People have highlighted Walts roster and the low draw he got but Bruno not going till no.12 in the pre70s round esp when some pre 70s round guys like Piper were already gone in Rd2 is a real steal.

Just to clarify the stip for the next round. I have a list of 20 enhancement talent (don't wanna call em all Jobbers but...) and once you pick you stick up a number between 1-20 and I then give you whoever that corresponds to on my list.

For example for my pick I decide to draft Bobby Heenan (obv already drafted) and say i'll take #3 for my bonus guy only to find out that I got Julio Fantastico (just a name of a jobber I remember from heat or some similar show (he is not on the list, they are more memorable but I dunno if anyone would pick 95% of them).

I'll send Liz (think she was first in the draw) the full list after giving her her bonus pick so that there is full transparency and im not just assigning whoever I want to whoever I want to .

Haha of course the round where I'm not actually picking someone gives me my highest draw :P Anyway I love the stip

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 23,103 Mod ✭✭✭✭Bounty Hunter

    You do get to pick.

The number you pick is for a bonus "Enhancement talent" wrestler on top of whoever you pick.

Will make writing shows a little bit easier if you have someone to do a job when necessary.

I wont be picking a bonus number though and will just take whoever is left from the list at the end as obviously I know who is what number on the list

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,804 ✭✭✭A Brad Maddox Guy

Ahh ok I must have misread & thought the number was our pick. Grand that's even better

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,025 ✭✭✭✭beakerjoe

A number un-restrictive stip, will there be a list of bonus picks before hand to see eho is potentiality up gor grabs?

So we make a pick as normal and pick a number too is that it ? Also delighted with my latest pick can't believe they lasted so long

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 23,103 Mod ✭✭✭✭Bounty Hunter

Yep you got it Brian, you pick and then also pick a number and that number will decide which bonus guy you get.

Don't think I'll put up a list of who might go so there will be more of a surprise but tbh there are not going to be any big names anyway at most maybe one guy people may have considered as a last round pick is in the group imo and even then you could always swap for that person if you really want em.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,430 ✭✭✭ShagNastii

Do you think there is any chance of somebody missing out on somebody because of the stip.

Basically, are there any diamond covered turds gonna be rewarded or do you just get a regular turd for our number :D

Edit: only after reading the above post.

If I wrote more for some, sorry this took a long time and i prob wrote less as I went on but seeing others feedback wanted to return the favor.

    ----

Lord TSC: Dean Ambrose & Solomon Crowe, Umaga, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Rey Mysterio, The Great Muta, Jeff Jarrett, Lucha Dragons, Asuka, AJ Lee & Kaitlyn

Everyone is talking about the potential of Ambrose vs SCSA but I think you may have a surprise in mind for us, at the very least if you do go with those two it'll be interesting to see who is the heel and who is the face. Mix those two, people like Umaga & Jarrett and then Mysterio & The Luchas means you do have a great mix especially when you take the women into account where you have argueably the best of recent years. Big potential here.
Finn Balor, Nick Bockwinkel & Ray Stevens, Edge , Stan Hansen, Ted Dibiase & IRS, Vader, Ryback & Curtis Axel, James Storm, Tomohiro Ishii

Your writing is always top notch. Even if your roster isn't the best your a favourite but this time you do actually have a very strong roster with plenty of options in the main event. I'm hoping Balor gets your "Dynamite King push" as i'd love to see what you could do with Finn if you get behind him. I think Dibiase & Vader were great value when you got em and both could have a huge impact too but damn I haven't even mentioned Edge or Bockwinkle who you usually write pretty well. Your a 3 time champ and always one of the main favourites, this time will be no different and in my opinion if you don't win it means someone else is a deserved champion

Bounty Hunter: Brock Lesnar, Killer Kowalski & Gorilla Monsoon, Daniel Bryan, Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard, Chris Benoit (Trade), Ken Shamrock & Steve Blackman, American Alpha, Double Kong, Bobby Heenan

I think I've maybe had better rosters once or twice but dunno if I've had rosters that mixed as well and with an overall big plan like I do now although that will probably come more light after this next round.

