    Hi lads,

    Anyone used them before?

Great prices for what I'm looking at.

Fuel filter for the van is €32 plus vat in the local motor factors....here it's €14.

    Worth a shot?

I used them to buy shocks for a friend's Mazda 323F, the delivery was only €1 when I ordered, couldn't believe it! The stuff comes from France, it only took 3 days to arrive.
The items were exactly as described. So a thumbs up from me (except that it is sending business out of the country).

Prices seem good. I priced OE discs and pads and they were well cheaper than local factors
Be careful of brand you are buying though as you may not be comparing like with like.

Used them to get a wishbone for my picasso...€120 on micksgarage.ie...€56 with this lot.
As said took 3 days to deliver, rather than next day with micksgarage, but I think the wait was worth the extra delivery time.:)

    +1
Used them when postage was €1

    Faultless

Used them before no problems & ordered more stuff today, no complaints.

I use them the odd time for certain parts. As above you need to be careful with the brand of parts to make sure you are comparing like with like.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,720 ✭✭✭Hal1

I have used them and it wasn't good. Parts were missing, box was damaged poorly packaged. It took a 4 weeks from the time of order for them to be delivered. Maybe it was a once off since others have had a good service from them.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 4,255 ✭✭✭Yawns

I used them. Delivery is painfully slow. A week to deliver. Missing half my items.

The customer care team is good and they did refund what I was missing when it appeared there was none in stock. However 2 weeks waiting on the replacement to be shipped out. My main gripe is it seems that Fedex is the slowest courier they use. When they shipped a second item out to me the used TNT and even tho it was sent 2 days after the first, it arrived before Fedex did.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 877 ✭✭✭woodseb

bought some wipers off them and the website said it would fit my car - but it didn't

they refunded me in the end and didn't require me to send them back so now have a spare set of wipers, just have to buy the car it fits now:)

don't think i'd use them again

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,277 ✭✭✭MrFrisp

I just got My car serviced last friday, and so I compared the prices.

The difference between the prices from my local motor factor, and mister-auto was only about €3.00. (Oil,Air,Fuel filters)

But if I was to add in the delivery charge,it would have been about €10.00 dearer.

I ordered last Thursday the shipment showed dispatched on Friday and initiated on FedEx tracking. Same on Monday so I contacted them. Seems it didn't actually ship. I was advised it was their fault and they would rectify. I kinda expected it to ship that day considering it was their error. Still waiting for it to ship. I'm hoping this is just a blip but I doubt I'll be using them again as the 48hr delivery claim for me isn't!

Not too impressed so far :(

    .:update:.
Worryingly it's looking like the second attempt is now having the same issue, if so I think I'll ask for a refund.
Now it seems the original order they said had not been shipped has and the current so mow it looks like I'll end up with two lots lol

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,730 ✭✭✭✭mickdw

I ordered stuff on the 12th. Just looked at the tracker there. Originated in France. Routed through Paris and was last scanned in Dublin. Will probably get the stuff Monday. 48 hour delivery is impossible considering it shown as economy international service with fedex. Must complain.

I bought a fuel filter and wipers, got here in 3 days and was a very good service. Will buy again.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,730 ✭✭✭✭mickdw

    Update:

Order of front discs and pads arrived however only one disc arrived despite the order clearly being for a '2 wheel set' of discs.
I rang them and of course it was someone with a foreign accent. Anyway, was told they will get the 2nd disc sent out as it was an error. This is turning into a bit of a disaster. Id say at best it will be next monday all going well and this after having ordered on the 12th or so.
Wont use them again although for the genuine stuff, they were well priced.

Company based in France, so no wonder there was foreign accent. Errors do happen. used myself them before, took week or so for delivery... dont know why... priced well, but long delivery time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,720 ✭✭✭Hal1

Yeah, I taught they had a poo service. I'd get a delivery sooner from China...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 203 ✭✭boomslang

In the end I got the origional order they said had not dispatched and had to refuse the second that got dispatched to replace the first.
To be fair their customer service is on the ball. But the 48 hr delivery claim is a little ambitious ;)

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 4,255 ✭✭✭Yawns

Yeah their delivery service is appalling to be honest. The customer care is great and they can refund etc straight away but it's terrible that it's a common thing they have to do.

