Hehe. An ex boyfriend used to pick his nose and wipe the snot on either his pants or whatever was beside him . Not me obviously.

I couldn't care less about farting, it's involuntary and just natural gas. I just ignore it. I very rarely do it but probably because I don't really eat meat.

I used to get wind from veggie smoothies

That's rotten! I'm not claiming to never have picked my nose but f*cking hell.

Farting is great. It is best ignored or laughed about if the sound catches your funny bone.

I thought vegetarians were renowned for their farting?

I know it is terrible but he could be quite pretentious so the furtive way he did it used to make me smile to myself.

I don't eat many vegetables either lol

See, I don't understand this. I already said that intolerances are so on are grand, or obviously any kind of medical issue. What is a 'limited palette' if it isn't just a synonym for fussy? Why do you not have a choice?

People like what they like. I don't see the point in trying to force people to eat what they don't like within reason.

Obviously, something like refusing to eat anything but chips and nuggets as an adult, is not on.

But if an adult expresses a dislike of certain meats or vegetables, I don't see the issue, despite some people treating it as some form of immaturity.

I've been accused of being fussy before for not eating a lamb dinner because I can't stand lamb. It's not a case of "it's not my favorite", it literally makes me feel sick. I cannot help that, there is no choice involved.

I honestly don't know why any gender would be posing with kids TBH. Very odd.

I mean, it's a dating site. Keep it to pics of you, your friends or adult siblings.

Why would anyone be putting up pics of themselves with their friends or siblings? I wonder how their friends feel about there pic appearing a dating website. To me any pic being used on a dating site should just be of the person and not include their friends, their family, their puppy or pics of themselves with dog or bunny ears. :)

There's a big difference between not being able to stand lamb (I can't, either) and not eating anything bar a few familiar foods.

Profiles that only have photos of the person on their own make them seem self-involved/ like they have no friends. The main pic should always be alone though, and ideally taken in the last six months.

Don’t see why any friends who have photos on insta/ Facebook would have any major objections to being in the background of a tinder picZ

I'll get slated for this but I also like if they have a pic with a few friends because it gives a rough indication of their height without having to ask.

FWIW, I have a few full length pics of just myself, and some with my friends too to give an indication of my height and weight too. Fair is fair :pac:

I won't swipe right to anyone who just has close up pictures of their face.

Why would anyone do whatever means they are more successful on a dating app? The answer is in the question. Simply because it works, and there is plenty of evidence to show it works. It doesn’t do anything for you personally because you’re not into that sort of thing and prefer ‘passport photo only’ so to speak whereas someone else may build up a whole mental image and expectations from seeing a guy posing on his mountain bike in full rigout with a dog on a leash up the mountains in the arsehole of nowhere. Women are not the only people who prefer to present a curated photoshopped image of themselves, guys are just as notorious for it. Because it works.

The dogs trend for what it’s worth, is called ‘dogfishing’ :D

Dogfishing: When online daters pose with adorable pets that aren’t theirs

That’s why people include in their profile photos their children, their granny, their friends, anything they imagine won’t make them look like a desperate loner or a convicted serial killer or just a grumpy, up his own arse bastard who’s no fun (I’ve never been photogenic :o) - it’s not very attractive.

    surely you mean cycling?!!:eek::eek::eek:

Half of single Irish men over 40 seem to be out on their carbon fiber super dooper bikes every weekend - completely bet into their lycra gear, helmets and sunglasses - so you haven't a clue what they look like! But its hard to hide those lumps and bumps in lycra cycling gear - very unforgiving :D

I've often come across men's profiles that have just one photo up - a group one - with about 5 men!!! So I'm there wondering which one it is! It always turns out its the one I don't fancy at all - all his mates are usually gorgeous though . Now I just don't bother swiping on anyone who just has a group photo. How hard is it to put up one decent photo showing your face without caps, sunglasses and other props?

(I have cats and I love dogs. But they don't appear in photos on any dating sites, neither do my kids. I also don't think any of my friends would be happy to be in a group shot on Tinder but maybe that's just an age/generational thing)

Cycling would be more likely but they *say* theyre into kayaking, along with bodybuilding and a hundred other things they've probably never done.

There was one with a photo of himself snuggled up to a woman, but her face had a big yellow sticker on it (photoshop sort of thing). Photos of ex gf on a dating site. Hmmm

I think some people treat those sites like a hobby too

Yeah in tinder land it seems once you do something once your allowed to use it as a hobby even if the rock climbing you did was 4 years ago

Dating sites and apps are like flicking through a destination catalogue from the 80's

Oh look if you meet me, ill be gorgeous, adventurous and intriguing.

I'll be happy, look great with you and I respond to you if you have a photo, but dare you question me for not responding to your mail after its in black and white that I will respond to all mails.

Ill rise a row online, accuse you of being a psycho or needy, then lie and say I was going to get back because I was busy.
But in reality I've no interest whatsoever because you're not my type.
But ill create some drama anyhow because I'm bat **** crazy.

I can say in my profile I respond to everyone, but I don't have to respond to everyone if I don't want to...

Oh then you've the surfer type who's standing in their wetsuit in the kitchen in Offaly somewhere taking a selfie in a lidl wetsuit.. Goes to beach once a year..
