So relatives are asking me what I want for christmas and I can't think of anything. Any ideas? Thinking perhaps a small socket set just to have a spare? First world problems :o

This is the first Christmas ever I don't have a list of stuff I want. I think the parents are still in shock they've asked me about 10 times. A few books are about as much as I've wanted. I suppose I could ask for some car stuff. It must be a sign that I'm finally grown up :)

One of those Haynes engines you build yourself and then can turn on. :)

Was thinking of buying one of them myself.

Trying to decide if I'd ever find the time to do it is another thing.

More car shopping fun. Called about a Polo which looked good. The person on the phone said he has no car for sale. Someone put it up on DoneDeal as a prank to get his phone number.

I think I managed to break some old bollox on the M50 roundaboy today.

Managed to accidentally block a lane on one of the exits because loltraffic and the twit just sat on the ****ing horn. So rather than bother to try and eke a foot forward, I sat there for a good minute waiting for the car in front of me to move, just because he ****ing annoyed me...

    I sat there.

And watched him blow a fuse.

I might've moved if you'd been less of a twat about it, but instead I hope those backfires scorched the paint on your bumper you muppet. You shouldn't have been that close to me in the first place...

Brought the focus home after near a week in the garage. Repositioned the anti roll bar, put 2 new bushings in that, new brake pads on the front, new bushings on either of the wishbones. Retracked it again also. I didnt drive it far, but I think its back in action.

How much did that set you back, Noccy?

Yeah but 3 lefts do so keep on truckin! :pac:

Traffic has gone mental lately, definitely the worst I've ever seen it. And it's not just the usual gridlock, it's pure volume on the m50 and pretty much every single exit off it North and South. Id well believe it when reports are that traffic is at "tiger levels" whatever they were

You may get yourself a nice mk2.5 /3 focus titanium 2.0 tdci that one is cursed :pac: ah no hopefully you have it sorted and it won't cause anymore trouble for the next while at least.

Sure I've rebuilt the whole front end on my focus, and no it wasn't crashed (touch wood). When you repair something on the suspension it has a knock on effect with everything else. Once all the right parts are replaced it should be alright.

That phioc do ride thing is still happening, episode 12!

An old Yaris, an old 323 and an old Corolla.

Must be hard to find gaeilgeors with decent cars.

I looked up there and my with my focus I had to replace 2 rear axle bushes, front wishbone bushes and track rods on both sides @ 113k km. I remember the mechanic saying the mk2 focus just eats through various suspension parts he should me the play In them and the track rod ends were very bad it was only the tip of the ice berg with that yoke the length of the list in a year.

It was the only thing I ever had I had to replace suspension parts on although I won't be suprised if the Megane needs something at its next service.

Saw/heard an e60 V10 M5 this morning. It sounds like a bloody space ship driving past. What an awesome car. There's one I see the odd time in my estate actually. Must go for a mooch and see if I can find where it lives!

What is the actual concept of the shows from the few times it's been shown on here it seems there is always early 2000s standard cars.I mean a Yaris, 323, Corolla and it's about cars. Nothing wrong with them cars or anything but I just don't get it.
