Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi, everyone.

We are happy to share with you that we are about to get Sales Contract closed and will get keys on 12th of June.

As I mentioned in my previous post, that it is impossible to finish new house without any issues. And only thing that differentiates decent builder with High Standard culture from another - it is how willing they are ready to get issues fixed and get customer satisfied.

I found that our builder in general and foremen Gordon and Tom in particular takes care of their customers very carefully and are very open to any questions being raised during snagging process.

Hereby, I would like to express my gratitude and would highly recommend Ballisk to everyone and of course to those purchasers who are about to make a decision whether to go ahead with Ballisk or not.

    Thank you,

Hi - we are looking at buying on Rahillion Drive. The plot has a north facing garden and I wonder if anyone on here is already in one of the houses with a north facing garden and how you find it? I've never considered it as a big deal and like the fact there isn't any development directly behind us, but I've had a few comments that have made me doubt myself.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

I am sure that someone has already got connected to Virgin Media.
Could you please share or experience?
How did they do connection, as Virgin requires coaxial outlet to be installed in house, but we have RJ45 sockets only.

Do they pull in any new cables next entrance door or any other stuff?

    Regards,

  • Registered Users Posts: 28 Min89

    Hi Alexey,

We had Virgin media installed during the week. Our service didn’t work due to internal cable damage but they are coming to run new cabling tomorrow.

We have two coaxial cables in the termination boxes at the side of the house, these run up to a box in the hot press and then can be patched to two bedrooms, kitchen and sitting room from there. We have rj45 and coaxial connections in each of these rooms.

    Hope this helps.....

Hi, thank you very much will follow up with Virgin.

I found that address in my sales contract (# Rahillion Drive, Donabate, County Dublin) differs from houses on the same street having info from eircode.ie
For instance based in eircode.ie: house #10 on Rahillion Drive has an address: 10 Rahillion Drive, Rahillion, Portrane, Co. Dublin

Could some one clarify that :)

    thanks

  • Registered Users Posts: 33 Nikki2510

    Hi Singita,

    Hey

Bit of a random one.. we have a 3 bed in Crescent and the downstairs bathroom has space for washer / dryer - I've been promised that they can fit integrated machines here and doors over them - has anyone managed to do this? and if so was it just a standard sized integrated machines ?

    thanks all :)

We have 3-bed on Rahillion Drive. and have WVG30461 installed. it is a bit out of dimensions on front as water in/out pipes on rear side hinder to fit washer right to wall. But I believe it depends house by house.

    Hi everyone,

Just wondering is anybody from the Crescent planning to move in this week? We are hoping to move in on Friday if we can get all the paperwork through on time. The ESB was installed today according to the builders, who have been brilliant in trying to get us in before their upcoming holidays.

Great news for you Sorcha, I know a few of us are only snagging in the crescent this Thursday, Do you mind me asking how long ago you snagged?

  • Registered Users Posts: 7 sorchakelly

    Hi

We snagged about 3 weeks ago (Although the ESB wasn't connected back then). We are trying to complete everything this week and get in for the weekend if possible. It's a bit of a rush but fingers crossed.

We did our snagging 3 weeks ago, I am going in for re-snagging tomorrow. I am waiting for the builder to give a building complete notification to the solicitor

We re-snagged today. Gordon indicated it would likely be next week before the paper work goes out but they are trying for.this week. Awaiting fingal co co sign off.

Builders holidays shouldnt stop the closing.. so shouldnt be too long before were in...

Hi. Has anyone got notification on when they can move in? Gordon told us all documentation was sent to solicitors on Friday 20th. But now our solicitor is saying they have only received one of 3 required documents. Which is delaying is even further.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11 singita

We are really counting on it being this week. Did your solicitor say when he/she thought it was more likely to be?

    thanks!

Apparently the builders solicitors have promised the outstanding documents by Wednesday, so would be Thursday at earliest to close. But if documents aren't received at that time could push out to Friday or even next week

Hi- we are awaiting contract and detailed spec but could someone confirm if the oven is included in the kitchen? I know white goods aren't but wasn't sure if the oven falls within that. Thanks!

  • Registered Users Posts: 742 ✭✭✭jester1980

Hey no the oven isn't included, I believe the first 10 people or so that bought had a few appliances included.

    Hi Guys!

We closed 2 weeks ago and now have our keys. The week we were closing there was a delay with paperwork from the council so maybe this is the same paperwork you guys are waiting for. It only took a couple of days for them to eventually send it through.

That's really helpful thank you. Looks from the four bedroom show house like there's space for a double oven and then the hob, is that what others have put in? We're too late to make changes to the kitchen so will just have to go with what's there.
    Thanks again!

When is your house ready? We were able to make some late changes, we just went straight to kitchen place and begged ha, they let us change the color of the cabinets and also the color of the marble top. Added a few things in as well.

    Kitchen appliances sorted seperately

    Hi

Has anybody received any information about contracts being issued for the Northern side of Rahillion Drive - the latest houses to be given approval by FCC.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Does any one know (or maybe has already done) whether our stairs structure allows to build under stairs storage like pull/push drawers?

No movement for us on the Crescent today as our solicitor is not back in the office until next week. Wondering if anybody else had any luck getting their keys?

Anyone living in Rahillion got an opinion on the "heat to water pump" heating they are using?

Yes. We got our keys last Friday (27th) and have moved in. A few other people also got their keys the same day.

    Hi Guys

Is there anyone else gearing up for the next phase of the Drive due to be finished in Dec/Jan?

Any movement on the contracts from the developer - seems to be going at a snails pace.

    Cheers

    Hi

I think at this stage this phase won't be completed until at least end March 2019. If not a month or 2 more. Was looking forward to moving in earlier, but since the issue of contracts seems to be taking an eternity, have geared ourselves up for a spring (summer?!) 2019 move.

    Cheers

    You're kidding!

We were told Oct for move in originally then it was pushed to Nov/Dec - then Dec/Jan

    This is taking forever

This sounds brutal. we just put a holding deposit down for the next phase launching this week for Rahillion Park. By the sounds of things it'll be Dec 2019 before we move in.

Have you guys that are waiting for contracts on Rahillion Drive sold your current homes or have you postponed? We told the EA we won't be putting ours up for sale until we have a confirmed closing date/month. Sounds like that may be very hard to tie down.

Will be watching this thread with interest - hopefully you guys get sorted ASAP.

We put a deposit down in July 2017. Still not in, don't hold your breath on timelines.

Wow. I am really sorry to hear it's taken that long for you. Honestly, a longer wait suits us due to baby #2 on the way but 18mts (by the sound of things) seems likely. A bit too long but I guess we'll see how things go.

Are you renting or moving house? If moving, have you sold yet? Seems crazy to expect people to sell up and rent without a clear closing date

We are similar, we've had a deposit down since Sept 17 and still haven't even received contracts. When we paid the deposit we were told we'd be in around May 18, then Sept, then Dec, now its looking like April/May 19. Our mortgage approval has now expired, so we'll have to submit everything again.
