I thought shipping to a UK address might be a bit quicker?

I selected basic free shipping and received my handset in 3 days. It was super quick.

Lads, is there a way I can put the pure android version on this, like what's on the Nexus devices. I'm running the Google now launcher, which looks like it, but it's a bit laggy. Got a refurbished Nexus 5 a while back and it was silky smooth and I realised I missed it. I know there's a load of other ROMs I can put on it, but I'd be happy with the basic vanilla android so to speak. There's so many of them it's bewildering. I could head over to XDA, but I'd like your input. Anyone?

Has anybody noticed their device freezing and just lagging really bad lately? My OP2 has gotten insufferable over the last week, constant lag and freezing which requires a hard reset. I've had the phone for a few months and never encountered any issues until now.

what software version are you guys running? I haven't upgraded to 2.2.1 yet but my phone is running perfect

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,889 ✭✭✭donspeekinglesh

It happened me a lot on 2.2.0, but since I've upgraded the lag isn't as bad, and it's only frozen once so far.

The freezing doesn't usually need a hard restart - it'll unfreeze after about ten minutes.

So after a delay because of St.Patricks day, my phone arrived this evening. Initial reaction is very positive. I find the touch isn't as responsive as my old Z3 though? Probably just me getting used to the screen size.

I see there is a Oneplus 3 due out soon. Wait for that or buy the Oneplus 2?

    Nexus 5X you mean?

I've thought alot about the 5X and still my 2 wins out, 64GB of storage is a must for me, and I'm running CM13 now so no more oxygen which has to many small niggly annoyances. I realise the custom rom route isn't for everybody.

Sorry ye the Nexus 5. Ye I think the 64g would sway my decision also. Cheers for the feedback.

How are you finding CM13? Anything missing? I'm still running rooted stock, and I think this is the longest I've ever had a phone without putting CM on it, even ran it in the days of my HTC Hero.

Aye I'm torn about whether to start bolloxing about with this phone for the sake of Marshmallow. The primary reason I've rooted phones in the past has been a combination of boredom and usually trying to remove bloatware which the OP doesn't have.

Nothing missing its absolutely class. I mentioned 9th March build a few days ago on the thread but iv updated to 20th a few days ago and its the best yet, battery is fantastic.

Looking dodgy for keeping their promise of marshmallow before April. Are these guys awful spoofers or what? Been meaning to change to cm, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

They also said they would have marshmallow on the OPO by end of Q1. This was 5 months ago or so. I posted in that thread at the time that they would miss that deadline, and I think I will be right.

Can I just download the ZIP directly to my phone rather than using a laptop and then transferring it over?

Never mind, it's one of the questions asked in the comments section and they say it's no issue. Running the update now.

It only took about 5 minutes do DL on wifi directly to my phone.

What did you do after downloading the update directly to the phone? Follow the same process of turning phone off etc?

I am bored in work but don't have my laptop with me to download it to there first.
