For anyone who bought from HTC. Did you create an account? I click on that and it just brings me to their home page.

Do you just need to check out as a guest?

I actually thought that I already had an account from buying accessories before, but when you click login, it also just brings you to the homepage !!!!!

I think I had an account, logged in with Google from memory.

Regarding Parcel Motel, it's no problem with them delivering to NI, although it will probably take an extra day to get there. I also extended liability to €1000 for €7.50 or something like that.

I noticed yesterday that I got a 4G+ connection. Never saw this when using the M8. What's the difference between 4G and 4G+.

Didn't know you can buy extra liability with ParcelMotel, thanks for the info!

Newer generation 4G, supposedly faster. When I was on Vodafone, it was 40Mb/s for normal 4G, and about double that for 4G+. With 3 I don't notice any difference, speed is always erratic :pac:

I have had some insane speed with 4G+ Also faster that my home broadband which is pathetic despite being on 100meg

    Thought I was going mad.

Tried again.... still no discount. They also wanted £13.62 for shipping

Checked and checked... tried and tried again. Still no different. Basically the same price as getting it here.

Cleared my temp internet files and tried again. BINGO. Discount working and shipping looks like it's free also.

I seen something on the TV recently about this. Websites are out to get you.

Now I guess I should sign up to Parcel Motel etc before I go any further with my order. Which is the best option? Does any of them still offer a free stay for new customers, I can't seem to find anything.

Also, I see some of you ordering spurious covers. Why not get an official HTC cover? I think it looks good

How much did it cost and how long did it take to arrive ?

Only put the order through this evening so I will tell you when it arrives... I suppose it will be next week at some stage.

£512.99, so I guess by the time it hits my card it will be about €666

Oh yea, it wanted a billing address and shipping address. On the billing I put my own address but you had to leave the country as GB..... same for the shipping address..... even though Belfast is not in GB, I hope parcel motel works ok. though from above people who have ordered, it seems like it will be fine.

I just wonder if you stuck down your own address in Dublin what would have happened ?????

They don't seem to send you a confirmation email either when you order. Unusual.

So anyone order the ICE case from HTC?

Tried and failed to order it from their website. seems like it's out of stock or something

The confirmation email can take between 24 and 48 hours. They'll send an initial one informing the order and another a few hours after with a link to the order portal and a password.

I was looking at this. Anyone got one?

I'm sure it will fit in this. Anyone got one of these? It looks like there is a charger built into it

I would be pretty certain that the windscreen mount will not ship with a type c charger cable.

good call. I forgot the charging was different. I haven't pulled the trigger on that yet, but if I did... I would be pissed. It is listed as an accessory for the HTC 10, so you would expect it to be compatible.

Now I will definitely need a new charger for the car, and this looks the job. I just have a standard lead at the moment and it flies around all over the place... this looks the job!

    Got confirmation email at 9:23
    Shipping confirmation email at 13:22

    HTC on the ball.

EXCEPT...... Their shipping info does not have my PM number on it. I definitely set it up.

Does anyone have experience of times where the PM is not on your item.... what happens?

Same happened to me, if you log into your PM account theres a button that says Shopping Tracker. If you fill out that form someone in PM will stick your PMID on your parcel when they get it up north.

    fair play.

I see the item is only insured for 100, but by doing this it bumps it to 250.
I didn't go for extra insurance... am I mad?

I didn't, but others on the thread have. I've never had a problem with anything from PM in the few years I've been using them.

I see on twitter we will be getting Android N. Anyone know release date of Android N? HTC usually have update rolled out within 90 days of release but I would expect it quicker.

Yeah, HTC are pretty good. It won't be released officially by Google for a good while, so would say it's getting on towards the end of the year before we see it.

Anyone else's screen fade colour just as they turn off the screen? Could I swore it didn't always do that!

One other thing I noticed why does it take such a powerful phone so long to install such small apps?

The m8 and even m9 felt quicker?

After a week using the phone, I would say the battery at best Is the same as the M8.
I have to use power save mode to get a full day out of it.

I'm the exact same. Trying to not charge it unless I really have to.

Yeah, goes black and white just as screen turns off.

Haven't really compared app installing times

Yeah, I would say I'm getting around M8 levels, which is good for me. I can get around 5 hours SOT over a day with everything on auto.

    The M9 was brutal.

@Basil3 : I miss my M8. Even though I have an S7 now, there is something about it I can't put my finger on. Perhaps it's just that it feels so fragile and the M8 was such a great feeling phone with a bit of heft to it. Think I will be ordering the 10 very soon. The excellent headphone audio is what does it for me. The S7 headphone output levels are not good.

What colour did you go for and what case ? I like the carbon grey but this time I think I will get a clear scratch resistant soft tpu case, not hard polycarbonate. It has to be soft tpu to minimise the chance of scratching up the chamfers.

    Maybe this :

    or
    https://www.tech21.com/en_us/evo-check-case-for-htc-10

Both of those do make the phone a little wider than I like but offer good protection so maybe the cheap option. Only concern here is some clear tpu cases aren't a tight fit and let grit in, which can damage the back aluminium of the phone.

I like the carbon grey colour best but I'm afraid that if it gets a few scratches they will be more noticeable than on the silver model.

Not sure I like the white front on the silver compared to black front on silver that's available in the US.

Also I hate putting cases on phones but came across the DBrand skins the other day. Anybody any experience with them? Lots of customization available

Yeah, I dunno with cases. Right now I'm using Spigen Thin Fit, which doesn't add much bulk and allows you to actually feel the buttons. It's nice enough, offers good drip, but I'd prefer it in a darker colour. I also have the Rugged Armor, but that seems to a bit too much bulk.

For years, I only used cheap S-Line TPU cases, and changed them every month or two. I had the Dot View on my M8 which was impractical, and the phone would also pop out when dropped. For my M9, I invested in the active case which was great for using in water when on holiday. I'm hoping something similar comes out for the 10.

If you get any of those cases you linked, let me know what you think. It's hard finding the perfect case :D

I haven't used DBrand, but have used others when I had my M9. They're pretty good. I found mine was going a little bit tatty after a few months, and probably needed to be replaced.
