Just got an update for my HTC10, over 400mb and includes the camera update. I had to manually check for update, so it may have been there waiting for a while.

EDIT: Update complete and now on software 1.53.771.6. Camera functionality has gone Pro

Same for me. Three HTC 10, I manually checked the updates and just downloaded and installed a ~400MB update. Software is now 1.53.771.6

Saw on XDA that a 1.5xx.etc update is on its way to Europe, US network models have gotten it.

which is mad, because if you read that article which is nearly a month old, it says that the update is on it's way to the US after the Europeans have already gotten it!

now 3 seem to have it.

    But HTC phones don't!!!!!!!

Strange the firmware 1.53.771.6 didn't return any searches in Google

771 would relate to 3 Ireland (or possibly 3 UK).
    6 is revision number.

If you search for 1.53, you should get a lot of hits, as that's the base.

I was contacted over the weekend by a VF rep telling me that I was due an upgrade etc - informed him that I was waiting to see if they were going to add the HTC 10 to their list of phones shortly - he informed me that VF will not be carrying any further HTC phones after the current ones - so the HTC will not b released by them......

Yep, that has been mentioned a lot on this thread already. My contract is just up and I've been waiting for this phone for months now. I've been with Vodafone for 15 years and I'm seriously thinking about moving.

It's very short sighted of them.

Spigen Slim Armor - good fitting case and looks well. Trying to decide if i can live without a screen protector... ill probably end up getting the ice view case when its available as i had a dotview case on my m8 and liked it

I got the same case but in Silver. It's good protection for the phone, although it makes it somewhat bulkier. I have never used screen protectors though as I find them annoying.

Another great thing about this phone compared to my M7 and M8 is that when I use it for SatNav in the car, it actually charges quicker than the battery drains.
With the M8, if I drove for an hour using Google Maps, the battery would go down a few % even if charging. On Monday over an hours drive using Google Maps, the battery started at 83% and was at 100% when I got to my destination.

Would one of these be any use to you - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B01AHKYIRS/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Depending on the cradle/set-up of your car charger, mightn't work.

I have a couple of these on the way. Got a free voucher from my delivery account, so they ended up being free:

Quickcharge is great, it's made a huge difference to my life.

how did you get them free?

Like I said my delivery company gave me a $20 voucher to spend... They're called Shop and Ship. Something like Parcel Motel but for the Middle East

They give me a bunch of addresses around the world... I use free local postage to send the parcels to them and they forward my deliveries to my office in Dubai.

Yes, the same one that cuts off your service for "security reasons" leaving the lovely HTC10 a small tablet.

Got my repaired Samsung S7 back today and thinking of changing to HTC 10 carbon grey.

Just wondering for those of you who have had yours a while, how is the casing holding up against scratches. Specifically the polished chamfered edges. Very easily scratched on the ip 5s, note 4, and even nexus 6p by simply putting a hard case on it.

For some reason when I'm charging my phone the screen keeps coming back on!

The red charging light after few seconds goes off and back on even if screen Is on.

Anyone come across this issue before?

Would it be the cable and USB adapter I'm using? There both Anker by the way.

Ok so I decided to check the other adapter I have as two came in the pack and now it's fine. Seriously I'd never buy another Anker product again I don't understand how they get race review s on amazon!

That's cable and adapter of there's I'm having issues with now. Wonder how long until this one has issues....

I have mine since about a week before the Irish launch and can happily say I have no signs of scratching... And I keep my phone naked

I use Anker adapters and cables, never had a problem. The reason they get such good reviews is that their products generally work really well, and are at a good price. If you have issues, they should replace without any hassle.

I've seen you bring up scratched chamfers loads of times.... it's not an issue that I've ever noticed on any advice I've ever owned, which includes about every Android flagship HTC have released. I don't really use hard cases though, the Spigen thin fit is about the closest I get.

Excellent. One of the other reasons I asked is I saw one in a three store (carbon grey) and the thin part of the chamfer (part closest to the edge of the screen) was not only scratched up but had a few chips of aluminium taken out of it.

Yes, I'm fussy because I went through a bad experience with a Note 4 even though I used the official samsung protective cover and had the phone exactly 2 days. My friend has a Nexus 6P which arrived pre scratched out of the box. So when I see a phone that I like that looks like it might be prone to scratching easily I have to ask before buying. Usually it takes a while before people realise if this is a problem or not. I like to keep my devices in pristine condition as long as possible. I'm pretty sold now on the HTC 10.

    Something about sandwiches

Mine is fine, but a lad I work with has his scratched to bits from general wear and tear. I reckon he must be throwing it in bags and on tables.
Both of us have the grey one.

So I suppose it depends how u use it.
