Be interesting to see if Diaz fight happens, conor would win that one easy enough.

RDA fight I doubt very much

After seeing what RDA did to Cerrone it would be great to see him against Conor. 2 elite strikers not afraid to throw. I'd say Dos Anjos may go for a ground approach if it comes to it. Not really a fan of the Diaz style but it is fluid and smart. The trash talk would be great too.

I want to see Edgar get his shot first though.

Diaz is 2-3 on his last 5. Not happening and he doesn't have much, if anything that would scare Conor, don't see the fight being majorly competitive. He's ranked 15th in LW for a reason. He also doesn't have great trash talk because unlike Conor, he's not actually articulate at all. Shouting **** you a lot isn't the same thing.

Dos Anjos is scary. He's similar to Aldo but a lot bigger, wouldn't be surprised if he walked around close to 180. If he can get Conor to the ground there will be a lot of questions Conor will have to answer. If it stays standing Conor wins. Tbf that's probably the case with everyone Conor faces in LW.

Edit: Apparently he was already 180lbs when he was 16! Probably walks around at 190 at least, which for a guy who is 5'8 is absolutely massive.

I was hoping “The Reem” called out McGregor in the press conf as a joke. If Mr McGregor wants to come to heavy weight im waiting for him. He would of got a laugh and Diaz would of probably flipped.

McGregor v RDA. I’d say you’re nearly guaranteed that’s going to be McGregor’s next fight. Silva probably has the date set or has a calendar in front of him now.

He has mentioned walking around at 195 in the past. But that's out of shape and blown up between fights, not in-shape walk-around*

For reference, data on pre-steroid era bodybuilders suggests the max weight at 5'8" and 10%bf is 185lbs. RDA is right on the upper genetic limit.

    * I know people don't always use walk around to refer to in shape weight. But they should. It's pointless comparing blown up Rick Hatton/Johnny Hendricks weights.

They seem to do a lot of walking around nevertheless

Yeah and the reason being he was inactive do you seriously think diaz should be ranked 15th? hes a top 5er and was ranked 3rd till they dropped him for not fighting,Diaz is a big enough draw him and Conor would do decent numbers if they wanted a plain super fight between them for Conors 155 debut although thats doubtful.

RDA would want to say prayers Khabib doesnt get fit.

THANK YOU!! at last someone says it.. Diaz is about as relevant and versatile as a street fighter. he's a bygone and can only dream of being in the same league. Sure if memory serves wasn't he at welter and got slammed round like a rag doll by rory mcdonnel?. they both have zero to offer, him or his brother. they try hype fights shouting that they've deserved a shot and they stand in the middle with their hands out annoyed the opponent isn't playing to their one strength, Boxing!!
Nicks recent best day was picking BJ penn apart and he's been nothing since. He had nothing for GSP and nothing even for a broken silva. I wouldn't give the two air time but would have some modicum of respect for Nick base don past achievements pre UFC.

That Nate diaz is a clown who's lucky to rank at all. How someone like him hasn't been cut and John Fitch has, is beyond me.

LOL at the Nate Diaz hate, dont let your blind hate of his personality cloud the fact he is an elite fighter, absolutely zero shame losing to rory macdonald, hes also in the top 3 or 4 grapplers at 155 too,lit the number 6 guy up like a christmas tree ffs after a year off.

I like Nate Diaz but he is not an elite fighter. He's lost 5 of his last 10 fights.

I'd have Diaz at 5, Ferguson at 4, Alvarez dropped out to 9 I'm place of jury, maybe even further down.

I'm not getting too hung up on it but with his style I don't see how he beats many these days. Mcgregor is far too good and has too much pop for him. jasus cerrone really did not turn up as some said here, looks like he wont be spanking conor mcgregors "english" ass! anytime soon.

diaz would have to despatch a number 5 and 3 in my book to get within a shout.

Him v Ferguson would be a good scrap, Khabib would absolutely maul him though unless he's compleatly bolloxed now, but that's nothing to be ashamed of he would beat everyone in the division imo. That's one fight I wouldn't like to see Conor take.

I'm not sure sure Cerrone didn't show up. Seemed to be he got caught pretty badly in the opening exchanges.

He said it himself he didn't show up in the presser. Has a habit of not turning up for his biggest fights. Doesn't help that his grandmother is terminaly ill she took care of him his whole life so you have to feel for him.

Didn't realise about his grandmother. Missed the presser. Heard he said he didn't show up. Just guessed it was another example of a fighter making excuses. The first few shots from RDA especially the knee landed pretty hard. I'm not sure he got a chance to show up.

Yeah 100% he took that liver shot and it was game over, that's what started the beginning of the end but he just didn't look with it at all!

He's ranked 8th now. Sounds about right to me, or actually 7th. Can't see how he is top 5.

Rafael dos Anjos, Pettis, Nurmagomedov, Ferguson, Cerrone and Alvarez are all better imo. Barboza arguable so.

Diaz V Conor isn't a superfight. They might decide to make it, but RDA v Conor is the only one that deserves to be called a superfight.

I'm not sure he got a chance to show up.
Agree. He's a slow starter, always is, and RDA blasted him. Conor would do the same.

Have to disagree on alavarez compleatly. He should be 0-3 in his last 3, he won two dodge split decisions v chandler and melendez & was beaten easily by Cerrone. It's make or break v Pettis imo he needs to show something. 100% hasn't warranted his spot on the rankings. Others are all fish enough. Not including RDA I'd have Diaz at 5/6

Have to agree with you. RDA, Cerrone, Pettis, Ferguson and Khabib top 5 (not necessarily in that order). Diaz surely slots in at 6. I don't rate Alvarez either. I think Diaz would pick him apart.

Pettis has to show something? The lightbelt belt wasn't enough? Jesus, tough crowd tonight.

But it's still only 1 or 2 places high than I had. Hardly massive.
