Honestly when looking at the picks yesterday I was surprised to see he hadnt gone yet! And getting Sydal as part of the deal was just way too good to ignore.

Makes it an excellent pick, they are a division on their own.

Nooooo! Damn you Paulie.... Didn't expect him to last that much longer though.... Great pick though.

Getting Nash so late is amazing.

The man was a complete catalyst to the MNW.

Nash was my first choice last round depending on where I landed in draw. When I got 20th I changed my plans knowing full well he wouldn't last much longer. Wanted NAO badly too so it was an either or situation.

Damn the Miz was high on my list, grrr

I'm always surprised at how late Nash goes in this. Delighted with The Miz; I think he fits my roster pretty well, should be fun to write angles for and can have 5* classics against Okada :P:pac:

Flying through this round! Good work all!

I have had 7 tag teams since the last round that haven't been touched...and I kinda wish they had of been cause it'd make my life easier, I can't decide which ones I want!

Go on Slic, pick one for me so it goes down to 6!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,025 ✭✭✭✭beakerjoe

Great pick in the Wolves, never expected them to get to me but top of my next picks. Surprised they lasted so long

12 ahead of me and still debating to take a tag team or a singles guy, damn draft problems

It took me ages to decide this.

Wolves were one of my names so that helped! I decided to forgo some bigger names still here from the tag world and go with a team I love watching and just loved the idea of booking.

Glad I checked my e-mail over the weekend when I was in work. I would have missed my deadline otherwise. I'm around for the next hour or so here but there's 10 ahead of me ha ha.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 23,104 Mod ✭✭✭✭Bounty Hunter

Caught in the same position as you lads were, Singles wrestler or tag team...what to pick? Need a specific type of tag team and dunno if there would be any left by the next round that'd fit my plans so leaning that way but there are some really big name single stars still available.

what to do what to do

Wouldn't be surprised if MNG wanted Anderson & Gallows to join up with Balor. Also nice to see Ventura get picked earlier this year, I had great fun writing for him last year.

Really enjoyed your work with Ventura last year, great use of him and it really added another layer to your roster.

I may have an advantage (if you want to call it that), that by the time its my pick my mind may be made up for me depending on whos drafted ahead of me.

I've found each round fairly easy to pick in so far. Even the abandoned stipulation seemed easy enough to me. I've always got a clear idea who I want next and keep getting my choices.

    My thoughts so far :
Lord TSC: Dean Ambrose & Solomon Crowe, Umaga, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Rey Mysterio, The Great Muta,

A tasty looking roster so far and 2 rebels like Austin and Ambrose seems like a sure thing on paper, but additions of Umaga, Rey and Muta mean your main event is wide open.
Mr.Nice Guy: Finn Balor, Nick Bockwinkel & Ray Stevens, Edge , Stan Hansen, Ted Dibiase & IRS,

The selction of characters here is mouth watering and in the hands of MNG, can be very useful. While Ted Dibiase is MNGs 5th pick, i smell an MVP of the draft with MNGs creative writing.

Bounty Hunter: Brock Lesnar, Killer Kowalski & Gorilla Monsoon, Daniel Bryan, Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard, Chris Benoit

While not having the greatest speakers in the world, this is a hard hitting roster and one that can easily have a variety of 5 stars matches depending on how BH wants to go.
SlickRic: Samoa Joe, Misawa, HHH, Bam Bam Bigelow, the Road Warriors,
, The American Wolves : Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards,

