene from "Saving Private Ryan"except everyone was charging into the sea ...and they were naked as well I suppose.Fair play to everyone who was there, but you`ve ruined "ole ole ole" for me now will be picturing naked people everytime i hear that song now.:D

Yea, its only for women and couples though. I'm tempted to go but wonder what his view on same sex couples is?

Wow I didn't know this, but I wouldn't be been going as a couple :(

Unless the OH re-considers, but if The Daily Star newspaper goes and acts the pr*ck again my chances are slim of her reconsidering.

I lost my yellow yoke, I know the venue etc but is it 3am? Trying to get the mrs to go!

You could give it a try I guess, and while I'd rather go as a hetro couple I'd hook up with a bloke for the shoot (once we don't have to hold hands & stuff :) ).

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17,163 ✭✭✭✭Boston

I think you need the yellow slip to get in.

Erm, theres a reason he wants couples as there will be a lot more physical contact. Don't take it the wrong way but yer not me type Mairt

Well you could always go in drag! Sticky tape is great stuff.

Where is tomorrow's on? I doubt my bf would go anyway, but you never know... would be the end of pride night.

Lads, what's the deal on the one tomorrow night. Can someone post details, my missus wanted to come this morning but we couldn't get a babysitter. Do you think if we just turned up we'd get in ?

Can someone post the details of the yellow slip ?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17,163 ✭✭✭✭Boston

    Its already there,

3:30 sharp, IFSC, grand canal square.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,489 ✭✭✭iMax

Isn't grand canal square down between Sir John Rogerson’s Quay and Pearse Street, by hanover quay ? (not in the IFSC)

Do you think we'd get in with just the release form rather than the yellow thing ?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 32 brendan4

But it'd be a right kick in the goolies if you persuaded your OH to go and then they wouldn't let you in for lack of yellow slip... or even worse, if ST thought you didn't meet the grade. I'd be ok, of course... just thinking of others :-)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 15 don65

I'm gutted i missed this mornings as well. Myself and my wife really want to do it. What did it say on the yellow slip specifically? eg. was it just time and location details or did it say you would not get in without it?

Do you think if we just turned up with the release we would get in???

Ok, fair enough, I think of that whole area as the IFSC.

Standing naked in Dublin Bay in the pissing rain with a crowd of 'zany' gullible people singing 'ole ole ole.' This is my 4th circle of hell. Ever get the feeling you've been cheated?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12 edthetedkelly

I would consider myself far from gullible. As I explained to a few people earlier, if someone wants to take a picture of my hairy ass and call it art more power to them. I think Tunick's work is very interesting and occasionally stunning but I was not there for art's sake. I was there to experience something I probably never would again. Namely get naked with 2500 other people.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17,163 ✭✭✭✭Boston

    How where we gullible?

Some people just try things so they can put them down.

I can see myself in one of those pics, oh dear... :D

Interesting morning, I was glad I stuck around for the last shoot although we were left standing nude for a lot shorter time than those closest to the lighthouse in the first shoot, so I didnt get as cold as others (actually the cold didnt bother me much at all surprisingly).

what a fantastic time one of the best and most surreal experiences ever thousands of strangers one minute and then everyone seemed connected was a blast. and to the lads that met at the Isaacs what a ****in laff.

Wow, the beach pictures are very identifable... but look like fun alright.

Don't think I heard one person have any regrets that they did this today. And a fantastic way to finish off the morning - any talk of being cold and wet vanished as soon as the first person was seen sprinting onto the beach! It was like you were missing out if you didn't get on there as soon as possible too!

To all the lads who met up before at Isaacs - cheers for a great morning guys.

Who's idea was it to dust off the ol' Polaroid and head out there ourselves next weekend..?:D:eek:

  • Registered Users Posts: 15 jd2010

Wow, what a great way to spend a morning hey? I really had a blast. It was so surreal. There was just a great sense of euphoria and instant togetherness once everyone took the plunge. It was really special. I still have a grin on my face, and I'm sure anyone who passed us by on the ferries does too! Thoroughly enjoyed it and met some lovely people. Hope he comes back next year!:)

I was about 7th row back from, the lighthouse. Turnick had said that the second installation would be a reverse shot and we whad to maintain position as we would then be the front.

He didn't do the second and skipped to the third "surprise" one.

So cold that decided against the beacj and opted for a cup of tea at the stall. While there some rather grubby members of the press went huffing and puffing their way with cameras to catch the ole ole chanting.

TBH they didn't catch anything about what it was actually about..but you know sunday tabliouids, tits and ass sell.

there seemd to be more women than men in the area i was. Noone really knew each other, all differnt ages and body types, yet at the end we were all hugging and laughing.. i think Boston you said it was bonding an you were right. It was also incredibly funny at times with everyone waving at the ferries and just generally enjoying themselves.

    Hi,

Could someone with a yellow slip please clarify for me:

    1. Do you thinkn my wife and I could get in without the yellow slip (just the release form)? Or does it specifically say on the slip that you must bring the slip with you??

    2. Is Fresh near Ely Chq/Eno wine bar/Harbourmaster pub in the IFSC or is it completely across the other side of the Liffey??

    Thanks!
