Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

My weighing scales show I weight 20kg less than Friday woot !!! :D *

*Cheap yolk I bought from Argos a few years ago and it’s obviously bust. Still I’ll take the result even for just a few seconds

Did that OT test in the local chemist-My metabolic age is younger than my actual age! We won’t mention the BMI

Ours does the same. And a refinement, as he takes outgoing mail from my mail bag if a white cloth is tied to the gate even if no delivery. A lovely man altogether he is!

Same here-Mam often puts letter in door with money for a stamp. Postman never bats an eye!

My grandmother used to tell a story about getting a letter from her daughter in US telling her she was coming to visit. The postman knew the importance of the letter so brought it into the kitchen to hand it over. My gran read the first page & was disappponted there was no date mentioned, 'oh she's coming on the 25th' says the postman....he was reading the 2nd page!

It's the same with several people around here. Postman doesn't mind at all. Great service, over and above what they are expected to do and done for no personal gain.

The arrival of a book, in the post, that I had been trying to source for months and found on Amazon for 53p last Thursday.

The quality and price of used books on Amazon is always a TH for me.

Absolutely! Had coffee and read my book outside this morning, for the first time in ages. The birdsong was heart lifting.

Doing some research on voting in Ireland, because of the audience, I'm focusing on the differences in how men and women were given the vote.

Something strange is happening with our local birds. Over the winter they were whistling away at night, I'd usually hear them at 2am if woken.
Now they seem to quietened down. Unless it way maybe a nest, but it was bizarre there for a while. And very annoying

I was out most of the day with my Karcher washer, cleaning up the yards and paths. Heaps more to do. It's to be a fine week, and it's wonderful to have the health and energy for working.

After working for 17 of the past 18 days in a row and being on call for the other one, I have 2 days off coming up and one of them is completely my own, the thing of a coffee, a book and listening to the birds sing sounds like a good one.

Finally got all my filing done, including getting all of the paperwork about the death of my parents properly sorted and filed away. I'd been dreading that, for obvious reasons, but now it's out of the way. Rest of the apartment is clean as well, so yep, happy :)

Good luck trying to figure me out. I haven't managed that myself yet!
