Murray had a chance to break Djokovic in first game but blew it. Then double-faulted on his own serve to give Djokovic a break. Disastrous start for Murray. Probably first set gone....

5-0 now. double break. all goes back to the first game where Murray had the break chance and hit a weak down the line forehand that Djokovic put away.

Well this match is probably over already. Murray just being dominated. Hasn't hit a winner yet, so many unforced errors and Djokovic not giving any free points

Finally got a game - but it has got him into the match now.

The only one even close to Serena in build would be Stosur, and she's not even close herself. The rest are all your average build of a female tennis player, bar Clijsters who normally looked a bit chubby. Serena is built like a bull and has serious muscles on her arms and legs.

Take Mauresmo and Williams. Same height, same weight, and by looking at them I'd assume very similar body fat percentage. Yet you're saying one is built like a bull and has serious muscles on her arms and legs, and she's exceptional in this. That doesn't add up.

What a wonderful set from Murray

I turned on late and nearly missed the first set. Very hard to seee Djokovic coughing up a set this morning.

Good save of break points in that long game - 12 minutes!

    *SNIP*

NONE OF THAT. CONSIDER THIS YOUR ONLY WARNING

Murray needs to do a Kerber here and be more aggressive.

Djokivic is a bit rattled now - Murry needs to capitalise.

there it is again. Murray can't convert his break chances. In the very next game Djokovic does. don't see a way back for Murray now. Murray just not mentally strong enough on the key points - too impatient on them mostly whereas Djokovic will bide his time for the right moment in a point to strike.

Djokovic bad choice on the shot there - Murray had had a bad mid court drop attempt and Djokovic nets it. Murray does finally take the break then!

Well Murray is certainly up for it I'll give him that. I'd like to see him win here after 4 final losses..

Murray playing much better now but just can't get easy points still or an easy hold of serve. Under so much pressure

some game there. but can he do something to take the second set

Murray had chances there in that game - just not playing smart really. poor choice of shots.

Do you have to do trolling crap everytime Murray and Federer play?

We get it you don't like them, but constantly having to read "Murray can't lose" and " Federer won't lose" when they play while you do your jinxing makes the thread so tedious to read.

awful loss of a service game there from Murray from 40-0 up.
Murray is as talented and probably as fit as Djokovic but Djokovic is just stronger mentally (smarter with shot selection and better focus at the key moments particularly).

Bang on there IMO. Once again he had his chances to break but just panicked and snatched at his shots instead of remaining patient.

Djokovic will probably crisis through this next set now and win his 11th slam.

Tough to see where he will be beaten in next few years.

    Murray is mentally gone here.

The French maybe as that is his weakest surface, but yeah unless he slows down physically he should dominate for the next few years.

Djokovic is as said earlier in this thread the strongest player both mentally and physically in the game, I hope he wins the French Open. He is going to surpass Federer barring injury.

It was nice to watch a Djokovic match where he didn't have to also fight the crowd, I always think he comes across as a very nice person, but with fierce determination not to lose.

Niall Horan at the match and there to meet Djokovic, they play tennis together and are close friends.

How the hell did he become friends with the dancing priest.

Honestly I cant see how he has time left to reach 17. He lost far too much ground between 2008 and 2011, and again between 2012-2014, to be able to win 6 more now..

Then again, two years ago I wouldn't have given him a chance of catching nadal/sampras, that looks very much on the cards atm.

Poor final sadly, these two seem to bring out the worst in each other when they play.

I suppose Novak wants to knock everyone out of the way as he heads in one direction towards being the greatest ever.
