145 - 155 is some mess trying to sort out what fights to make, the options they have is incredible, all thanks to a kid from Crumlin.

Why can't more UFC events be over this early?

RDA is the definition of power and speed - we all know what beats it

I still think Frankie deserves his shot at the 145 title before Conor even considers fighting for the 155 strap.

Conor vs Cowboy was the "money" fight from a promotional point of view. That's dead now.

Give Frankie the fight he was promised and then work from there.

I love Frankie but I think Conor will beat him. I can't say the same for Conor vs RDA.

If Conor gets as big as RDA, it's safe to say he will never go back down to lightweight. It's easy to put more weight on to go up a division, but it's another story altogether coming back down a division. If he loses to RDA, Joe Silva will have his work cut out for him making the next Conor fight IMO, Pettis might be the only option.

Because most events are on the the West Coast (Vegas).

This was on in Florida (5 hours behind us compared to 8 in Vegas)

What you mean? Conor wont be putting on weight to fight at LW.

He'll still be cutting alot of weight. Just not as much as usual.

He'll be putting on more muscle. You're kidding yourself if you think his move to LW is just an easier cut, he has to get bigger and stronger to compete with these guys. Skill only gets you so far, you need power too.

Hey, what would you know? You only train with him!

I'm sure its something he would have factored into his decision making. He has said himself it would be an easier cut for him.

And it will be an easier cut, there's just a bit more to it than that. Ricky Hatton the boxer spoke in the past about moving up a weight division and how much more powerful the guys were than he's used to, so imagine what it's like in MMA when they can grapple with you. He trains with Gunni who's a big enough dude compared to him so he'll be well adjusted to it, but he absolutely needs to bulk up because he's going to be an average sized LW compared to a big FW.

I know what you mean but given his natural size, power and strength, I dont think he needs to do too much in the way of bulking up or putting on muscle mass.

If he were to be successful in a LW title fight with RDA I think he could move between the two weight classes with few or no major issues for maybe a handful of fights perhaps before he has to commit solely to LW having achieved his goals at FW.

Good win for RDA. Cerrone is so bad in the big fights though. Been a constant in his career. Looks fantastic and then under performs in the big ones.

RDA looked great but he comes in really wild. Luckily for him Cerrone is always terrible when put under pressure. Always has been. There is certainly holes there for a counter puncher of Conor's quality to exploit.

His gas tank v pettis is one of the most incredible things ive ever seen,I couldnt see him trouble conor standing but if he done a pettis job it would be tough for Conor beating that type of relentless pressure 25 mins his grappling is backround and supposed strength, again so was Aldos

RDA's improvement has been incredible for the scrubbers he used to lose to.

They were at the end of each fight in the interviews. One from RDA, one from Nate and one from Oliviera..nothing much in them.

Cowboy is the biggest loser tonight,Id say he let potential fight with Conor add to the pressure already on him to just win tonight, same with mendes last week, loss puts them in ****ty spots.

    post fight presser -

Fair enough that RDA isn't begging for the McGregor payday.

But come on, he is already proving already to be a boring build up.

    Cerrone is a broken man.

edit - looked like he was going to cry there. Pity he didn't stand up tonight.

Massive pressure on him trying to win a belt for his grandmother whose terminally ill, that added to normal fight nerves that he gets bad,and add on future super fight with Conor, cant blame him not being on form but either way RDA is more skilled and would beat him reguardless.

Met him last week, nice guy.

Looks like he is destined to be a Mendes.

Yep thats the fight game, not everybody can be a champion,he will find it hard now to get back in the run for a title shot at that weight class.

Id like to see Diaz v Ferguson now.