SlickRic: Samoa Joe, Misawa, HHH, Bam Bam Bigelow, the Road Warriors, Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards, Bruiser Brody, Magnum TA, Bruno Sammartino[/QUOTE]

I always liked your rosters in the past and with HHH you always have plenty of storyline option. Misawa vs Joe would be one hell of a physical bout and HHH vs Bruno would be huge too but who knows if youd even go that route with your top feuds. One big plus for your roster is is a very strong tag feud, plus Brody & Magnum TA give you options for the undercard so no doubt you will produce something good. Darkhorse atm for me.

A Brad Maddox Guy: Kazuchika Okada, Brian Pillman, Batista, RVD, Kota Ibushi & Kenny Omega, The Miz, Damien Sandow & Titus O'Neil, Chris Sabin, Time Splitters - Alex Shelley and Kushida

Dunno quite what to expect with this roster but there are a lot of possibilities which I like. I think Batista could be great to write for and Pillman has been proven to be a great character in the past. Add to them the talented undercard guys you have and your another dark horse. Interested to see what you do with MCMGs / TimeSplitters atm and if Ibushi & omega team or have a singles push in your fed.
LeeJM: AJ Styles, Steve Williams, Chris Jericho(Trade), Jerry Lawler (Trade), Sabu & Tazz, Matt Sydal and Riochet, James Mitchell, Diamond Dallas Page, Barry Windham

I really dont know what to expect from your promotion. Some great talent with AJ being a real standout. Him vs a prime Jericho could be gold but then again when we consider our wrestlers are in their prime Lawler is often really underated. I had him last year and he can be a great guy to write for and with your roster the writing will be key cos pushed correctly and the ECW guys for example could be main event stars.

Beakerjoe: Chris Hero & Cesaro, Ric Flair, Shinuke Nakamura, Young Bucks, Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch, Kerry Von Erich (Texas Tornado), Ethan Carter III, Emma and Bayley

At first glance maybe your roster doesn't seem like a potential champ but I think thats only cos Hero is the first name (not that hes bad) look a littler further and damn there is some potential. I love Cesaro and think him vs anyone has great potential although him & Hero vs The Bucks could be a way to go...That said I find it hard to look past Flair vs Nakamura as a real top feud in the draft. Your womens division could rival any other (although this year there are 2/3 really good ones) too.

Thebostoncrab: Kurt Angle, Rick Rude, Kenta & Kenta Kobashi, Bully Ray, Scott Steiner, Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows, Low Ki and THE Brian Kendrick, Bobby Roode, Colt Cabana

Think your Rude trade might actually kick things up a notch for your roster any 2 of the person you get plus Angle and Kobashi or even a triple threat could be incredible. Bully Ray & Steiner give you the option for tag teams later and if you went that way along with Anderson and Gallows youd have a stacked tag division and if not some serious talent for singles matches. Maybe it's sizest lumping them all togetherbut I could also see some mix of KENTA, Low Ki and Kendrick being great meanwhile Cabana could def carry a great under card feud (comidic or otherwise) so its a very strong roster all round and I'd have to consider it a contender atm.
PTH2009: Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn, Big Bossman, Sheamus, Rocco Rock & Johnny Grunge, Rhyno, JBL, Neville, Bobby Lashley, Ron Simmons

OWens is a great early pick imo as he could go up against anyone. I'd love to read him vs Sheamus or vs JBL in particular (onviously you could go the Zayn route too) as they would tear lumps outta each other. Obviously though JBL could be in the APA and if so there is a feud waitning vs Public Enemy. I had them and Lashley on different years and actually think they are a very underated picks.

