Well that's not very good to hear.
My grandmother had one for years and it didn't cause any trouble until she crashed it into a brick wall and wrote it off. Actually just thinking of it now you never see them on the roads anymore compared to a few years back. Well wear either way I'm sure you'll make it you own and do a few interesting things to it
I'll always be found of them because of the memories I used to clean it for her when I younger and all. Cars like that sparked my interest.
Actually also one crashed into the rear of my mothers Santa Fe in 2009 ish a few scratches on the bumper of the Santa Fe the escort both headlights broke bonnet bent back so far it broke the window bumper broke into bits and fell apart. Radiator leaked all over the road. It was mad to see the difference between the two but in reality he just hit right on the strongest part of the bumper. In other words just don't hit a Santa Fe and you'll be fine 0 -

As promised
I was searching for an s2000 for a while and seen this so I said may as well have a look at it. Fell in love with it straight away. 2002 DC5 with only 110k kms on it and nearly completely standard bar spoon lowering springs, aem v2 induction kit and a few gauges which I will be removing.
Have nearly covered 400kms since collecting it and its a lovely car to drive and surprisingly comfortable.
Plans for it
Fitted recaro seat covers
Good tires on the rear
Take out the gauges
Spoon gear knob

Oh they can embarrass a fair few more powerful cars on a backroad alright. Very nearly upgraded my DC2 for one(same colour toochriity139 wrote: »Cant get over how well it handles. Never drove a dc2, can imagine they are a great car to drive though. Petrol wise they dont use as much as everyone said once taking easy which is hard but I am managing to resist
Wonder if I painted the red R a different colour would they just not bother about the car haha. They are rare enough I only know one thats fairly close to me. Use to be loads of them. They are either locked up or crashed0 -

Good lord don't let them hear you say that around here!!!!! The 5 series is regarded as a fantastic handling car on this forum and they most certainly will be cross that a fwd car is better!
I've never driven a DC5 but would love to at some stage. Hope you enjoy it 0 -
