Got some lemforder control arms off them for about half the price of elsewhere, all unopened and genuine. Got trw brake lines aswell for next to nothing, unopened and genuine.

Im a bit shocked by the stories here, my 3 purchases went very smooth. The only snag is the 3 day shipping from france, I think you can get next day for a bit more.

Cheap as chips for good brands so im very happy with them so far.

I ordered lemforder arms aswell but half the arms they sent were Febi-Bilstein.
They said the reason they sent the cheaper ones was they didn't want me to be without my car.

That's the only issue I've had with them and it did take over a week to get a refund but I would still use them again.

Sorry to resurrect this, but bloody hell!, they did the exact same thing to me. Have sent an email now but i imagine i will have to follow up with a phone call. Is it difficult to get them to sort out missing items?

They did send out the correct order after calling them. They actually sent 2 further discs meaning 3 in total.
I used them again recently for wiper blades. When they arrived they were for left hand drive. Called them and they refunded the money without question and told me to keep the wipers.
In short, they are not worth the hassle specially given the slow delivery.

Balls! I ordered wipers too. Didn't occur to me to check that they were right hand as it was an irish portal i was ordering through although i now know they shipped from France. Will check this evening. TBH, i am so annoyed with them i might just send the whole lot back.

The sending of cheaper parts than ordered seems to be a common ploy of theirs by reading this thread. If i wanted cheaper parts i would have ordered them!

Another update: They sent me the wrong wipers also just like mickdw. Seriously incompetent service. I questioned the disc situation and they are disputing saying the package may have been opened or tampered with - as if someone is going to steal one disc and leave the other!

Hopefully i can resolve the issues and get at least some partial refunds but i will never use this crowd again. I should have taken the hit and just gone with a more expensive provider likes micksgarage who at least would actually supply what was ordered

New update: Like Mickdw above, they are now processing another brake disc which they do not have in stock so could be next week before they send the item out! They also will refund the wipers without having to ship them back which is something. They tried to bribe me into repeat business by offering free shipping for my next order but i genuinely would not go through the pain of ordering from them again.

The fact that Mickdw had the exact same experience means this is most likely a common practice with them

My experience is documented in this thread here.

Lure you in with the promise of TRW and Lemforder but give you cheap crap instead. Are they still promising 48 hour delivery too? Once bitten...

Yep, 48 hours promised. Waiting over a week and then arrived with wrong wipers, cheaper filters than ordered and 1 brake disc missing. Will probably take another 2 weeks to get the missing disc as they have none is stock and have to order from their supplier first.

Will never use them again despite the fact i have free shipping for the next order.

That is gas. Same experience as mine. How do they make any money? Surely the process of supplying right hand drive parts to Ireland can be automated.

Im guessing 2 discs will arrived next week leaving you with a spare.

At this stage i wouldn't be surprised if they sent me a box of bananas in lieu of the brake disc. You are right though, they must lose a serious amount of money on order error. They seem to have seriously bad quality control in their fulfillment processes.

Final update - got 2 new brake discs a month after my original order. Now i have 3 brake discs despite ordering 2! Exact same scenario as Mickdw.

This crowd are laughable and i will never use again. A whole month to get the order almost right and a refund required on LHD wipers for a different model car.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,216 ✭✭✭pcardin

Used them a number of times, always compare theire pricing with Micksgarage, sometimes they win sometimes Mick wins. Mister sends all parts from France I think (that explains problems others experienced with LHD wipers), usually takes week. Mick is nearly always next day delivery which I prefer better + Mick is free delivery, Mister is €7 or so.

Ive ordered belt puley , two filters. Ordered express delivery .... next day delyvery, ok, ive ordered yestarday after lunch, so assume this morning was processed, so i am expecting receive tommorow, so .... will see , will see....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 189 ✭✭ned14

I've ordered brake pads and discs from them on 2 occasions. The only problem I had was that I ordered the wrong diameter discs the first time. Contacted them, they collected and refunded pretty quickly. Aside from that, I've had zero problems and will use them again!

