We've gotten around things like this before. A little pointer in the right direction!

I have never been one for subtle hints

Well now he's got only 1 facebook page which I find a little strange.

I imagine he forgot his password so set up another account. And then whoever deleted the 1st account, won't know the password to the 2nd. So it will probably stay!

The more recent one has been removed. Loads of the comments under pictures were disappearing off it anyway.. :)

    Of course he was!
The only thing they get on the streets is spat on!

The fact is, this thread is the only thing close to resembling the unbiased truth.
But I'm sure it's modified to suit the rags agenda!

    Usual Irish funeral!

Mick just confirmed on Twitter it's his real boards account obviously not his only one!

Actually, I'd love to know what this media blackout is. I haven't a clue what it even means. The only things we can't write are matters that are sub judice or dedamatory

I know you don't represent all crime journos on the island and it's a bit silly to be having a pop at you.

But I was curious about something: Garreth Hutch skipped bail a few years ago over a case of a cash in transit robbery. He was extradited from Holland last year. There was little or no reporting on what happened in the case following his return. Do you think the media avoided investigating and reporting the story further or was there simply not much in that story?

“Here,” said Calum, “what are you going to write in the paper? They shouldn’t have put the video on Facebook, so they shouldn’t. Who did that?”
Just read this, and the part about the the 11 year old nephew and godson of Gareth Hutch shows how messed up this all is. I know the Gardai are supposedly investigating how that video was leaked but no doubt that will amount to nothing. Nobody should have to witness the video of a close relative being murdered like that on Facebook, least of all a child that young. What happens when the other kids start showing the video at school etc! It's terribly unfair to the family on top of him being murdered.

The shutters come down once someone appeara in front of a judge. You can only report what is said in court. He was acquitted later, so there's not much to do after that if he's not guilty of anything in relation to that. You guys clearly don't need to worry about contempt, defamation, etc. But we do.

Whilst I agree it's tragic, these kids are surrounded by bravado, family mostly.
Not much will phase them now, wait until they are older!

Arrested at the scene (his cousin eventually goes to prison for his part in the same heist), he skips bail, a costly extradition process ensues. He's returned to the jurisdiction and brought to court where he's acquitted.

    Nothing to see here...

Well, that's all grand. But a court acquitted him. That's it, really.

The coverage after Mr Hutch's death just stopped odd mention of 2 people charged with offence that's it this place had more information than our countrys hacks.
I also realise ireland has strict libel laws for print media which in turn affects Irish hacks.

No, it didn't stop after his death, it stopped after the people appeared in court.

The only thing that was mysterious was that his supposed involvement in the robbery wasnt reported at the time. The stuff online about him hours before he died appears to be a coincidence? From what the story now is. A very odd coincidence mind! I also think if those allegations were true, then his co-accused would surely also know, and would have disassociated themselves from him. Which does not appear to be the case? So logic would dictate that the Dutch blog was incorrect!?

    Anyone any thoughts regarding that

I should have come on this thread ages ago. I've been on it for an hour and already I've found several people with in depth, secret, knowledge of the feud - as well as media experts.

I'll have to get the rest of the lads to join.

leave williams at home ... he is a cnut on every level.

    Hiya
what in your opinion would make this feud different than others before,i.e. Drimnagh/Crumlin and the limerick feuds, both of them were very personal with also more than one family member being murdered in some cases.

The size of it?? How many people are involved directly or indirectly with the Kinahans?

The money the Kinahans have access to. They are massive.

Love to know why no media has drawn attention to the fact the kinahans were given round the clocked armed protection when they were at the funeral of Byrne, they had armed security soon as they came through arrivals at Dublin Airport and would be given it again if they come back to Dublin, none of this armed protection is given to the opposite side funny in this fued funny that.
