A couple of times Micks garage didn't have the part I ordered so they rang me and asked me was it ok if they sent out a more expensive part out,no extra charge.
Customer Service seems to be top notch!

Thats pretty decent. Mr auto it seems will send inferior brands on the sly. Micks wanted €68 each for the arms think they were febi. Local mf wanted €60 for meyle and mr auto was only €32 for lemforder so I suppose you take a chance with them and hopefully it works out.

Someone said earlier that you should check stock before ordering, it said in stock ready to ship so not much else you can check in fairness.

    That was me!
I'm going by the contact I have had with a guy in customer service at Mister Auto( I can't think of his name offhand).
He told me the website would not be up to date and ask before you order to get a more up to date answer.

Btw, I personally wouldn't use the Febi-Bilstein arms.
    Had them once.
I have used lemforder and Meyle HD too.
Meyle HD would probably be my first choice!

I normally only get lemforder or possibly trw. Most lemforder arms I've got from mr auto in the past you could see where the marque had been ground off.

I'll give the febis a shot this time and see what they're made of.

If it's a couple of top arms I suppose they are worth a go for the price.

I done the full set before and I found the ride a bit rough afterwards.

I reckon the lower arms were the biggest culprits.

So I got my order today, a full 20 days after I placed it. I ordered lemforder and they sent febi apparently.

I wasn't in when the courier called so a neighbour took it. Imagine my surprise when I get a huge box when I only ordered 2 arms and 4 wheel bolts. Open the box and they sent me 2 moog peugeot/citroen wishbones!!!!!! and only 2 of the 4 wheel bolts.

It took them 20 days to figure out they had no lemforder so decided to sent febi but actually then to send a completely different part.

You really couldn't make this **** up.

I have found this company quite good until a recent incident. I was sent an ABS sensor which turned out to be faulty. They said they would forward a replacement and asked me to return the faulty unit. As it meant that I would have to remove it and thus be without no sensor at all I was hoping that the replacement would arrive before returning the faulty unit. For a whole week I was given the run-around telling me that the warehouse was searching for the part. Eventually they told me they would send out the part a week ago even if they did not receive the faulty unit back. Since then their website shows "parcel ready for despatch". Still no sign of the part. I eventually got a VW one and all is ok now. They simply did not trust me to return the part. I also purchased a wheel hub and was charged considerably more than I could have bought it on eBay.

As for asking for a copy of one's passport I would tell them where to go. If you pay by PayPal they are guaranteed their money!

I will NEVER but anything off these crowd again.

    Avoid them at all costs.
Delivery causes nothing but inconvenience and hassle.
    Very bad complaints department.
Had to reschedule a job twice because the part never came.
They didn't put the shipping code on the weigh bill and my part travelled everywhere apart from where it was supposed too.
    AVOID!

    Hi lads,

    Anyone used them before?

Great prices for what I'm looking at.

Fuel filter for the van is €32 plus vat in the local motor factors....here it's €14.

    Worth a shot?
Yes,they're OK,for me anyway, all my orders came on time, issues once with wrong spec brake pads, but sorted it,prices reasonable in general, especially in comparison to local car places, even paying for postage, I saved on oil brakes, spark plugs rtc

I find them great, once you don't need the stuff tomorrow.
Delivery is slow and a bit random, but the prices make up for it.

high percentage of incorrect deliveries. Still I've had quality stuff from them for great prices.
You would want to allow 2 weeks for delivery and also allow for possibility of wrong delivery, sensing back and out again.
So if scheduling a service item, buy the stuff 6 weeks ahead and all is good. If it's something you need for this weekend, buy elsewhere.

I bought a set of wiper blades for someone on that site recently. They were a bit slow arriving but were perfect (Bosch).

The value was very good indeed.

thats what I do, order stuff like control arms and brake discs that are getting changed at the next service 2 months away. some of the stuff is half price, worth a bit of hassle.

last thing I got was oil, filters and spark plugs to show my son how to service his (field) car. took 2 weeks but the whole lot inc. shipping was less than 40 quid.

Thought that day was long over :)

Good to see field cars are still going!

When 166man was in the bmw in mondello with me, he asked where i learned my car control. . . .

    Field cars :)

Do not use this company for parts if Your N.C.T. is due in the next 3 months. Not Irish. I am waiting now 2 weeks for my order seems goods come from all over Europe. Waiting Waiting 2 weeks to N.C.T. 2 weeks lost to get car ready. Never mr auto.ie again for parts.

did you join boards just to come on and resurrect an old thread just to give out ?

ive used them loads of times never had any hassle longest i waited was 10 days which for an internet company isnt excessive . they have always been substantially cheaper and had better selection than most aswell .

I have had good experiences with them, no problems with returns, last time I returned a set of brake discs and free postage!
Yes they take a week or so to get here but thats a part of the low price.
I had worse dealings with the biggest Irish parts dealer that sent me wrong parts and wouldn't allow me to return them.
    Taking the Mick.
