Hmm, their VPS and dedicated servers cost more or less the same as where I am at the moment(the shared hosting isn't an option for me).
Anyway, I think we've bored people enough with this server talk.

    So, back to retro.
I posted a "Wanted" add in the marketplace. I'm looking for an original or repro Donkey Kong cab. So if anyone has one and wants to move it one, you know what to do :)

...I may have just ordered a VPS for myself.

Totally not planning to install my own tunneling software on it or anything...

    ...aherm.

Looking for a balltop to fit the SNES Super Advantage. I'm not sure on the details of compatibility but a quick google search seems to indicate a LB-35 ball would fit it. Where do people usually buy pieces like that? Any places in Ireland?

Its the standard size balltop for arcade machines so you'll have a load of options for sellers.

Just avoid Arcadeshop.de as people are not receiving their orders lately with no communication.

This seller has a grey one in stock:

Packing up a retro games and consoles collection is a gods damn pain in the ass.
10 boxes(610x610x610mm) and 46 euro worth of bubble wrap and it looks like I haven't even started :(

On the plus side, I found a box with about 200 C64 games in it I forgot about :)

    Parcel Motel woes anyone?
Still waiting for Dark Souls 3 to turn up despite it being posted on Thursday, first class.
Should have had it over the weekend, at the latest today, no sign at all.
Without a tracking number PM won't check it out any further.

Yeah that annoys me, they notify you when it reaches the Dublin depot, I'd prefer if i found out when it reached the Northern Ireland depot first.

I was "reassured" by the customer service agent that the games wasn't out until Tuesday anyway and not to worry.
None of his business really when it's out, or what the contents of my parcel is, only that it was sent first class so they should of had it either on Saturday or today.

Anyone buy from Yahoo Japan auctions?

What proxy service have you used, all new to me and trying to wrap my head around it.
I did try Buyee but it wouldn't let me bid on a particular seller for some reason so they're out.

Looking to buy a few bits. mostly small and light stuff.

    Thanks

Some sellers block /won't let proxies bid,has happened to me a bit, buyee ,rinka and shopping mall Japan are all good .just make sure you tot up all the extra fees before you bid. Normally comes in about double what you bid but sometimes more .low value items.
Prices and competition these days is worse than eBay at times.

Another email from Parcel Motel, unless I have proof of delivery the person I am corresponding with won't even ask for them to watch out for it.
Apparently, with proof of delivery they become liable up to €100 and will search for items as a result.
With no proof there is no financial burden so they don't bother, and say screw you to the customer, which is me.
This means that my copy of Dark Souls 3 is sitting in a pile somewhere, for some reason it didn't get caught by their automated system, and they won't have a look for it for me.
    So, no game for me.
I sent a strongly worded email, but I don't know if this will antagonise them instead, but they weren't going to look for it anyway.
The Game Collection emailed me, confirming the address and the date of posting, so I've no reason to believe it didn't arrive.
    Very annoyed right now...... w@nkers....
