I can hold my wee for hours if I want to.

I try to hold it but it always runs through my fingers.

Why would you want to be normal in all fairness

In the words of Dr Gregory House; normal's not normal.

I've seen Requiem for a Dream five times
There are nights when I'm struck down by the heebiejeebies.
I sometimes run from the kitchen to my bedroom after turning off the hall light.
Crumbs in bed don't bother me.
Keeping my toothbrush in the bathroom makes me feel uncomfortable so I don't.
For years I could only poo in my own bathroom.
I send my friend recordings of my voice in scary freaky mode.
At times I can be quite clumsy and bruise easily. If they are real humdinger I'll take a photo just because.
I like to save photos of creepy scary ghouls and send them to my friends in the middle of the night.
When it comes to a particular film genre comedy is my least favourite.

Keeping your toothbrush where the poo germs is wierd. Never thought of it before

My family think I'm weird because I'm more interested in car engines than buying dresses.

I buy more dresses than I do look at car engines and thats why people think I am weird too because I like wearing dresses. I don,t really care what they think at this stage. I say do what you want in this life as long as its not harming anyone else.

I like to think for myself which makes me immediately at odds with various groups with specific agendas.

I go to the cinema on my own.

My wife doesn't have the same taste in movies.

This makes me very weird and a loser apparently.

I also go the cinema on my own its the best way to enjoy it and also when its not busy love having the whole cinema to oneself:)

I also walk upstairs to my bed with my lights of I know my house like the back of my hand.

I like to cook all my veg in one pot think its very inefficient to use more than one.
If I use my oven then I will cook all my dinner in the oven and not use the hop or any other method to cook but as the oven is the most inefficient way of cooking and the hardest on electricity I try to use it as little as possible.

I was walking through a university campus recently and overheard some guy explaining to someone else: "I'm different to most people.."

This thread just reminded me of that from some reason...

I don't drink tea or coffee. Trying to tell that to an Irish person, is like telling them they have them you have a terminal illness or something!

I hate coffee its vile vulgar stuff even the smell of it is horrible and when I rule the world I will have it all destroyed and make it illegal to drink it.
I drink the odd cup of tea but can also go ages with not drinking it at all. I don,t see anything odd or weired about an Irish person not drinking tea or that other stuff.

    Peace and long life.

When I was 40, my wife & I were drinking & she anounced to me that 'I scare people' & 'Everyone is scared witless when you appear'.

This was a total bombshell to me as I'd always thought I was a fairly affable soul.

I'm not even big for Chrissake!

Thing is/was is that I never smiled when I spoke to people & apparently that's a bad thing.

Dunno why I did or do that but I'm trying to smile a bit now. Just to blend in & make people feel at ease.

So if any of youse out there meet me in real life, I promise that I've killed nobody yet & I'm an auld pussy cat really.

I might even put an auld smile to take the edge off things.:)

Just been told I'm weird because I have no interest in the soccer or rugby...
I have plenty of other interests but none in the above....
Why have u been called a weirdo....and was is warranted????

If it were 20 years ago you would have been strange but seeing that we are all gone American nowadays it's weird.

I'm a middle-aged woman with Asperger's. I got "weird" right out of the box. :)

When I was growing up, I was weird because of that, and because I preferred classical to other kinds of music, read two books a day, spelled perfectly, had cool grown-up handwriting, used big words, was the only girl on the chess club and quiz team, corrected the teachers in school when they made errors of fact (yes, I was THAT girl), and, oh, a thousand other things.

Now I'm weird because I often prefer the company of animals to that of humans, although people like me and think I'm "nice" in person. Despite being a classically trained musician and despite being not very comfortable in large groups of people, I found my work feet in an international engineering company as a corporate trainer, and then in an international small IT firm as lead tech support. I talk a little too much and too readily and I have opinions about everything. I cry a little too easily. I'm an immigrant American in the rural west of the country.

Not all of my weirdnesses are undesirable. By this age, they've either become prized differences that make me who I am, or tolerable quirkiness that makes me who I am. No bother. :)

I don't drink alcohol and especially in Ireland that's really weird and I get asked many a weird question as to why ;-)

I am considered 'weird' on so many levels.

I like a few drinks, not to get plastered.
I am quiet and don't go on and on and on about my lunch, the weather, how much I had to drink, what I am going to do next etc etc.
I am considered kind, courteous and helpful but that also labels me as weird. Oh, but when I do laugh or make a joke, that challenges peoples conceptions of me so that makes me weird.
I try to do healthy eating, in moderation, that makes me a weird health nut.
I go to the cinema on my own = weird.
I love a glass of wine while watching a film on Netflicks = weird.
I love animals more than people - DEFINITELY weird (don't go around saying it but I might give a few vibes to a few people!).
I love going on Boards and mentioned that I like to = weird.
I hate GAA with an almighty passion = weird as eff, for that one, seemingly

I could go on but thankfully, I have family, friends and a husband who all seem to love me and completely 'get' me.

Those who mind my weirdness don't matter and those that matter to me, don't mind.

Where Im from in rural kerry they consider me weird as I'm not into the holy triumvirate of church, gaa and alcohol. Sure people thought I was gay for having long hair and being into books and music. Its funny how people are suspicious of the ones who read there.