Paulie21: John Cena, Lou Thesz, Mick Foley, Mr Kennedy, Honkey Tonk Man & Greg Valentine, Kevin Nash aka Diesel, Sgt. Slaughter, The Bella Twins, Terry Funk

loads of options here especially with John Cena on board. He makes writing big angles in this day and age much easier cos he is the main man in wrestling. Vs Funk, Foley or Thesz would all be gold imo and whomever doesent get chosen could have feuds vs people like Nash or Anderson who are great on the Mic, meanwhile youve got big characters like Honkey or Sarge rounding out a roster that could surprise a lot of people.
BrianRegan09: Hiroshi Tanahashi, Mr Perfect, Goldberg, Raven & Perry Saturn, Paul Heyman, Christopher Daniels & Frank Kazarian (Suicide), Apollo Crews, James Gibson(Jamie Noble)

I have a feeling Raven will actually play a bg role here and def think getting Heyman was an inspired move. Tanahashi vs Perfect is what i'd love to see but as said maybe Raven will get a main event push but that could be vs Goldberg. Either way im intregued as I am by what you might do with Crews or if you will actually use Kaz as Suicide like your pick suggested. I;d have him tag with Daniels but you have me v curious and thats a good sign.

JP Liz: Roman Reigns, Owen Hart & Davey Boy Smith, Dolph Ziggler, Christian, Tyson Kidd & David Hart Smith, Drew Galloway and Wade Barrett, Nigel McGuinness, Natalya & Beth Phoenix

The interconnectivity of this roster is great and personally I think if you find the right main event angle which maybe could be the right Reigns angle then you could be a contender. I know i'd love to book your roster as well as my own anyway cos I see a lot of potential for great storylines.

Cheese Wagstaff: Seth Rollins, Sean O' Haire, Ricky Dragon Steamboat, Shelton Benjamin & MVP, Mercury & Morrison, Jay Lethal & Xavier Woods, Mark Henry, Tatsumi Fujinami

Selfishly I'd like to see you and Stereo trade Woods for someone as Lethal has proved capable on his own and then all of New Day could be together butoutside that its har to look past Rollins vs Steamboat... you wouldn't dare turn Steamboat heel would you! Some great tag team options here and I'm Very interested to see what you will do with O'Haire too as you took him over some other bigger names in that round

Stereomaniac: Kofi Kingston & Big E, Yokozuna, Bret Hart, The Big Show, Iron shiek, Charlotte, Dash & Dawson, Paige & Sweet Saraya, Mil Mascaras

I'm very curious who Bret will face assuming he is in your main event. Do that right and your roster could be great as the Sheik / New Day should be able to provide some gold in their storylines meanwhile people like Yooko imo have yet to be used to their full potential in the draft.
Shagnastii: Sting, Ultimate Warrior, Hulk Hogan, Vince McMahon, Jesse Ventura, Demolition (Ax & Smash), Santino & Carlito, Val Venis

A genuine contender for the title here cos I know you can write and cos you have material for days with Sting, Warrior, Hogan, Ventura (had such fun with him last year) and Vince all together and in then fun undercard characters like Santino, Carlito and Val and this should be great to read esp as you have Demolition too who I am very curious to see who it is you have face them.

Mrkiscool: The Undertaker, Fabulous Moolah, Jake The Snake Roberts, Sandman, Trish Stratus and Lita, Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish, The Vaudevillains, Zack Sabre Jr, Harley Race

This is one of those rosters I mentioned with a top womens divison, argueably the best. Youve got big names who are great to write fro like Taker, Jake and Race too plus a character like Sandman who could really make a big angle if written well. Zack Sabre could be an inspired choice depending on who you pair him with too and honestly I dont know what to make of your roster, the writings key obviously get it write and we could have another contender here

ImnottheHulk: Bray Wyatt, Dusty Rhodes, Booker T (trade), Dan Spivey (chosen as part of a tag team), Goldust & Stardust, Eric Rowan and Luke Harper, The Ascension : Konnor and Viktor, Nikitta Koloff, Bob Backlund, Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady

With your roster im mostly curious to see what picks you make outside of your main angle which def has the makings of one of the biggest in the draft. Who will Backlund face for example. I found him hard to write for before but he is a huge star and could end up being a bargain draft considering how late you picked him up.

