Is anyone SIM unlocking these phones yet? Wouldnt mind having mine unlocked coz I'm going to the states in a few months. Would rather a local SIM than paying roaming charges.

Just ordered the Carbon Black directly off HTC website and got a cover and screen protector from Spigen. Spigen says it's shipped already which is good because their website says on pre-order. No email from HTC yet even though ordered a couple of hours ago.

Now to have the iPhone 5 battery replaced and sell it on Adverts!

Colours are the only real turn off for me. The carbon is too dark I think. Id have loved an all silver one like my old M7. White front doesn't do it for me I'm afraid.

Ye i thought the same. Wanted all silver, but went with the black or carbon whatever, and its grand. I think it looks good.

Have my phone rooted and obviously cant install the latest OTA update. Is there a way of getting the update on a rooted s off htc 10?

Just want to be on it before i flash any roms. Cant seem to find anything explaining this online.

Latest ROM's will have the latest software.

If a firmware update comes, then you need to flash it by hooking your phone to PC, or by naming the file to a certain name and flashing in recovery. I don't think firmware flash is required yet, though.

Ive flashed them before on older phones.
The way i seen it mentioned for the roms was that you needed to update before installing the rom obviously read it wrong

I got it that same evening. One of the other guys here got it the following evening.

If it appears in Transit on your PM account today, you should get it tonight.

I used sim-unlock.net when the carrier won't unlock. I find them very reliable, even for iPhones.

Less than a tenner for the code and you will have it within 6 hours or a refund if they can't get one.

Got the Spigen slim case but don't think it offers enough protection as if it fell on the face i'm sure it would pop off. I can also see a tiny scratch at the top of the screen under certain light which is a worry after only having it a couple of weeks.

Other than that I'm delighted with it. I leave it on power saving mode with full brightness and auto bright off. I get two days out of it with normal usage and some gaming thrown in.

I can't seem to get NFC to work. I use the Leap Card top up app. When turn on NFC and put the card to the phone, nothing happens. Worked fine on my M8.
Anyone used NFC yet on there phone?

I had that same case on my M8 for close to 2 years and have the same version for the 10, the case works alot better than you would think.

My old M8 still looks shop new and I've dropped it off the roof of a house and not a scratch, case stayed on fine.

Turns out NFC on my phone works fine but the leapcard app is not compatible, so it won't read my card.
Just as well I have my trusty M7 around to use.

So an update on battery as today would be a typical day for me.
Took phone off charge 11hrs ago at 100%
Turned on powersave mode and upped brightness to Max.
Screen on time has been 2hrs 58mins
After 11hrs battery is at 28%

Am I just a heavy user? Nothing noticeable in terms of apps consuming power.

Leap card isn't compatible with what? The 10, phones in general, marshmallow...? Sounds unusual

Have to say, so far I'm not a fan of the power button on the side. Gets pressed to easy, by accident or if you go for the volume...
.... Even if they went the other side it would have been better. Maybe when I get a cover I might not press it so much.

Very impressed though with the finger print scanner, that works well.

Also when you are using auto type you don't get an automatic space come up. Not sure if you got that before (I turned off autotype on my m7 yonks ago) but it's a nice feature on my iPad

you should have tried the m9, that was a nightmare with the buttons. don't have such a problem with the 10, as the buttons are much stiffer, and the power button is ridged.

you can turn the space on in the keyboard settings, i believe. i reckon most people switch to another keyboard such as google keyboard or swiftkey.
