These fights rarely start on time so I am hoping if I open my eyes about 4.30 I should catch the Holm fight?

It's a bit like saying Suarez wasn't racist because he was just trash talking.

It's no defence to racism. None.

I'd go for a pint with mcgregor over you any day, serious much??

What "racist" thing was said as a matter of interest?

He said in a different time he would invade Aldo's favela on horseback and kill anyone not fit enough to work.

It was about as racist as one could get because it directly referenced the subjugation of South Americans at the hands of colonial powers.

He has done it before other fights, he called one fighter a Nazi because he was German. That's not racist mind you, merely disgraceful.

McGregor wouldn't be as big as he his now without the trash talk. Rest assured he doesn't talk like this to friends and family. More fool anyone for taking it seriously. He's in the entertainment business and has to entertain which he does quite well.

    Best of luck to him.

    Oh he's big?

Sorry, sure that makes his racism grand so.

I think Suarez made the same point, that he's very successful so his racism is grand? Actually sorry, he didn't, because it's a nonsense argument.

Will you be at this for the night? Because it's going to be a very dull fight thread if you're popping in with the racism card every other post!

I really think you need to look up the definition of racism.

Suarez never made that point..his arguement was that the convo was in spanish and the word is not the same in that culture..plus there was zero proof he even said it..one man vs another mans say so

Did he say anything racist this time or was he told to cut it out.

It's extremely ugly to see an Irish sports star be so blatantly racist. His comment about white men entering favelas and enslaving South Americans before his last fight was appalling.

    Called Nate a cholo.

He said this in Brazil, in front of a Brazilian crowd.

    Lunatic.

It is racism at its purest. It's not like he was referring to his national identity and that time Ireland colonised Brazil...

He also called Dennis Siver a Nazi, coz y'know; he's half-German

There's a difference between trash talk and being an ignorant prat that who doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut.

Words are just words though in any case. Not really a big issue as far as I care

Hitting out at Diaz like he did the other night though is nothing but pure skanger behavior.

For all the talk people do about him 'putting asses on seats' he could easily have caused an injury which led to the fight being called off.

The SJWs are out in force tonight

I think he might lose. Diaz is durable, and a good striker, not bad at submissions either. However if Mcgregor's power carries up the weights he just might be able to finish it. I don't particularly like McGregor's antics, he has gone too far at times, but then Ali did the same, and the revisionists gloss over this. Having said all that i admire his single mindedness and dedication to get here- i'm sure he had lots of people telling him not to be an idiot and stick with the plumbing job - and would like to see him become a two weight UFC champion.

No class, no manners and no shame. It's sad to see the Tricolour wrapped around his shoulders in front of a global audience.

No doubt his followers will do our pathetic reputation as drunken louts no favours with their behaviour in Las Vegas.

Yeah he's a huge racist, way to overthink it.

You have no idea what he does obviously.

He's shown a lot of class and manners and has done far more for the Country than you ever will.
