Cena was also my first choice so at least I know I never had a hope of getting him. I don't expect either my 2nd or 3rd choice to reach me either but fingers crossed

Looks like we won't have any more picks tonight so I just want to say in case my turn comes along that the earliest I can manage to get on for Tuesday would be around about 4-5 pm.

    aaaaaaaahhhhhh

the above have been added to the list (19 & 20 this round, so aaaaaahhhhh will start off round 2) completing our roster of draftees for 2016. A good mix this year with returning former drafters like Slick, people who seem to be brought back to the board year on year like Walt, former champions like MNG and Myself and among others a lot of new blood, more in fact than we usually have.

Taker and Cena gone around when I woulda expected them to. Cena is a really solid guy to build around, while Taker is a legend and you can decide if we get a reallly supernatural version or not of Deadman taker, If you give him a ministry or not, maybe you make him the American badass, run a retirement angle, go all MMA with him or actually decide to do something completely different.

now that we can actually work out for sure where we will be in the rd2 order (seing as we now have 20 competitors) I will announce the stip (and put up the revers order of Rd1) around the time we'd usually do a draw for the next rounds order, maybe a little after 2/3rds of this round is complete.

I think my second pick should still be available, and is definitely a "Pick cause he fits plans" pick. One thing I do like about the draft is there should be an abundance of massive names left in Round 2 to choose from too...

And round 3 too, Ive done up a 60 name list and still should be some great top tier picks available come round 3

Well round 2 will also be a stip round so I can guarantee you some of the very biggest names ever will be available in round 3

Steen/generico aka Owens/Zayn is a really great value pick and gives lots of options when deciding who to draft for big feuds in the next few rounds imo.

Personally would really like to write for Owens

    Damn you Moneymaker.

Realisticly Im sure they would be gone by my pick anyway.

is everyone PMing the next guy on the list? Maybe thats a reason its going so slow this year?

There was no way they weren't going to go together. Always serious bang for your buck, even more so this year given their fantastic beginnings in WWE.

I had some other ideas and another potential pair who could have been money but this seemed the best choice :p

After the year he had AJ is an awesome pick to get, especially with the news that broke today!

Well Kevin Owens/Sami Zayn was my no 1 pick but AJ was definitely no 1a and I was praying I would get at least one of them picks. VERY happy to have AJ on board for my first roster. Been a fan of his since 03 and my name on the old IWW board was based on AJs nickname :pac::pac:

Great pick by Lee. I had AJ on my shortlist for this round. Right now I find myself torn between two guys, one of whom has been one of my favourites for well over a decade and the other who is my favourite guy in the biz today. Decisions, decisions...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,844 ✭✭✭Moneymaker

    I seriously, seriously considered AJ.

But Sami and Owens was just too good value wise.

Just by that I think we are eyeing up the same two guys!

Lol depending on how our rosters shape up a trade down the line may be an option ;) if allowed

I'm actually glad Balor is gone. Might have felt the need to draft him if he wasn't picked. :P

And we were (assuming you thought of my guy). Great pick in Kurt who's one of my all-time favourites. I would have been equally delighted with him.

You are correct sir, Devitt was my second choice after Kurt so that worked out very nicely!

God Damn it my 1st pick gone :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,804 ✭✭✭A Brad Maddox Guy

The first 8 names I wrote down when I saw the stip are now gone. I knew I had no chance of getting Cena but had been hoping Balor might slip through to me

First and second choice gone. Third choice certain to go.

Just noticed that Lord TSC is called Teamshadowclan on the Draft picks thread. Might be best off changing that in case there's any confusion

I'll change that later as newer posters may not remember him before he became a lord (mod).

Kurt was actually my backup to Brock as I'd never booked either before, very strong all rounder to start with. Very curious to see what MNG will do with Balor and I'm glad to see AJ going early too. Makes sense he'd go before them but I'm curious to see when other NJPW talent will go this year.

Samoa Joe is def an interesting one, had him last year myself as a bargain pick a few rounds in and for me he is the definition of someone made even better by wrestlers drafted being considered the peak version of themselves. After his ROH run and undefeated run in TNA he was undeniably hot sh!t

Solid pick by Lord TSC considering the stip.

I can say from experience 2 years ago that Ambrose is a joy to write for and he was on my list again if he made it to my turn.

Ambrose won Superstar of the year that year and he is a versatile guy, cant wait to see who hes paired against/with

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 42,956 Mod ✭✭✭✭Lord TSC

Ambrose was someone I wanted from the moment I started writing up plans for my stories a few months back. Other roles can have different cast members, but Ambrose was the lynchpin of a lot of it; the guy I want to be THE main good guy. So grabbing him now, rather than risking him going before my next pick.

And when I saw he had been picked with Crowe before and realised that the hacker gimmick sits into the narrative so perfectly, couldn't resist grabbing him as a bonus :)

I thinking you should always go with 'who fits', like you've done there, than go for a bigger name for the sake of it.

Big E and Kofi arent as big as a Brock or Seth, but they would be a hoot to write for in their current form.

I was the same with Ambrose 2 years ago too, he was my first pick then and I had so much fun with him. Crowe was a good bonus for me too, though I felt I could have done better with the hacker gimmick.