Uncle Walt: CM Punk(Trade), Randy Savage, HBK, Dynamite Kid, William Regal & Lance Storm, The Great Sasuke and Jushin Liger, Dean Malenko, Michael Hayes, Terry Gordy (Trade) & Buddy Roberts - The Fabulous Freebirds

sh!t roster mate.... seriously though HBK, Punk and Savage (among others) together! I'd say fix except im running the draft and you somehoe did this without the best of draws. No matter what youll be a contender and if your writing matches your drafting we may have a new winner

DM_7: Randy Orton, Eddie Guerrero, Roddy Piper (trade), Alberto Del Rio, Mark & Jay the Briscoes, Austin Aries, Shane McMahon, Rusev, Pentagon Jr

The fact that 2 people traded Piper amazes me and that you were able to get both Piper and Eddie (iirc) in trades is great work by you imo. There is no weakness in this roster and a lot of colorful characters who could work well with a good push, Rusev for example. Having Shane O Mac should really help for storylines too so I can't wait to see what you come up with
Necrominus: Kane, Scott Hall(Trade), The Rock, Jeff Hardy, New Age Outlaws: Road Dogg & Billy Gunn, Muhammad Hassan, Test & Albert, X-Pac, Andre The Giant

Everyone has referenced the Attitude Era about your roster and tbh its hard not to and well everyone loves the AE dont they? throw Andre into the mix too and youll have most people wanting to see what your doing. It's a roster full of great characters and Mic workers too so I look forward to seing what you do with folke like Hall, The Rock and Hassan.

Ok nothing really bad to say but there is huges potential in pretty much every roster and with the right writing we could get some awesome stories

I have found a "sensational" manager for Reigns

Two or three picks in mind, so I'll be getting someone/some people who'll be a good addition. The only problem is figuring out a cohesive storyline for them once I get him/her/them. So many ideas running around!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,025 ✭✭✭✭beakerjoe

I had a list of 9 starting this round and surprised that I had 5 to pick from when it made it to me. I had a hard decision, but went with Lugar. Have a nice angle/feud for him lined up.

Great pick in Sherri, while not on my list for this round, she was on my list down the road and sad to see her go so soon.

Pairing her with Roman could be a master stroke by Liz

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 677 ✭✭✭Cheese Wagstaff

Pick up, very happy as I think he could be a lot of fun to write for. With a bit of luck I may get another of the ones I had in mind due to my reasonably early pick next round!

Also, how many rounds are there in total???

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,804 ✭✭✭A Brad Maddox Guy

Gutted Sid is gone, never expected him to last so long but I got my hopes raised with the early draw next round.

There's usually 15 rounds Cheese, though there was a bonus 16th last year.

    Some thoughts on everybodys rosters thus far ;

Lord TSC: Dean Ambrose & Solomon Crowe, Umaga, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Rey Mysterio, The Great Muta, Jeff Jarrett, Lucha Dragons, Asuka, AJ Lee & Kaitlyn

Everyone is talking about Austin v Ambrose but I think we might see Ambrose v Umaga and Rey v Austin. What a double main event that is! Muta Jarrett and the LD along with AJ v Asuka make for a pretty stacked card.
Mr.Nice Guy: Finn Balor, Nick Bockwinkel & Ray Stevens, Edge , Stan Hansen, Ted Dibiase & IRS, Vader, Ryback & Curtis Axel, James Storm, Tomohiro Ishii

Finn v Vader is a dream match! Finn v Edge would reek of awesomeness! The Lariat is a threat to anyone, Dibiase is criminally underated by some. RybAxel is back :D James Storm is always fun.
Bounty Hunter: Brock Lesnar, Killer Kowalski & Gorilla Monsoon, Daniel Bryan, Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard, Chris Benoit (Trade), Ken Shamrock & Steve Blackman, American Alpha, Double Kong, Bobby Heenan

On paper its all about Brock v Bryan but throw in the Brainbusters, Heenan, Shamrock and Blackman, American Alpha and that other guy and I get the impression BH has a very solid plan for where he is going.
SlickRic: Samoa Joe, Misawa, HHH, Bam Bam Bigelow, the Road Warriors, Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards, Bruiser Brody, Magnum TA, Bruno Sammartino

Interesting mix here. Very hard hitting and believable wrestlers. Any 2 of 6 guys could main event here supported by LoD and the Wolves. Interested to see what Brody does.
A Brad Maddox Guy: Kazuchika Okada, Brian Pillman, Batista, RVD, Kota Ibushi & Kenny Omega, The Miz, Damien Sandow & Titus O'Neil, Chris Sabin, Time Splitters - Alex Shelley and Kushida

