Your car is lowered on coilovers if I'm correct and if so how much were they to declare on insurance?

Nope, mine is still on stock suspension. Was looking at coilovers or else new shocks and lowering springs.

Seems to be almost no wheels for sale that suit an E39 at the moment, desperate for a set of 18's/19's and a small bit of low for mine :(

why dont you swap the 18ins m5s from your red car over ? looked well in the few pics so far

Have been to a fair few interviews lately to be a junior salesman and the comission is ****, the basic is also ****. Seems like you'd be lucky to take €50 from a sale. Still want the job.

Surly if you sold a brand new car you'd get a lot more commission maybe I'm wrong. Either way best of luck with the job search for 2016 if your persistent I'm sure you'll get the job you want. It's not all about the money especially when your younger you don't need as much money anyway as you don't have as many commitments and once your an experienced salesman you'll will get a bit more money in sure. Would make a change to have a salesman that actually knows something about cars :pac:

    It depends.

If you just want it to look nice - go for it. But performance would be affected.

I would've, if they matched :pac: one of the previous owners seemed to try doing a diy shadow chrome job, 3 wheels are the same and one just does not match at all :D

Or one of the wheels is off another BMW.

    Have a read here:
    http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/e39-m5-e52-z8-discussion/141380-chrome-shadow-paint-process-wheel-refinishing.html
Differences in OEM Finish: One of the difficult, if not down right annoying aspects of the chrome shadow line of wheels for the E39 M5 are known differences in the appearance of OEM factory wheels. Because the chrome shadow paint is sprayed in such thin layers it’s possible for there to be differences in shade depending on the technician performing the work at the factory. As an end result, there are entire batches of wheels that will come out slightly darker or lighter.

Funny, with most of the people i've met, having an interest in cars is no real advantage, so it's good that i've a background in sales.

I'm sure it depends on the brand and customer etc, but my most recent interviews said that you'd get 14% comission on the profit of a sale and that you'd be lucky to clear €1k profit on a sale overall because the market is so tight.

Ah ok interesting enough. I still think someone that has an interest in cars makes a better salesman but as you said most are more concerned about your sales experience I suppose a lot of people that buy cars have no interest in them so don't care if the salesman is into them or not.

Is the bird bath standard or an optional extra on the 7 series? BMW really do think of everything.

You must be planning on keeping the focus a good while or servicing it very often :pac:

Yeah the Focus will be staying for a while. The oil is cheap so I might as well buy it now. I change oil yearly so it will last me a bit :)

Nice wheels but I love the OEM wheels on your car FN. They are perfect on the E39 IMO.

First time talking to the seller he said they were 15".. The he contacted me asking if it's ok that they were 16" ffs

Went to look at them they would just look so out of place on the Yaris.. Couldn't bring myself to buy something that I disliked so much. Ah well the hunt continues..

They are, they're a great wheel and I'll be keeping them but they're just a small bit too small for me!

I agree with SG. 17's are the right balance between comfort, reasonable tyre prices and good looks. 18's and up tyre sizes really jump and you lose the comfort I reckon.

BBS wheels or M-Pars as ye fanbois say would be the best wheels I'd say.
