For how much? Not looking to spend a lot.

    I suppose €175ish all in.

Might be too much for you? Like I said I'm a bit stuck as whether to break it/fix it/reshell it :o

Or a set of these with brutal tyres?

Now I know how women feel with shoes. Still trying to find wheels, not going to spend more than around €1,000 for a set, which I know, means I'm looking at reps.

Mine was the very last of them on a 99 reg.
I change around through my wheels a good bit though so never go by the wheels :)

It was a miserable day and couldn't make out the reg in time tbh. I knew yours was one of the last. I actually looked at the driver after the wheels tbh so knew twasn't yourself :)

€175 is a bit over the budget I had in mind.

That set looks good as well. Hopefully they are 14"? In that case I could slap my own tyres on them.

Yeah for an aul escort I though it would be alright. Yeah 14" from a mk5 fiesta. I'll throw up a few decent pics of them tomorrow and maybe work out a price if you're interested.

Agree with the shoes comment FN :D

It's not that it's too old to spend money on, it's just that I can't afford much right now. Might get something nicer down the line.

    That's great, I'm definitely interested.

Is this for the black e39!? The wheels that are on it are the best. What I like about that e39 is its oem ness!

Yeah the Black E39, they're a lovely wheel but a bit too small, ideally I'd be getting genuine 18" M-Pars but they don't exist for reasonable prices, other OE wheels I've been looking at is 19" Style 95's from the E65 7 Series.

If you don't mind the reps and perceived felt spec jibes, this look can be had for €694 ex. tyres

FN would you push the boat out and go for a jap type wheel??

Some of the work wheels etc look fantastic on e39's if a little crazy..

The VS-XX is mental on them!

I was looking at Jap wheels alright, the likes of JR wheels to get an idea, I do want dish and preferably a staggered setup as that's what suits the E39. While Works are great, I don't fancy dropping 1800 sterling on a set :pac:

Yeah they are pricey, I'm sure there is a rota or jr copy to suit :)

Grid Drifts and their reps have really been tempting me if I'm honest....

SSR Proffessor Ms1's are like the VS-XX and probably cheaper?

The drifts do look good on the e39's!

I remember you telling me a year ago they wouldn't suit ST.

Now you want to put them on an E39 ? :p

10 years ago, an Italian man by the name of giussepe busso passed away. He was the inventor of two of the most famous engines in automotive history, the legendary Alfa Romeo twin cam and the infamous Busso v6

Ironically, it was three days after the production of the busso had ceased thanks to poxy emission rules in the name of saving athlone and the polar bear that he passed away

I'd still prefer the stock ST wheels over Grids on it, the ST wheels are savage as they stand!

If I had the Punto a couple of days later, I would have offered it to the good people at The Miniature Scenes to thrash around and then set on fire. Could've made for a good episode. :D

Any good sellers on ebay for bulbs, specifically reg plate and footwells?

I've used these guys before for chrome side bulbs. I was waiting a few days but they eventually arrived. There might be cheaper options but these are philips bulbs and not Chinese copies.
