ha sorry Shag, pleased with Brock myself (thought Stereo might take him tbh) although I've always found Brock to be difficult to book when reading others as it's not easy to match him with someone who can credibly take on The Beast

He actually didnt ruin it.... I saw your post first :)

I was like....what! Stereo be crazy picking Tommy D. :)

Didnt think New day would be picked so early myself but they are the hottest act in WWE today. I had them on my list though

Brock is a tough one but no better man to bring out the best in him. I felt Walt did a great job two years back with him

from Brock Freakin Lesnar to Seth Freaking Rollins

Seth was the surprise 1st pick last year but I doubt anyone is surprised he has gone so early this year

Iexpected Seth to go early considering the stip. Oh I love that the ball is firmly rolling now :)

I'm delighted I got Big E. & Kofi. I feel they fit in better with what I want to attempt to write.

I thinking you should always go with 'who fits', like you've done there, than go for a bigger name for the sake of it.

Big E and Kofi arent as big as a Brock or Seth, but they would be a hoot to write for in their current form.

I agree for sure, better to stick to the plan. However, I am chuffed to bits to get 'The Man' on board. I feel he's a very versatile character, so hopefully I do him justice!

Be interesting to see if he is the heel we have seen for the past year or the face everyone expected prior to him turning on the shield when you book him.

I've two questions ... and they might be a bit pointless ... more out of curiosity than anything.

But ... is the 1970 debut still in effect in this round? (I'm assuming it is ..but just to be 100% sure)

And ... if matches are taped some time in advance before being aired ... is it he match date or the air date that counts?

Great stip! Phew can't believe I nearly missed this!

Yeah it is still in effect in this round and with regards the 2nd one I honestly hadn't thought about it but I guess the stip says wrestled a match not appeared on TV so I guess it's match date that counts.

Great to have you and WECWF back, i'll add you to the order. Your no.18 this round and atm no.1 next round (although if more sign up that could change to 2 or 3)

    Great to have you aboard!

Delighted to see it almost full now and with a some new blood like Stereo, Lee, Hulk and Cheese. Could be the best year yet

Good to have you back, walt. I expect you will deliver a great roster as per usual. Also nice to see another new entrant. Should be plenty of contenders for best newcomer when it's all said and done.

I like the picks made so far. I forgot all about that nervous feeling you get as you check the picks thread to see how many names you have to cross off. :pac:

Not surprised to see Stereomaniac pick Big E & Kofi early but definitely didn't think they'd be pick #1. In saying that it is better to go with what fits ideas rather than a big name for the sake of it and I'm sure they'll be a lot of fun. Be interesting to see if the last two spots don't get filled, there could be some big names available very late on. Still hope we get the last couple of sign-ups though

with 13 picks left til my turn I have 12 people on my top tier list who I d like to use that are actually eligible. There are way more than 12 top picks, just 12 that Id like to have as others would be difficult for me to write for, so hopefully I get lucky. But hey I have a decent number in the next round.

There is one guy Id love to have but Im sure he will be gone by pick 16. Damn

Great to see so many new comers this year since we only had 1 or 2 iirc last year.

Im delighted to be doing it this year. I have 2 guys in particular that I really would love and am hopeful 1 of them will still be available come my pick. If not I have a third guy that would fit the role I have in mind, I guess its all just a waiting game for now

Same here I've 2 maybe 3 guys who I'm considering but its a long way to go yet :D

Apologies, studying all day so haven't had a chance to get on here until know, like the stip and will take my time picking a superstar as there are so many great ones to pick!

Interesting choice by MrK, definitely not 1 I expected to see go this early

Haven't had a chance to use him before and he was 3rd on my list for this round behind Lesnar and Rollins so decided to go with him! Will be very fun to write for, even had a chance to have fun with him in the pick!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,804 ✭✭✭A Brad Maddox Guy

He's great to write for, had him in my first Draft and felt I could go all out with the atmosphere & supernatural aspect while still keeping it serious purely because he's one of the most respected names in the business. Plus he can have a good feud with pretty much anyone.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,542 ✭✭✭✭paulie21

Taker was my first choice ha, may build around Cena now

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,469 ✭✭✭LeeJM

Was interested to see where Cena was gonna go in this round, cos I know if he was still available at my pick I wasnt gonna take him. Still a solid pick anyway you look at it, one of the true megastars of the industry

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,429 ✭✭✭ShagNastii

Sooo sickened Cena was plucked. He was definitely my first pick.

I got him fairly late a few years back but knew he wouldn't last with the stip this year. Great character to have.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,643 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Good choices so far. Plenty of my names being crossed off this round.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 42,956 Mod ✭✭✭✭Lord TSC

Cena was my first pick too :(

I think my second pick should still be available, and is definitely a "Pick cause he fits plans" pick. One thing I do like about the draft is there should be an abundance of massive names left in Round 2 to choose from too...

I have a name that I really hope sneaks past the next few picks and lands as my first draft pick. It's someone I always wanted and would be very easy to build a fed around.

The waiting lads, it kills me every time!
