I think Seattle will win an ugly game. Don't rate Gabbert at all really, did well against the Falcons but they have zero pass rush. Seahawks have a good pass rush so will see how he deals with that. His main issue in Jacksonville has dealing with pressure and the Falcons will give him plenty of that.

Carlos Hyde is out so can't expect much from the running game. On the other side of the ball I can see Seattle doing just enough to keep the scoreboard ticking over, could see something like Seattle 24 San Francisco 10.

I'm heading over to Chicago for the 49ers/Bears, I'm hoping we can get something together by then but not very confident.

Chicago seem to have found a groove of late and could be in a playoff picture come then. Might be an interesting game. Need some sort of run game, I though with the injuries they would have given Hayne a fair crack of the whip but they don't seem to be up for it.

Chicago's draft is turning out fairly nicely, and they haven't even gotten White on the field yet.

I was shocked two weeks ago that nobody was giving Chicago a hope against San Diego, thought we'd win that. Now we're facing the best D in the league and a team that hammered seven shades of sh1t out of Green Bay and everyone is tipping us to win, including the bookies.

That makes me very nervous. There's a lot on the line for both these teams this week, in terms of playoffs and in terms of personal storylines (Fox, Gase, Cutler, and of course Osweiler and Manning too). Gase wasn't given much credit for his time at the Broncos, most people said he had benefitted from having Manning. He is, I think all the Bears fans would agree, the best OC we've had in many, many years, and he has the whole machine humming very nicely now. It's not just that Cutler is better under him (151 QB rating last week), it's that he seems to be trusted to play his game, the playbook opens up more receiving options (ie not just Jeffery, Forte, Bennett, Marshall) and he trusts the lower depth chart guys (Miller, Langford, Wilson etc). The up-tempo offense, the off-balance play-calling, the quality of the running game, are all massive steps up. We have one four of our last six games and lost the other two by a total of six points.

BUT, we have not once managed to beat a top level D this year. Our own D is doing great things under Fangio, but there's still a talent deficit, and Osweiler is an unknown at this stage obviously. So to me, however well Chicago have been doing, this weekend is another massive step up on the week before. I think we're a team nobody wants to play but still a team most playoff-bound teams should be expecting to beat.

Hope I'm wrong but I think we lose another nail-biter.

Colin Kaepernick placed on injured reserve. If he wasn't done in SF before he is now.

I'd be suspicious there is any injury, jut want rid of him and ensure he doesn't pick up an injury leading into next season potentially impacting his trade value. His salary is guaranteed for injury so if he does get an injury he'd need to be paid his 2016 salary.

Strange decision, hard to see how he could have gotten a season ending injury on the bye week.

He's apparently asked for surgery on his non-throwing shoulder.

I think most 9ers fans are wondering if that's the shoulder that's the problem.

If he's not fully recovered (and able to pass a medical) by April 1st the 49ers will be on the hook for his 2016 salary, if is healthy at that point he can be cut or traded without penalty.

As a Giants fan, this is glorious.

BB is going to swoop in and in 5 years a tearful coples will be giving a interview while holding the Lombardi trophy telling us how BB and MR Kraft changed his life and it was a fitting way for TB to retire.

Chandler Jones was picked 5 picks after him

Would love for him to fall down the waivers to the Giants. Think he'll be a lot better as a 4-3 DE.

Be shocked if he does fall, though. Lions will probably snag him.

IDK if anybody is going to claim him as you'd have to take on his rookie contract, if its expensive, it may not be.

He'll no doubt end up with the Bills.

Have to admit that Cam has grown on me massively over the last 2 years, he is always himself & none of the holier than thou shtick that some others rely on.

    Joel Corry
    @corryjoel
Claiming Quinton Coples off waivers costs a fully GTD $534,840 this year & includes taking his $7.751M 2016 option year GTD for injury now.

    I'd bet he clears waivers

Just read that the Ravens have 58% of their salary cap either on IR or playing football elsewhere. Pretty cool statistic, though I'm sure Paully could think of other words to describe it!

He his without doubt a 4-3 DE, I think thats the main reason he was cut. Just wasn't very good at the OLB position and not big enough to play on a 3-4 line. The Jets 2012 draft class looks like a real thing of beauty:rolleyes:
    Quinton Coples (gone)
    Stephen Hill (gone)
Demario Davis (still around but one of the worst linebackers in the league)
    Josh Bush (gone)
    Terrance Ganaway (gone)
    Robert T. Griffin (gone)
    Antonio Allen (IR)
    Jordan White (gone)

Cowboys Corey White and Christine Michael showed up for their flight to Tampa not wearing a suit, so the Cowboys cut them.

Its good that the Cowboys take a stand for professionalism. Their leader Greg Hardy must have been disgusted by their behavior.

They really are a despicable organisation led by a world class arsehole. The collapse of their season has been tremendous craic. Romo I'd pretty likeable so the fact that the collapse is directly because he hasn't been involved is great.

For me, Romo is the only likable thing about that franchise. Just a pity he plays for them,
