Read my quote again and get back to me. Don't tell me how to play the game please..

Ah dude chill. I'm only kiddin. Each to their own.

Personally for me it's the challenge/frustration that keeps me playing.

Knowing that someone has had to pass the level or seeing only a small % of people have passed it makes me kick back and keep going and going.

A couple of levels on here had me so frustrated I had to stop and come back to them. Maybe it's the ocd coming out in me but unless I think the level is just trolling I keep at.

Also 179 hours seriously fair play. Some serious dedication here to this game.

I wish I had 179 hours to put into a game.

Destiny I've had since launch last September and I've done just over 200 hours which is the most I've put into any game in recent memory but bear in mind that's in over a year.

Yeah, there's a fine line between what's challenging and what's just frustrating. I know I pushed that line (albeit unintentionally!) with some of my levels. Those spinning fire things in particular, they seem to initiate differently to how I set them up, so what should give a small window of opportunity comes down to them starting in position whenever they come onto/near the screen, so can go out of sync with the ones they're meant to go in tandem with!

Need to play/create more, not been playing in a while now!

I'd there any way to search for a level by text?

I saw a Final Fantasy themed level as one of the suggestions which scroll along the bottom and I pressed the wrong button!

I'm like yourself I look for the tough levels, the simple ones get boring after a while no matter how creative they are.
I haven't played a game that held my interest for this long since I was a chizzler with a snes. I haven't checked in a while but I'd say I'm at about 140hrs at this stage. The only reason I can put so much time in is due to off screen play.

P.s if you like tough levels I've a few which will challenge you, yet not trolling, well not purposely anyway;-)

I also didn't find expert to be too bad I came across one or two levels which were troll material but most of them are just hard levels.

So you like me making hard levels such as: ?

    *Bowser's Twin
    *Secret Pipe or Door?
    *League of Decisions 2
    *Inferno

Btw, can you tell me what is so hard about "Star World" by me? I find it one of the easiest levels ever. Plzz

My favourite tougher levels are to do with skill.

The puzzle ones aren't really my thing.

Yeah I am very proud of my levels, especially

    Bowser's Twin
    Secret Pipe and Door
League of Decisions (1 and 2)
    One Way or Another
    Star World
    Sub-Area Village
    Ghost Paradise

Ghost Paradise & Sub-Area Village are my favourites! Come on, you can't argue with me because of how good they are :P:cool:

I just played it their. It is probably easy for you because you know you have to carry the spring through the pipe but if you don't know that and get stuck that can annoy people. Its not hard but its very random and its luck if you find out where you are going.

Nintendo have uploaded 2 more levels in the Event Courses that will unlock 2 more 8 bit costumes.

This will be an after Christmas purchase I think, just out of interest, are the level downloads big on average (presume it varies depending on scale of level).

I'm using mobile data and can't play splatoon at all but have faced no issues with Maker. Don't wait, get it now! Save yourself from watching Chelsea.

Hehe. I would buy it, but kids haven't had their Wii U yet, it's a Christmas present. Big hope, if they get Christmas money and want it, they might buy it themselves!

Sorry for going off topic of levels, I should have posted in the other mario maker thread.

Edit: thanks for moving to correct thread!

After the reading the horror people have been going through with Expert 100 Mario Challenge here I read up on it myself before attempting it and just finished with 55 lives left!

There's no denying it's a broken mode, but here are some tips I learned for people looking to suffer through it to unlock the costumes:
    • Hold select as each level starts up. This helps you to see if there is an insta-kill enemy placed directly above or beside Mario, and lets you automatically skip a level if you don't like what you see.
    • Pause right away, and if a level has a ratio of less than 1 Star for every 10 players, skip it. Don't even attempt it. Skip it. Levels with high Star to Player ratios tend to be ones people were able to complete.
    • Many people believe skipping costs a life each time - it doesn't. Keep skipping until you find a level you feel might be worth using lives on. If a level starts off ok but then you come across something ridiculous, don't waste a life attempting it. Skip it.
    • I haven't found an example of this yet, but some creators hide secret shortcuts like vines or invincibility stars in invisible blocks at the start of their levels so that they can easily complete them to upload. Worth a check if the start of the level is safe.
    • If you do manage to complete a level, Star it. It'll let other people know it's doable.

    Good luck! ;)
