    Thanks for your reply,
I understand how inventory planning works, the point is here they are constantly off the mark with inventory planning for busy flights, it happened all last summer and a smart business would have realised last years mistakes and made alterations to prevent that happening in future, this opportunity has been lost and the same issue is popping up again this year.....Smart may Fly Aer Lingus but Smart certainly isint running Aer Lingus.....

While Alex Cruiz may have been successful at Vueling I personally feel he's not the right man for BA, I'll allow time for him to prove me wrong ! I'm sure the BA accountants will love the extra revenue from pax paying for food and the fuel savings but I feel it's unfortunate the BA brand will become low cost, but if it works great for them!
Getting it wrong is all part of commercial life; the question is whether it's consistently or regularly wrong. As regards BA, it's only short haul economy which needs to adapt to the prevailing business conditions - if 60% of your passengers are benchmarking against FR/U2 etc then you need to adapt.

I got one after every flight, I'm a Gold Circle member if that has something to do with it?

Just to add some weight to my claim.

I'll not continue this "offtopic" topic any further. Thanks guys.

Any sign of the Omni 767 due to start at Shannon? Believe it begins today.

Not the actual Omni aircraft that was due for the summer. Today's EI134 was operated by a subbed in 767-300. Not sure what the delay on the entry into service is.

Can we all keep this thread on topic with regard EI fleet details instead of EI itself. Personally I posted here myself yesterday thinking it was the Gold Circle thread i will move/delete off topic posts soon once I get to a PC. (Am on my hols so not near a desktop)

That's quite poor, considering the service got such bad reviews last year!

Hopefully it will be up and running tomorrow or the next day. It has the EI first class seating and the economy product is much better on it this year.

    Still the -300!

    And on the 10th!
    This is fairly ridiculous.

    It's Deffo this weekend.
A rumour confirmed is 2 more new A330 joining in spring 2017.

Finally, on the 12th, 4 days after it was actually supposed to arrive, the Omni/EI 767-200 is inbound Shannon.

Anyone who's in Shannon between. 6am and 11:40am try and get a picture of it in the livery!

Long awaited by spotters in Dublin. Am I right in thinking that it is already painted in EI livery?
Anyone got any idea if its same as EI fleet interior or similar to EI-EZW and EI-EZV?

Yes, it was painted in Southend I believe in the recent past but positioned back to Madrid afterwards (I think). I could only find one picture at the time when I searched.

EDIT: No idea on the interior, but I sincerely hope they reconfig'd it from the VLG standard.

I've seen here before (I think), but where do you see which ac you'll be on for an upcoming flight? i.e. where do you see which ac is flying a particular route on any given day?

    (tomorrow Dub-LGW 8:20am)

Long Haul is more predicable, there is very little certainty about short haul but it will be an A320.

If your looking for a reg number, you cannot find it online. Sometimes FR24 have it but that's rare for European airlines.

oh I know that, 99% of the time it's an A320, its just that I see some in here possess the power to know what particularly reg'd ac is flying a particular route, i.e. EI-FNJ from Vuelling, what will it's next flight be for EI

It apparently went into service yesterday morning but went tech in LHR and was positioned back this morning.

Yes, it's DVN, and it's only arriving on stand now with an 08:40 departure! (Don't know where I got 08:20 from in my previous post!)

Which it is scheduled to do.

    Nothing unusual about that.

I guess I'm just used to ax always being on stand on the early(er) flights (though I admit this isn't an early flight, I've decided I'm not doing silly 6am flights anymore if I can help it)

Anything in the 0600-0800 departure wave will already be onstand. Anything after that has to wait for stands to become avaiable.
Good example of the current contraints of growth at Dublin. Another runway doesn't give you the ability to push out any faster at peak times if you are short of ramp real estate.

Or for aircraft to arrive from out stations (Heathrow) or to return from their first return flight.

Ideally, doesn't always happen that they're on stand.
Correct the infrastructure is the problem not runway, watch how many EI wide bodies arrive on stand in summer only 1HR before departure due to them being moved to accommodate a United 757,anchor tenant yeah right.

To be fair a second runway would increase throughput and shift aircraft off stand quicker than current. Routinely delayed on stand as ATC won't give push back due number of aircraft already in the queue.

Stand space around T2 is a massive problem, its no fun being bused around to the EI cargo apron. Pier E would seem to be the only solution, but that would only take 8 short haul aircraft

EI have two more A330 on the way so it will only get worse before something is done

Expect the 767 to stay longer than required for the BOS route, due into SNN later on this week.

Could operate out of DUB after.