I have had issues with suppliers here supplying LHD stuff, I ordered a cabin filter from Micks for my car, they sent one for a LHD model.
Sent it back at my expense and got refunded but I shouldn't have to pay return postage IMO.
Ordered stuff from Mister and got what I wanted no hassles.
I will say that if you tick the 2.95 guarantee from Mister you can send stuff back for free which is pretty good.
Better in fact than Micks, which costs you no matter if its their fault.

Not a chance you will receive them tomorrow. I used next day delivery and took nearly a week for the first delivery including a very long dispatch time

Now if only we had the same car, we would have a spare set of discs between us.

I did a bit of doctoring on them and fitted them also. I turned around the aero spoiler on them and they are fine. I thought at speed if I didn't turn the spoiler around that they would be jumpy on the screen.

I thought so too, but they were ok. Seeing this thread, it reminded me and I doctored them today

    Hey all, good thread.

Just to let ye know I am involved in the car parts game & I just wanted to share my knowledge on misterauto

They are a French car parts wholesaler with websites all over Europe using the countries domain. They only warehouse they have is based in France but use the countries address for a business point.

Over 60-70% of the items on their website they don't actually carry in stock and just rely on the manufacture of the parts in that France to source them. Example Bosch & KYB have factories in France where they source the parts hence the crazy low prices they sometimes offer.

Used them once..Never again.. Balls of and experience form start to finish.. 48 hours my A**E, Was waiting nearly 2 weeks for my order, then guess what, it was wrong. They sent 2 air filters I didn't order and didn't send the oil filter I needed. Im waiting nearly another 2 weeks for the correct filter to arrive, still no sign.. Joke of a company

The only thing I will say is if you were arranging a maintenance task about 2 months in advance as a diyer, they could work out. They do have genuine parts very cheap.

So I finally got snagged by incompetence by mr auto. I ordered 2 lemforder arms for a 97 A4 on the 22/8. 3 emails later asking for an update and today 04/9 they ship febi arms! The lemforder arms had a green light for in stock and were a bargain at €32 each (they're the rear axle lower tie rod/control arm with the concentric bolts to set toe). New bolts/washers alone were €40 from audi:( so I was happy enough to get good arms for cheap after being robbed by audi for 2 bolts, nuts and washers.

They blamed a strike in the warehouse first for the delay but obviously they hadn't even got them. I'm gonna push hard for a part refund due to very poor service and lower quality parts being shipped and i'll update on what happens.

Same happened me a while back.
I just sent them back and got a refund a couple of days later.

Yeah, they usually don't have to be pushed for a refund. Best advice was given earlier in the thread. If you plan ahead for the service by at least a few weeks, then it won't be as annoying when / if the wrong item arrives as you have time to organise a refund and usually keep the part. Then you can either re-order from them or elsewhere.

Or you can contact them beforehand and see if the parts you want are available.

Most of the time the screws ups are because they have specific brand name parts listed as in stock on their site and what you recieve is for a different car. When you contact them, they'll be using a stock system that will tell them the same thing as you see on your screen.

So you want a specific part for a ford fiesta and they'll say yes np. 49 hr delivery. 1 week later, you'll prob still get the wrong part, despite calling in advance. They are terrible at this stuff. The only thing they actually have going for them is the stupid crazy cheap prices on some of the stuff. You can afford to take the risk if you have time and patience to deal with them as you can make a huge saving.

Micksgarage on the other hand are great for reliability and fairly cheap as well. So if the price difference wasn't much I'd use MicksGarage. If the price wasn't much diff between the online sites and a local motor factors, I'd use the motorfactors.

Interestingly enough, or not, I've ordered a load of stuff from mister auto and it's all been perfect. Only one item didn't had a delayed delivery. Find ecp are close on price, or cheaper, a lot of the time too though.

A couple of times Micks garage didn't have the part I ordered so they rang me and asked me was it ok if they sent out a more expensive part out,no extra charge.
Customer Service seems to be top notch!
