    Here's Kavanagh;

“We don’t do camps,” he declared. “To be honest with you, I have not talked one word with Gunni about that guy. We’re just training for everything, and then it doesn’t matter. What if I get a phone call on Wednesday, he’s out, and there’s a new guy for Saturday, with three days to go? Do we pull out because everything in that training was about this southpaw and always leads with his left kick and so on? The reality is, you could get someone new, OR the guy you looked at three months ago has changed completely! We almost never have conversations about opponents.”

That's not the same as not doing camps in the way you meant it though is it.

At the end of the day McGregor is coming off a loss do you would assume they want to correct the issues in the prep.

The funny thing is all I'm hearing here is "it's annoying" "it's getting boring" "this isn't genius" etc etc but the truth of the matter is the amount of retweets and news time this story is getting is massive. McGregor knows exactly the sort of response he'd get, and whilst he may be pudding off some people the truth is he'll gain a thousand other followers. People are attracted to drama.

For me, assuming he's very aware of the sort of power he holds in that sense, makes his approach genius... Especially if he gets put on 201 with Diaz and that gets a bigger ppv number than 200 without having to do all the press crap.

I think people hold too much currency in tweets and re-tweets. Twitter do not decide if he makes the 200 card, Dana and Lorenzo do. And by tweeting the two of them saying 'Thanks for getting me back on the card' when they had said nothing of the sort does not speak to me as genius, it speaks of the last sting of a dying wasp who has just seen both 200 and Madison Square Gardens taken away from him in a power struggle.

After the presser Conor had a bit of an upper hand but his last tweet and smack down from Dana has left him with no-where to go, except maybe on holiday with Nate.

As for Lorenzo, I'd say he is fuming in the background. He wakes up to one of his employees tweeting 'thanks for the promotion' when nothing of the sort happened. People don't usually take kindly to having words put in their mouth and thats what Conor did with Lorenzo, the biggest cheese of them all. McGregor needs to stay off Twitter and hire himself some proper PR.

I say all this as a fan of McG, but I don't think he has handled this well with the latest tweet.

Conor will learn from this that he is not at the top table with these guys. Until his contract is up he is an employee.

"we don't do camps" is not the same as not doing camps?

Nobody else find it odd when Dan White proclaimed McGregor would fight the winner of Edgar/Aldo next in that presser the other night, he sounded very precise .....how could he say that with such assertion without some agreement

tho it could be said if he wants to keep hold of that belt he simply will have to...

Not that I want to fan the flames much further of endless speculation, but did Conor return to Dublin with the rest? Haven't seen anything further on this? John kavanagh mentioned getting 'separated yesterday insinuating he went somewhere else.

With a press conference in New York tomorrow, maybe?

Looks like Jon Jones might miss UFC 200 due to injury!

Those medical check ups after a fight will send you for a full assessment if theres any hint of possible damage.

I wonder are Dana and the Fertitta's laughing at the contract Conor signed the way Conor was laughing at all the other fighters contracts? Not being able to fully cash in on his brand must be eating him up.

At this point I think there's a better chance of me winning the lotto than there is of McGregor being in UFC 200. No sense deluding ourselves folks. I love Conor as much as the next frothy-mouthed fanboy but we're not getting this fight, it's time to face reality.

What the hell is Meisha on about here?

    http://www.mmafighting.com/2016/4/26/11506588/morning-report-miesha-tate-had-to-pick-up-the-pieces-when-conor

"And we're three months out from the fight you know. It's not unreasonable to ask to come in here for a day and give some promotion. This does huge things for the fight. They filmed the commercial the other day. and we actually ended up having to pick up the pieces of Conor not being there. We had to film more. I had to actually come back and push my training schedule to the side and scoot my stuff around to be able to accommodate the fact that Conor wasn't there and fill up those voids."

Yes honey, welcome to the party and having to carry the promotion can a bit more. Exactly the point Conor was making.

No more sitting in the back row of the conference, laughing at Conor's antics. Now it's your turn to dance for Dana and sing for your supper.

This thread really brings out some strange stuff from people.

"People say ‘go with the flow’ but do you know what goes with the flow? Dead fish."

Whats the likelihood if Conor not getting a ppv % in his next fight wherever that may be?. I feel hes been outmaneuvered by the big corp here and feel they could up the stakes.
I do think they will accept nothing less than a defence of the belt next fight and i dont think Conor will be mad for that.

    He'll 100% still get a PPV cut.

Likelihood is zero...........Looks like there might be an announcement today about the replacement headliner today. GSP all the way. Would be delighted with that...Or Rockhold v Weidman moved maybe.

He'd likely refuse to fight if they tried to take his PPV cut away from him. They're trying to put him in his place, not push him out of UFC entirely.

GSP certainly won't be the main, nor will they move Rockhold/Weidman. It's gonna be DC/Jones 2.

I'd say there's a bit of a sweat over the scans at the moment, but I'm sure they'll be cleared to fight. Would explain the delay in announcing it, as they'd want to be sure rather than looking even more silly if it fell through.

The animosity between Jones and DC should appeal to the casual fans like me too, so it's about as good a replacement headliner as they could get I'd imagine.

I'm expecting another awkward press conference tonight if they can't announce this as the main event. Do they let the normal Joe public into these conferences typically? I'd say a couple of Irish living over there would like to crash it and make their voices heard.

Maybe the UFC will be employing more crowd control than a Trump rally.

I'd question that after Jones needing an xray. Jackson isn't usually one for taking risks. I would have thought the only chance Jones would fight at 200 would be if he came out completely unscathed but I might be wrong.

Yup, Jones is on Good Morning America, most likely make the announcement there before tickets go on sale.

Neither fighter has been medically cleared but they both are saying they will be healthy.

Also GSP would be subject to testing for a 4 month period by USADA before he is allowed to fight, not sure where he currently stands in all that as his contract was frozen. I would imagine unless he is in contract USADA wouldnt be testing him so one needs to happen before the other id guess. The fight will most likely be Jones vs DC2 but DC has a 2 week wait on his MRI results and Jones is getting xrays so that could all easily be off in a few weeks.

He said on twitter he's fine. Conor got the same thing after Aldo, supposed broken hand and 6 month suspension but he was cleared to fight RDA within a week.

It was a potential 6 month ban depending on the X-ray, but Jones said he's all good
