One to look out for for tomorrow

    Flight Number : FR316
    Route : DUB - RVN
    Aircraft : EI-SEV Boeing 737-700
    Departure time : 10:30

EI3709 BHX-ORK holding at Cork due to winds out of limits.

Current wind 250 degrees 19knots gusting 31knots, just 2 knots outside the limit for stobart. They are hopeful the wind will drop to the forecast winds.

Just as I speak, the gust drops to 27knots, now within limits.

EIN82Y (EI823) breaking off the approach to 17 at Cork, climbing to 4,000ft looks as if it's going to join the ROVAL hold. EIN715 (EI715) inbound behind maintaining 5,000ft. https://www.flightradar24.com/EIN82Y/845d818

I think there was a Stobart departing at around the same time, maybe they weren't ready.

I'd be sceptical of that, its very possible that RVR's went below 300m temporarily.

Here something Peculiar I noticed at LHR,

Aircraft are departing on RWY 27 R and arriving on RWY 27 L.
BA268 landed on RWY 27R just there though, at first I just thought it was an error and the radar was placing it somewhere it wasn't, but infact it landed right on the runway line and taxied on the exact taxiways flightradar have listed. All departures were also holding short of the Runway too, until it landed. Happened to be EI385.

    Arrivals continue on RWY 27L

By any chance was it an A380? If so, landing it on the departing runway doesn't screw up arrival spacing due to extra wake turbulence separation. I've seen that done quite a few times in LHR.

Your very welcome, I thought you were very knowledgeable but since you thought Monkeynuts question was interesting you're obviously another thick c€€t like so many on here

Affirm it was, but isn't mixed use of the runways forbidden at Heathrow?

Nope, just reduced as much as possible unless operationally required.

Nope, it happens quite often actually. Particularly at busy times they will often bring in a few aircraft on the 'departure runway' to ease congestion, as long as it doesn't delay departures

Is it any wonder the regular experienced contributors to this forum don't be on here much when your comment is an example of whats said here. The poster asked a simple question, among the aviation professionals on this forum are also inexperienced people and aviation enthusiasts who are eager to learn. The forum is for information sharing and the imparting of knowledge from experienced people, and I'm sure those who are inexperienced appreciate it, or at least they should do.

FR2 / RYR2 flying along the east coast now. Is it some kind of Ryanair private jet?

Just a side-note on the above, I have a good interest in aviation but nearly zero knowledge on it so i find this forum very informative!

RYR1 and 2 are Lear jets the engineers use to get to problems around Europe.

    RYR1 is for engineering

RYR2 is for management for meetings around Europe.

737-700 is for commercial, training and private use

Nice one, named after Vladimir Kokkinaki, chief test pilot with Illyushin from the 1930's to the mid 60's.

Just heard it there basically over the house. Great rumble off it even at 33,000 feet!

Yeah, heard it too. The Emirates 777 is quieter at 10,000 Ft going over here than that thing flying three times higher. Unique sounding bird!

There appears to be a Cathay Pacific 747-8 in Shannon this morning, "diverted" from Frankfurt, even though someone on Shannon Spotters knew last night that it was coming  ...

    http://www.flightradar24.com/flight/cx37

    2015-12-17
Dubai (DWC) Frankfurt (FRA) B748 (B-LJL) 05:15 AM GST 12:54 AM 09:45 AM CET Diverted to SNN

Wasnt diverted anyway, you don't divert to an airport two hours extra on the planned destination.

The comment on the Shannon Spotters was for the 747 yesterday morning, not that one.
