Is there any word if Brock has been training at all ? or where will he train ,
Fair play to him for having the balls to get in with Hunt after 5 years but how do they get away with making fights like this, like who sanctions a guy who hasn't fought in 5 years to fight a guy in the world top 10 ?

    Been training since Wrestlemania apparently.

He said he's been training since WrestleMania I think.

He's a former UFC champion, of course getting sanctioned isn't an issue.

Would you expect GSP to have that issue if he returns, of course not.
I think they should be given a tune up fight, 5 years is half a decade ago
Anyone know where he is training

In fairness diverticulitis had little to do with his losses, the Overeem one you could argue but his losses are down to the fact he doesn't like to be punched and turns into a panicked childlike beast when he gets cracked on the skull.

    Seriously?

Oh you assumed the derision in my post was at the punched in face comment.

It's not it's claiming that fighting with diverticulitis and getting hit in gut made no difference.

If I remember correctly he used to train out of his own gym on his ranch. Brought guys in to train with him rather than travel anywhere. I imagine he's doing the same this time.

I didnt even say that,i just said diverticulitis didn't look to be the cause of his defeats and the only one you could argue contributed, was the Overeem fight.

Brock came into that fight knowing he was beaten he fought afraid and once Overeem kept him at distance there was always only gonna be one outcome whether kick to the gut or head .

His losses are nothing to do with diverticulitis they are down to the fact he is an amateur Mixed Martial Artist with only a handful of fights under his belt,he is a beast of a man in size and might have been a great wrestler but that is not enough against guys who train in all aspects.

Mark Hunt has fought 50 or 60 times when you count his K1 fights he has fought a whos who in K1 and mma,its no shame for an amateur like Brock to lose to Hunt or Overeem who are seasoned experts, but know what is,and call it like it is,its an amateur taking on seasoned pros and he is gonna get demolished by Hunt.

Reem kick took him out, no guess his illness had an affect. Whether he is good to come back is another question.

What a load of crap. An amateur would never win the UFC title no matter who he fought on the way, and to say diverticulitis didn't play a part in his losses is equally absurd.

i was actually watching that last night. i dunno, like isn't that the spot where he had a chunk of his colon removed 6 months previous? taking a strike to that location has to hurt.

having said that, the guy seems to go into semi panic mode when he's taking a flurry of punches to the head, really bad counter puncher. his whole game is wrestle ****ing you with his freakish upper body strength.

You have no idea if that's true. He says he was in pain during that time which sounds highly likely.

Lesnar has beaten better fighters than Hunt.

He had diverticulitis for his last few fights. But he only had one fight after the operation(where a section of colon was removed). That was the Overeem fight.
Mark Hunt has fought 50 or 60 times when you count his K1 fights he has fought a whos who in K1 and mma,

    That's true.
But if you are counting Hunts kickboxing fights, you should count Lesnars wrestling matches.
    His total is probably 200.

Lesner has one great round in him, his has the speed and wrestling to trouble anyone in the world however if he slows he can be taken out with decent striking. If I was Hunt I would be asking Chuck for sprawling classes, and take him out in the 2nd.

Insert the word Novice in place of Amateur and surely we can both agree he is that, its indisputable that he is a Novice mixed martial artist with just 8 fights under his belt.

He did win the UFC title but at the end of the day he was famous from WWE so he got a title shot with a 1-1 record, and won the title against someone severely undersized for heavyweight.

It looked like it was all about size to me,he was giving away about 40 pounds to Brock in that fight, but Randy had beaten bigger men before i suppose is your point and i accept Brock is freakishly agile and fast for his size,if he was a bit braver and didn't quit so easy i would be more of a fan.

He reminds me of Bobb Sapp to some degree and i would be pretty sure he will quit pretty fast when Hunt lands on him.

Its funny how Mark has changed in their eyes, he had to refuse to be paid off by UFC when they bought pride, they seen nothing in him and finally give him his fights, Now he is their go to man to help save events. Must get my hands on his book.

Juiced to the gills :D sounds about right

This week the UFC announced that Brock Lesnar had been given an exemption from the USADA’s rules on drug testing so he can compete at UFC 200. His forthcoming opponent, Mark Hunt, is not happy, and has accused the former Heavyweight Champion of being “juiced to the gills.”
Mark Hunt is easily one of the most popular fighters in the history of MMA. His laconic manner and simple approach to fighting- “I just knock the bloke out”- echoes with the everyman in the crowd. But despite being regarded as one of the nicest guys in the sport outside the Octagon, he speaks just as plainly as he fights, and he had a few choice words about Brock Lesnar when asked about their forthcoming fight.
The news that Lesnar was set to return to the promotion was a shock announcement at UFC 199. Shortly therafter ‘The Super Samoan’ was named as his opponent, returning to the promotion on a one-off one-fight deal. However, new strict USADA regulations demand that a fighter be tested regularly out of competition four months before a fight.
The UFC announced that, in response to queries on this matter, the former champion had been issued with a waiver. The USADA does allow exemptions from the four month rule, “…in exceptional circumstances or where the strict application of that rule would be manifestly unfair to an Athlete.”
This justification has not gone down at all well with Hunt, however. Speaking with UFC Fight Week on Fox Sports Australia, he gave this damning assessment of the decision and of Lesnar himself:
    “I don’t think that’s fair. I think it’s load of bulls**t, I think it’s rubbish.
“I don’t think anyone should be exempt from testing. If they’re trying to clean the sport up — mixed martial arts — this is a bad way to do it. I don’t care who you are. It’s ridiculous.
“I don’t think it’s a great move. I think he’s juiced to the gills, and I still think I’m going to knock him out. So I don’t think that’s correct. I don’t think he should be allowed to get a four-month exemption otherwise everyone else should. Otherwise I should start juicing.
“How are you going to clean the sport up doing that s**t? It won’t happen. I don’t think it’s fair.”
“I’ve already voiced my opinion to Dana about it but apparently he has been getting tested but he’s probably been off a couple of cycles anyway.
…“He’s a smart guy and I think he’s going to play games for a bit and he’ll be trying to take me down covering his punches. If he wants to charge like a crazy person, come. I’ve got the crazy for you right here.
“He’ll probably be super strong being juiced to the gills but it doesn’t mean anything, man. I’m ready for anything he has.”

I hope to **** Aldo comes back to himself and wrecks Edgar just so him and his manager can cry and moan in the media about McGregor.
