I can see him going back to Texas to the Cowboys for a mid to low draft pick. Perfect fit, and Jones was always high in him. His f u attitude could even fly down there.

I can't see any other organization seeing whats happened in Cleveland and a gm thinking Manziel is going to be "my guy"

And that right there is why Dallas went to **** once Jimmy Johnson left and have been since my only fear is that Stephen Jones actually seems to have a head on his shoulders

Ravens will be missing Steve Smith next year - unless Perriman proves to be elite think they will need to draft wr heavy to compete for playoffs etc

Secondary, rusher, receiver all weekend long.

His rant about deflate gate is great as well

He goes on rants about the Pats being unfairly targeted on a weekly basis. Makes some goods points, but he's hilarious regardless. His last Monday Morning Podcast was fairly decent.

    From Reddit:
    Look at the refs

Look how they throw flags at you

    And everything you do

    Yeah they were all yellow

    And
When you try your best, but you don't succeed

When you draft what you want, but not what you need

When your ****ty head coach is Mike Petttineeeeee

    You are the Cleveeeeelandddddd Brownssssss

    :D

last night certainly was Weird,Wacky and Awesome...unless you're a Lions fan that is..The great thing is that a team can look down and out with only minutes left and yet still win!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,166 ✭✭✭Beefy78

But it wasn't even that they were down and out with minutes left. From the first kick there only looked like one winner and that didn't change until the ball was in the air and heading straight into Richard Rodgers' hands. Absolutely incredible.

To make it worse that play is designed for adams to get and rodgers to box out

Genuine Cleveland Browns fan here, From Dublin but married to a Clevelander and living in the US now, the Browns are a religion for most people in North East Ohio. The fans are amazing, they turn out for their team week in week out and love them despite the browns breaking their hearts on a weekly basis.

With that sort of fanbase it was easy for me to jump on board when I met my now wife but oh my God I had no idea just what I was signing up for, they really really stink. Everygame goes one of two ways, either they are demolished and the game is over befroe the second quarter is finished or they some how manage to hang on and then self destruct in the fourth.

For the last two years all the talk has been about Johnny but for me the real issue is Pettine. His record is abysmal and whilst he doesn't have the best playing personnel in the league they are still way under achieving. One of the biggest problems plaguing the browns are an absurd number of penalties, usually completely unnecessary and often at crucial moments in the game. That is a coach's responsibility.

He also behaves as if he is entirely unaffected by the teams performances and results, stoical isn't the word of this guy, he is a stonewall but that pi$$es people off, I'm starting to feel he doesn't care. Its also been obvious that he simply doesn't care for Johnny, I felt his treatment of him earlier in the season was poor and the relationship broke down at that point. Johnny is a difficult problem to solve but I feel that better coaching could have prevented a lot of these issues before they ever came up.

I watch the games with a very dedicated bunch of Browns Backers in a bar here in NYC most Sundays and for them the season was over by week 4, in fact they don't really think of it in terms of a season, its just a series of games and every first down is a victory worth celebrating, I'm not even kidding.

My big hope for next year is that Pettine gets the boot and Johnny stays and does better under a new coach. the Browns really need a marquee player to turn the franchise around and I think that could be Johnny. If he gave them a winning season he'd never buy another drink in Cleveland.;)

Fingers crossed for this afternoon, I'm pretty sure the Bengals will do some damage today though.

I reckon supporting the Brown's has to be done on faith alright. Pretty sure you couldn't support them otherwise:p. Johnny seems more trouble than he is worth to me. I don't even the end pay off if you got his head screwed on straight is that big. Maybe given the reaction of some ofriends some of those fans he might end up being deemed a success. I could see him giving you a winning season if he got a half decent cast around him but I would much rather damn near any other starting QB in the league compared to him. Not even sure who I would have below him. Either I agree on the coaching and some other elements could do with improving first.

The team actually responded better to Johnny in the one start he has had this season, certainly Austn Davis failed to get any reaction from them. I fully expected Pettine to be fired n Monday after Sunday's record loss but instead Johnny was announced as starter so it's clear A conversation was had. Johnny has to start the rest f the games just so we have some idea f he is even worth persevering with.

    Bill Burr on Russell Wilson
I hear he called timeout last week just to help an old woman get back to her chair in the upper level

    :pac:

i would agree on that. At this point you may as well give him a good shot at it. My comment was that I would prefer to have the QB from a different team if I was the Browns, Davis isn't the solution either. Unfortunately as is you can't just go and take Phillip Rivers or even Blake Bortles so you may as well see if Johnny is worth keeping. Even if he wasn't then I would nearly want to fix some other parts of the team first and let Johnny keep the QB seat warm.

for and fletcher cox fans heres 11 of his 14 pressures vs the pats (warning lots of gifs) also on the interception notice him going out of his way to not put his shoulder through bradys knee can't imagine you would see that out of some of the other defensive "leaders" in the nfc east

We prob should have double/triple/quadrupled/tasered him.

Haven't seen much of him all season but from what I've read tho, people are saying he should be hands down the Defensive Player of the Year but he just doesn't have the hype.

im not sure about defensive player of the year iv not seen enough of guys like honey badger but he's been pretty incredible double teaming him does nothing really he's to big and quick but he's not been getting many sacks i have to believe he's by far top of the league in pressures though

Mathieu still has my vote. It's incredible how he's just always around the ball - usually outstanding defensive backs are overlooked because QBs avoid them, but Mathieu is so quick and so smart that he always knows where to be, whether its a running play or passing play. He's crazy good, and having a very similar year to that freak year he had at LSU.

ya what iv seen of him he seems to be having an unbelievable year he's some player. I really though he would be a bust out of college or at the very least an average player but he's a stud i hope he gets votes but i fear jj watt will get it off the reputation at this stage (not that he's having a bad year himself)

    Watt fully deserves it.

Kuechly's got DPOY down, barring either missing most of the rest of the season with injury, and complete and utter breakdown in his quality of play, or most likely... losing out on votes because of his team mate Josh Norman.

Cox is the third best defensive lineman for me, after Watt and Donald.

He is outstanding, to be fair,

Big big win for the Browns today (they are all big wins for the Browns.) the actually dominated and Johnny had a great game.

He made a few mistakes but he led the team and they played for him. I'm sure the locker room has been told or realized that there will be a major clear out at the end of the season and that putting in some good performances wouldn't do any harm if they want to have a job next Autumn.