New Japan meets WWE right here! I wonder if that could be the storyline we get running through BMGs company. A MCMG Time Splitters alliance could make for fun writing.
LeeJM: AJ Styles, Steve Williams, Chris Jericho(Trade), Jerry Lawler (Trade), Sabu & Tazz, Matt Sydal and Riochet, James Mitchell, Diamond Dallas Page, Barry Windham

Meh rookie doesnt stand a chance.
Beakerjoe: Chris Hero & Cesaro, Ric Flair, Shinuke Nakamura, Young Bucks, Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch, Kerry Von Erich (Texas Tornado), Ethan Carter III, Emma and Bayley

Has to be Nak v Flair right?! KVE was a great value pick as was EC III. Do we get a Cesaro main event run or a Kings of Wrestling reunion? Looking forward to seeing what Joe does with the NXT women.
Thebostoncrab: Kurt Angle, Rick Rude, Kenta & Kenta Kobashi, Bully Ray, Scott Steiner, Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows, Low Ki and THE Brian Kendrick, Bobby Roode, Colt Cabana

There is quality right through out this roster. Angle, Kobashi, Bully and KENTA makes for a potentially huge main event. Guns and Gallows is a great tag pick and Id love to see the crabman right them v The Steiners.
PTH2009: Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn, Big Bossman, Sheamus, Rocco Rock & Johnny Grunge, Rhyno, JBL, Neville, Bobby Lashley, Ron Simmons

Great variety on this roster. Owens and Zayn are the standout pick but look deeper and Bossman was one of Hogans best opponents. JBL could be a douchebag heel or part of a kick a$$ APA. Neville is always a fan favourite and psycho ECW Rhyno was a star.
Paulie21: John Cena, Lou Thesz, Mick Foley, Mr Kennedy, Honkey Tonk Man & Greg Valentine, Kevin Nash aka Diesel, Sgt. Slaughter, The Bella Twins, Terry Funk

Paulie has the Franchise player in Cena. No matter who he matches him with its gonna be interesting. Nash is a favourite of mine so very interested to see what your plans are there. Funk and Foley great friends, better rivals?
BrianRegan09: Hiroshi Tanahashi, Mr Perfect, Goldberg, Raven & Perry Saturn, Paul Heyman, Christopher Daniels & Frank Kazarian (Suicide), Apollo Crews, James Gibson(Jamie Noble)

Raven with Heyman by his side is what I'd love to see here. Tana is a true main event player and Goldberg is always over. Not sure where Brian is going here but I bet its gonna be a fun write and even better read.
JP Liz: Roman Reigns, Owen Hart & Davey Boy Smith, Dolph Ziggler, Christian, Tyson Kidd & David Hart Smith, Drew Galloway and Wade Barrett, Nigel McGuinness, Natalya & Beth Phoenix

Everyone has spotted the UK v Canada dynamic here and its pure genius by Liz. That has epic written all over it. Reigns doesnt fit in there so will be interesting to see where Liz goes with RR.
Cheese Wagstaff: Seth Rollins, Sean O' Haire, Ricky Dragon Steamboat, Shelton Benjamin & MVP, Mercury & Morrison, Jay Lethal & Xavier Woods, Mark Henry, Tatsumi Fujinami

Seth is the Ace of this roster. Unlike WWE I think Chesse is gonna build around Seth and show us all how great SR is. Steamer always delivers against any opponent, Shelton, MVP and Lethal makes a very strong upper midcard.
Shagnastii: Sting, Ultimate Warrior, Hulk Hogan, Vince McMahon, Jesse Ventura, Demolition (Ax & Smash), Santino & Carlito, Val Venis

My favourite roster by far! I have no idea how Shag lays this out but I cant wait to read it. Heel McMahon in 1990?! Jesse v Hogan? Sting v Hogan v Warrior? Its all so intriguing. Cant wait for Shags write up
Stereomaniac: Kofi Kingston & Big E, Yokozuna, Bret Hart, The Big Show, Iron shiek, Charlotte, Dash & Dawson, Paige & Sweet Saraya, Mil Mascaras

