Have a great race Sunday AM!
It's been great following your training so far which seems to be going seamlessly well of late. You really deserve to have a fantastic race, so just relax and enjoy, and it'll all go to plan!

I hope so, I'll be writing TTT on my right hand* as a reminder to Trust The Training ;)

Very good choice of race. You've done some great training there and you'll be very strong from it. If you concentrate on correct pacing early, then the middle of the race will take care of itself. Those parkruns after long runs will kick in in the closing stages. Best of luck with it!

thanks demfad, yes you're right, I need to get the pacing right from the start.

    Thursday 4th Feb 3 miles @ 11:32 avg hr 123

wanted to keep this at v low HR (under 125) as have been staving off a cold the last few days, finally located the inhaler which I actually haven’t needed up to this, took it and noticed an improvement in the slight wheeze in my chest.

    Friday 5th Feb 3.3 miles @ 10:33 incl 4 x 100m strides

Might as well get used to the rain, looks like its down for the weekend :) actually enjoyed this, forgot the HRM though but it felt nice & easy, I didn’t do the strides at full tilt & one direction was right into the gale force wind :D

as a little reminder to myself to TTT, my weekly mileage since December has been

    27.2
    34.6
    39.1
    44.3
    28.5
    43.1
    43.4
    48.1
    37.2
    23 (this week so far)

    Total 368.50 including 2 x 18 mile runs, 1 x 20 mile run and 8 x sessions

Just as well you explained what that meant. I thought TTT was something to do with tales from the tub!
Best of luck in the race. You deserve to do well with all that training.

:D I'd forgotten about those!! That'll make me laugh now, hopefully just as a cameraman jumps out from behind a hedge as I normally look like I'm ready to kill someone mid race :p

Suppose I better say something nice to before Sunday. The past couple of months you've been a massive support even with your own issues going on. You never once failed to offer me words of encouragement when I felt things were getting tough. Wishing you your BEST race EVER Sunday AM, you most certainly deserve it.

I was going to say something sarcastic about manflu and delirium but I wont.. thanks Barry :) right back at ya, if someone could just sort the weather now we'd be laughing all the way to the finish line.
