Official announcement and video. Looks like the second Skellig Michael shoot from a few months back. If this film literally picks up from where the last one left off it will be the shortest ever narrative gap between episodes to date.

    Plus, Laura Dern???

Rey: Luke.....I wish to learn the ways of the force.

Luke: But I was going to Tosche station to pick up some power converters! :(

latest i've read is Snoke and Ren are aware of Reys lineage and either as Lukes daughter or Leia's by one of those 'force' conceptions, Snoke might actually be a version of Plageus and he's been using young gifted Force users, like Rey and Rey, to leech off to keep him alive..as Han&Leia both know as Han says to him.

    or..

Laura Dern has been cast (oh god why..WHHYY??)and she's Rey's mother, either alive and Rey goes with Luke to find her, or dead, and just appears in a flashback.

So Chewie is tweeting screenshots of original script for a few days leading up to a "Big Announcement"...

Could it be his retirement? As we know he was due to return to his role for VIII even in a limited capacity? Having said that, he did say he was very tired during the promotional part.

There's no way thats really from the film. Theyd never let a set be seen this early.

    Its a public street.

We knew about Skellig long in advance and anyone could have gone and seen it.

Daisy speaking to MTV at the Oscars about VII
Daisy Ridley has some bad news for you, Star Wars fans. Episode VIII is not just two hours of her and Mark Hamill staring at each other. It’s a damn travesty, we know. We can feel your disappointment all the way over here.

Don’t be too bummed, though. Ridley and Hamill still have plenty to do in Star Wars: Episode VIII as Rey and Luke Skywalker — and she’s really excited about it. (Is she excited because she gets to start her Jedi training?!)

“Me and Mark have been rehearsing a lot, and it’s really amazing,” Ridley told MTV News on the Oscars red carpet Sunday (February 28). “When we went back to Skellig to do the opening of [Episode] VIII, it was so crazy doing the same scene with a different crew of people. He’s amazing to rehearse with, and I’m very excited to be doing the rest of the stuff.”

“It’s such a good story,” Ridley added. “Seriously. Luke is so cool in this one. Really.”

    What's that so?

The title will not be known this early from people on the street.

Thought we were calling it the Wrath of the Spacebear?

Apparently there's already a 'Wrath of the Spacebear' so it had to be changed.

Not Skellig – Ceann Sibéal, which has been known for a while. It's standing in for Skellig due to the problems shooting there.

Episode 8 is coming to film in Ireland bit in an even more dramatically beautiful spot.

Let's hope this Donegal shoot comes off, would be amazing for this part of the country.

It's certainly fits the bill in terms of rugged beauty.
