What happened? Did they go under?

I got a full refund from them today. It took 12 emails but i got there in the end. So I'd say they are still trading. I certainly won't order from them again. Nor would i recommend them to anyone.

They pulled the same stunt at Christmas, left nearly all their customers without items. Refunds had to be chased up for months on end.

These guys are just cowboys, and do not have a clue how to run a business.

    They just aren't serious whatsoever.

Just to let people know. They are staying trading and still not delivering. Waiting over two months now for two orders. Promised refunds but nothing. Even sent me a screenshot of a refund payment made to my account. Dated a month before the date they said I was given the refund. Not good.!! Be advised and do not buy from them.

They're still emailing me constantly with their offers even though they have me blocked on facebook. The item that I ordered, once I eventually got it, was absolutely rubbish and broke after a few uses. Not sure how they are still trading. The RTE consumer show were due to do a piece about them, did it ever materialise?

Sure if the raging people showing up at the owners warehouse and house last christmas didn't put him off then nothing will. I personally don't see where all the hassle and delays come from. It's not that difficult to order a bulk shipment of stuff from alibaba or dhgate and sell them on. He must be a terrible businessman if he can't even get that right  I would love to know how he got a business grant from the government.

If everyone boycotted them they'd soon die off.

Not sure how they have 50k likes on Facebook either. The mind boggles.

I bought a ghd on 13/09/2014. Never received the item and i was promised a full refund. They are ignoring my emails and written lwtter and they blocked me on facebook too after i messaged them. I am going to take them to the small claims court. <snip>

I can't believe this company is still going, I threatened then with the small claims court last year when my sister didn't receive her items. They replied 'go ahead'. They refunded before the court date.

Stay well away. They seem to use Facebook as a marketing tool, getting into selling pages and looking like they are well 'liked' by the community members. They use pictures of typical things to get their page liked.

Was it supposed to be a real GHD? I would seriously doubt they were selling GHD branded products.

I'm surprised they even survived after last years Christmas ordeal. Pretty much none of the orders were sent out in time for Christmas, despite numerous promises. If they pull that ****e again this year, they'll be out of business for sure. Although there are still idiots buying from them.. <snip>

These have stung me for €50, I should have researched before buying.

It's only been 2 days but I needed it for Saturday, they won't reply to any email and although when I log in on the website the status is "unpaid" and I have the option to cancel, it doesn't work.

Does anyone have a phone number for them? Or advice on what to do from here?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2 Kd15

There is no phone number available for them unfortunately. Now we know why. They emailed me within 15mins of posting on this and ranting on facebook on 13/11/15 saying i will receive full refund by cheque this week. Its Wednesday. Still no sign of it. If i do receive payment i will let you know. Keep hounding them. I even wrote to them and they ignored that. They have an office in limerick. If i dont receive payment i might take

They lie and lie and lie and hope you eventually get tired and p*ss off. That's how they make their money. They don't deliver many products, it's all just a big <snip> really. Good luck getting your cheque mate.

Get on to your bank about getting a chargeback to your card.

I ordered something off them, never received it and was promised a refund several times. Then after they assured me they had refunded me already, I saw in my statement they had actually charged me double in the first place!!

I got straight on to the bank, and got the money back a few weeks later. I had to send a letter explaining what happened and a copy of the email chain to them. I think there is a time limit of 120 days from the date of the charge to dispute it so make sure to get on to your bank ASAP, the limit might be different depending on your bank/credit card

I got the phone number, it's posted here.

He hung up on me, not a great sign. And now the phone is knocked off.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,497 ✭✭✭Curb Your Enthusiasm

They've removed their fb page it appears.. I wonder how many didn't get their xmas orders this year...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8 minnymouse

I ordered from them back in November. I have been onto them several times by email.
took them ages to reply to me. When they did reply this is what they said.

    Dear Customer,

Your order has now arrived to our warehouses and is currently being packed and will be sent to Fastway for consignment, you can expect this order to be delivered on Monday 21st of December, a member of Fastway may contact you on your contact number registered on your IWTD account to arrange delivery on the day

Guess what still has not arrived. I have sent 3 emails since demanding my money back. No reply yet from them. How are they allowed to do this to people ???

If you never received your item, you've got a few options.

You can lodge a dispute with PayPal if you paid through them.

Or you can call your bank if you paid by credit or visa debit card, and request a chargeback

After 7 months of pursuing them I finally got my refund!!! Was getting nowhere till I mailed them the addresses of their directors and their names and stated I was headed there to knock and ask for my money back. They weren't long dropping the bull crap excuses and doing a payment reversal!!!

Addresses are available on solocheck for a small fee. Or just message me and I'll send to you for free ðŸ˜

Hi there, would you mind mailing me those details please? Been trying since January 15 to get a refund and they had agreed to refund PayPal which never did, then send cheque which never arrived. Their Facebook page is closed and they finally mailed me tonight (first response in months!) to say my mails had been going to their spam account and when I try reply looks like their email is now inactive. It's only 35 quid I'm due back but I'm determined to get it! I must've sent 50 emails already, lodged complaints with ECC, ombudsman, PayPal and no joy! 😡😡😡😡😡
