I missed out on the little sample pack they sent out for tonight. I'll try to watch the launch tonight if the missus lets me!

    Stuck in an entry.
I imagine this will seriously impact the cases of people buying multiple bottles

So.... Bushmills is essentially number one then but with a pretty sticker on it.

    • Jameson are on 8 million cases.
    • Tullamore Dew next on 1.5 million cases.
    • Bushmills & Proper 12 together (4:1) are just over 1.1 million.
    • Then well back are Paddy and Kilbeggan with sales of 185,200 and 133,100 cases respectively.

    From L Mulligans

Spey at home take 2. Thursday 11th June 7:30 p.m.

Powers with Derek King. Friday 19th June 7:30 p.m.

Brand ambassador Derek King will be joining us for an evening of Powers whiskey. Tickets for this are on sale this evening at 7 p.m

Yes, but even if you put the Bushmills sales and Proper 12 sales together, they are outsold 8 to 1 by Jameson?
Jameson sells twice as much Irish whiskey as all the other brands put together, 8 million from a total of 12 million.

Skipped the Powers tasting - already attended a Powers tasting this year with Derek. Would really recommend it, hopefully they will send out some Pot Still Signature Release for ye to appreciate :)

I missed the first speyside with work so I'm looking forward to it. Think it's on Thursday because they have the 2nd Japanese one on the Thursday. Got the Powers one even though I have a bottle of John Lane and Three Swallows as I'm a big fan of the brand so it'll be good to listen to the talk.

I think odyssey06 understands that. The comment still makes no sense.
    Bushmills is 3rd. Proper12 is 4th.
    Combined they are still 3rd.

Notwithstanding, combining them is ridiculous. Proper12 isn't owned by Bushmills. Separate company with separate budgets and marketing. The fact it's made by Bushmills is irrelevant. How many brands are produced by the IDL factory in Midleton?
Most whiskey brands are selling spirit distilled by somebody else, especially those set up only a few years

Regardless of anything else, to get to 200k+ cases in 18 months is a achievement.

    L Mulligans Japanese tasting
    Talk Drams Grace O'Malley tasting
    L Mulligans Speyside tasting
    Teelings 5th Birthday tasting
    L Mulligans Powers tasting

Time to buy the missus another bottle of gin I think.

Series 3 has just been released and it's back to a sherry finish. 11 years in bourbon and then finished for three years in Pedro Ximénez casks at 49.5%. Might try get a sample to compare all three together.

This is they sherry that was in the casks beforehand. Be interesting to try a sample side by side.

There was a load of DC 20's available from Denmark last year too. Theres some fella somehow buying them all up and selling at a huge profit. Its such a shame to see it. There are so many fans and long time supporters of IDL who have lost out to these pricks!

As a fan of Calvados an intrigued how the cask finish will influence the flavour of the whiskey.

Glendalough had a Calvados cask release. Never tried it at the time but read a couple of reviews that said the apple left a bit of a sour finish to it. Be interesting to see how it works in this one.