Bret as the fighting champ is always fun and a Bret Big Show feud could be a real treat. I believe Stereo is a big Charlotte fan so interested to see how he books her. And if you cant get the Brainbusters than why not get the Brainbusters 2000 edition in Dash and Dawson. Oh and he only bloody has the New Day!
Mrkiscool: The Undertaker, Fabulous Moolah, Jake The Snake Roberts, Sandman, Trish Stratus and Lita, Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish, The Vaudevillains, Zack Sabre Jr, Harley Race

Taker is the standout name here but name value isnt what its all about. Great writing can get anyone over and I think MrK has a plan for his roster. Zack is a quality pick and think he might be one to watch closely.
ImnottheHulk: Bray Wyatt, Dusty Rhodes, Booker T (trade), Dan Spivey (chosen as part of a tag team), Goldust & Stardust, Eric Rowan and Luke Harper, The Ascension : Konnor and Viktor, Nikitta Koloff, Bob Backlund, Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady

The Rhodes Family v The Wyatt Family! Money feud. That was some genius drafting by Hulk. Enzo and Cass are always fun and Nikitta v Bob could be a great feud. Really good roster.
Uncle Walt: CM Punk(Trade), Randy Savage, HBK, Dynamite Kid, William Regal & Lance Storm, The Great Sasuke and Jushin Liger, Dean Malenko, Michael Hayes, Terry Gordy (Trade) & Buddy Roberts - The Fabulous Freebirds

What more can be said about this roster. Its phenomenal. So much talent. Walt has to be the early favorite.
DM_7: Randy Orton, Eddie Guerrero, Roddy Piper (trade), Alberto Del Rio, Mark & Jay the Briscoes, Austin Aries, Shane McMahon, Rusev, Pentagon Jr

I have only just realised but DM has amassed a quality roster. Literally any single one of his roster can main event and be 100% believable and credible. So many possibilities here.
Necrominus: Kane, Scott Hall(Trade), The Rock, Jeff Hardy, New Age Outlaws: Road Dogg & Billy Gunn, Muhammad Hassan, Test & Albert, X-Pac, Andre The Giant

We have all said, The Attitude Era is back! DX (minus HHH), Kane, The Rock, Jeff Hardy and Scott Hall. All big parts of the AE and now Necro gets to have fun rebooking them. Throw in Andre and T&A and Necro has the makings of a really fun Fed.

BH, will we find out who we got as it goes along or will you wait until the end of the round to show everybody the list in full?

As we go along for example you and Liz have just had your bonus stip picks added to your posts in the other thread. (don't get your hopes up though remember this is enhancement talent your getting).

    O and ....Damn you LeeJM!!

I even organized a trade so as to get Haku (and had planned to get Barbarian as a bonus) after missing out on him in the last round (to be honest twas my fault should have known he wasn't eligible as part of that team) now I will def have to re-write the stuff I was avoiding re-writing. Good pick though Meng was a legit badass and although it feels like you may use him in his WCW character I'd love to see him just given a real tough guy push.

now off to quickly re-think plans

Yeah Beaker is right the plan is to have 15 this year.

btw Shagnasti your bonus enhancement talent has been added to your pick :D

edit and now so is TBCs who himself picked 2 Mexican lucha legends. I remember Flah took them in 2011 iirc also, great value pick

Yeah I wouldn't have left her late tbh, and can def see her working well in a I taught you everything you know kinda way with your ladies.

Bonus picks so far are a varied bunch:

    Duke "The Dumpster" Droese
    Colin Delaney
    Special Deliver "SD" Jones
    Jeff "NWO Sting" Farmer
and the dodgy Ref "Dangerous Danny Davis

    Cheers.

I gotta admit ... while I had a general idea that getting the Rhodes and Wyatts together would be great ... I really don't have any idea what I'm gonna do with them all!

HAve started formulating a plan in my mind ... but probably gonna be messy.

Must say I'm impressed by all the rosters so far ... they're all a hell of a lot more balanced than mine. I keep getting surprised by people picking workers I had forgotten about. Like Jack Swagger, for some reason I thought he was gone ages ago!
