I do agree and feel reverse racism is widely accepted. Although in terms of the white boys not being fast, white people are at a genetic disposition to black people when it comes to speed.

I'd imagine if you pointed this out (despite it being true) you'd be ripped to shreds by the media for not giving enough credit to black people.

Pretty sure that it is generally accepted at this point. I thought I heard them last olympics mentioning which parts of Africa are better suited to long/short races.
It was even brought up in the indoor cycling thing (I'm an expert me) with respect to white people being better! Obviously I have no idea if that is true or not as I don't know the numbers of different races who take up cycling competitively (and it seems like a sport requiring a lot of money so a lot of third world countries are out). But they said GB put money into because they thought they had a good chance due to this and didn't get ripped apart.

All this just overheard on the commentary.

Tom Brady the 5th most hater NFL player of all time, up there with wife beaters, criminals, dog murders, child abusers, etc.

Suh and Terrell Owens are both above him in that list, I might be forgetting but don't remember either having issues like you mentioned?

Yeah but they are both objectively arseholes. I don't like Brady but it's more of a jealousy of success thing. He cares about winning over money, which is vanishingly rare (easy to do when you have it already I admit), and he doesn't self aggrandise. He has no behavioural red flags (contrast with Manning) It's a remarkable top five though when you consider who isn't in it when those lads are. Also it's a testament to the short memory of fans. The HISTORY of the NFL?

Suh and TO never did anything off the field to my knowledge but Suh is probably the dirtiest on the field player in the NFL with stomping on a player in front of the entire nation on Thanksgiving being his highlight and TO was the ultimate locker-room cancer and me first player. Obvious not as bad as being involved in murder or rape but its at least understandable why they are on the list.

Brady on the other hand is the consummate professional on and off the field. He should be as loved if not more loved than Peyton Manning as Peyton Manning had everything "given" to him (this a gross simplification). Manning was an All American player in college, the no. 1 pick in the draft while Brady was a 6th round pick who had to fight for everything he got and went on to be more successful but Brady is the 5th most hated player in the NFL while everybody universally loved Peyton.

If you don't live in the states its very hard to understand the hate people have for the Patriots and especially BB where this all stems from. I guess it all comes back to Deflategate for me. *99% of the thread readers exit* The NFL and Ted Wells both defended their actions by saying what motivation would they have to stitch up the Golden Boy of the NFL? That attitude is completely disingenuous to the amount of the general public and people within the NFL who want and are more than happy to see the Patriots get railroaded by this.

    Don't forget spygate as well.

IMO Spygate was another scandal that was blown out of proportion by people's hate for the Patriots and BB.

At the end of the day the Patriots taped opponents signals from the wrong location and BB arrogance to ignore the warnings from the NFL...hell BB could decide to sit in the stands on opening day and tape the opponents defensive signals on his iPhone and put the video up on YouTube and no rules would be broken. How it got to members of congress asking for Super Bowls to be overturned is beyond me.

But I agree it does probably play into people's opinions rightly or wrongly as people were only fed hyperbole and didn't full understand what Spygate was actually about without the noise.

The reason I hate the patriots is simply down to some of their fans (the majority i've encountered but obv not all). The arrogance many display is sickening at times. As ATN podcast says "its to sit on the throne of ease". I have nothing but begruding respect for Brady and Bill is a top 5 of all time coach, and prob the no.1 tbh.

And a week ban on OTAs.

In response, the Ravens have released a statement as has Harbaugh: "We made a mistake and we are sorry for that. We accept the NFL discipline." [Ravens]

"It's on me, it's completely me. It was my decision. That's the situation that we're in and we'll adjust and we'll adapt. We'll still become the best football team that we can be." [Harbaugh]

You mean they didn't lose a first round draft pick over it? What about their Quarterback, surely he has been banned for a few games, no?

You remember the way Walter in the Big Lebowski used to bring everything back to Vietnam?

If I don't think the punishment is severe enough then we have a problem?

If I in any way compare it to a punishment handed out to another team/player then everybody here is going to moan? Really?