An uber talented roster here from the returning draft veteran, and again its unclear as to what his main event feud will be as he has 3/4 great top tier talents on board as well as a strong tag team bout.
A Brad Maddox Guy: Kazuchika Okada, Brian Pillman, Batista, RVD, Kota Ibushi & Kenny Omega, The Miz,
A great mix of great characters and fantastic in-ring perfromers. This could be one of my favourite rosters based on its diversity.
LeeJM: AJ Styles, Dr. Death Steve Williams & Terry "Bam Bam" Gordy, CM Punk, Sabu & Tazz, Matt Sydal and Riochet,
Agreat mix of great high flying talent, hard hitting brusiers and great grapplers. Lee is a new comer but Im looking forward to see what he can do with this roster.
Beakerjoe: Chris Hero & Cesaro, Ric Flair, Shinuke Nakamura, Young Bucks, Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch,
My roster :) Im happy so far :)
Thebostoncrab: Kurt Angle, Rick Rude, Kenta & Kenta Kobashi, Bully Ray, Scott Steiner, Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows
TBC goes back to the lads so far this year and has assembled a great roster thus far. His main event can go many ways and so far has the makings of potentailly the best roster in draft history.
PTH2009: Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn, Big Bossman, Sheamus, Rocco Rock & Johnny Grunge, Rhyno,
some big names here as well as some old ECW greats for good measure. Very interested to see what comes from the new comer.
Paulie21: John Cena, Lou Thesz, Mick Foley, Mr Kennedy, Honkey Tonk Man & Greg Valentine, Kevin Nash aka Diesel,
Im really liking this roster, some fantastic caharacters, great speakers and great grapplers to boot. A nice balanced roster with great potential.
BrianRegan09: Hiroshi Tanahashi, Mr Perfect, Goldberg, Raven & Perry Saturn, Paul Heyman,
Some great talent here and plenty of scope for a variety of main events depending on what floats Brians boat.
JP Liz: Roman Reigns, Owen Hart & Davey Boy Smith, Dolph Ziggler, Christian, Tyson Kidd & David Hart Smith, Drew Galloway and Wade Barrett,
A great double pick in the RIP round means Liz is in a very strong position. Very interested to see what you do with PE#1 Roman.
Cheese Wagstaff: Seth Rollins, Sean O' Haire, Ricky Dragon Steamboat, Shelton Benjamin & MVP, Mercury & Morrison,
A very athletic roster if I do say so and one that could have some great 5 star matches. Plus I love the pick of Sean O'Haire, a great character which was under used in WWE.
Shagnastii: Sting, The Ulitmate Warrior, Hulk Hogan, Vince McMahon, Jesse Ventura,

What a roster. A great 80s / early 90s feel to this group and knowing Shag he will get the most out of a fantatsic line up.
Stereomaniac: Kofi Kingston & Big E, Yokozuna, Bret Hart, The Big Show, Iron shiek
Some great characters here, ranging from the loud and prod New Day to the down right crazy Shieky baby. Looking forward to see what Stereo brings.
Mrkiscool: The Undertaker, Fabulous Moolah, Jake The Snake Roberts, Sandman, Trish Stratus and Lita, Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish,
A nice little niche roster, with 3 great male charcters together should be a fun read.

ImnottheHulk: Bray Wyatt, Dusty Rhodes, Scott Hall & Dan Spivey, Goldust & Stardust, Eric Rowan and Luke Harper, The Acsension : Konnor and Viktor,
The Wyatts versus the Rhodes.... sign me up!
Uncle Walt: Chris Jericho, Randy Savage, HBK, Jerry "The King" Lawler, Dynamite Kid,
What a talented bunch, a lack of tag teams is made up with the amazing singles talent at hand. One of my favs.
DM_7: Randy Orton, Eddie Guerrero, Booker T, Alberto Del Rio, Mark & Jay the Briscoes,
A nice latin blend to this roster as well as some great in ring competitors makes this rosterone to watch. Alberto, in the right hands, can be a dark horse for MVP of the draft.
Necrominus: Kane, Roddy Piper, The Rock, Jeff Hardy, New Age Outaws aka Billy Gunn and Jessie James,
A nice attitude era feel to this roster, with a nice mix of great vocal talent and in ring greats.

Just a slight change to the roster updates- myself and Imnotthehulk have already completed the trade - Roddy Piper for Scott Hall.

Again Becky Lynch is available for the right offer.

JBL picked by PTH, DM7 online, I'm up next and just checking with TSC about a pick being okay (as im running it I don't wanna just decide by myself)...we might get another run going now

Feck! JBL was who I wanted for this round. Stan Hansen vs JBL would have been too good to pass up. The proud Texan vs the Texan-turned-New Yorker. Lariat vs Clothesline from Hell. And I was so close to him. :(

Ha forgot MNG but great he's online too!

JBL vs Hansen def would have been a decent idea. Who knows maybe he'd be open to a trade although knowing yourself i'd imagine you've already got a plan in mind for everyone you have atm