If you read the terms and conditions closely they will actually say 48 hours dispatch for delivery which is just very wrong when they have the big ad saying delivery 48 hours.

Why are they asking for copy of passport and utility bill.
This combined with the credit card info is a bit too much information.
In the UK forums have more negative then positive reviews of Mister auto.
Are all parts they deliver genuine.
    Thanks

Are you sure you are not being scammed by a 3rd party?

I finally got my complete order after about 2 weeks. I now have 3 brake discs instead of the 2 ordered.

Ordered a Micro Filter for the other halves E90 on Wed (27th). Shipped yesterday (28th) and current UPS tracking states it departed France at 6am this morning. Due for delivery on Tuesday (3rd).

Activated Carbon Micro Filter (Cabin Filter) from BMW is €62. Got it from Mr. Aute for €24. Dont mind waiting the extra few days as its not an essential item.

will update if any errors or delivery problems, or indeed if it arrives on time.

    Hello,
Any one being asked on registration to send them copy of pasport and utility bill?
Or just standart registration for address and payment by paypal?
    Thanks

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3 clakell

Yes, was asked to provide utility bill and passport for id purposes. Has anyone actually supplied these & was everything ok afterwards? Thanks

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 4,255 ✭✭✭Yawns

I wasn't asked for ID or bill when registering. If asked I would not provide it to be honest. I'd simply order elsewhere.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3 clakell

It was after I had already ordered and paid that I was asked to provide the details. They said they would despatch the order after they receive & verify the details provided. I sent them anyway & now am a bit worried about it. That's why I was wondering if anyone else had provided them too.

A car parts supplier looking for a utility bill and copy of passport? Sounds well dodgy to me. They have an office address listed of 44 Upper Mount Street, Dublin 2, but no landline. I presume the office is not really an office, rather an address they just use to get a .ie website.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10 abc2000

This is my experience with them so far:
When I questioned them via the phone why copy of passport when paying by paypal, they said-OK if the order is not more than 300 euro.
I placed my order- prices good-~40 percent cheaper.
    What I got:
-timing belt kit-the box looked like being open in the corner carefully- inside the belt it self was an used one ,good looking but definitelly used, the mounting screw was missing the plastic insert in the box with broken piece missing-looked assembled from left overs.
-water pump-ordered new got - reconditioned-
    -HV coil-new and working fine
    -Filters -OK
I took pictures and disputed the order with them.
Got a full refund for the 2 dodgy parts.
Now it leaves the question-dodgy dealer that sends stuf and if it goes trough ,if not refund.
Option 2 some one ordered the kit replaced the parts and returned it,but 2 parts at the same time???
Positive is the low cost of shipping ,regardless of items ordered.
Pay via paypal thee is the option to dispute via paypal and they are quite effective in this.
Lets hear other peoples experiences with Mister auto.
They are french company ,if you read the terms and conditions you will see the detils, the policy for faut during waranty is dodgy also.

I use them a bit so I'll just say always email them before you order to make sure they have the part you ordered.
They'll send you out cheaper parts if they don't have the ones you want.

If I wanted the cheaper ones I would have ordered them in the first place.

They already changed my order without approval by swapping out for cheaper filters than what i ordered. Every box was open and some were pretty torn up. I was annoyed with the filter changes. I can live with that though but what i can't live with is one disc when i need 2 and the description clearly said a set of 2.

Caveat emptor - there is a reason they are cheap!

Got some lemforder control arms off them for about half the price of elsewhere, all unopened and genuine. Got trw brake lines aswell for next to nothing, unopened and genuine.

Im a bit shocked by the stories here, my 3 purchases went very smooth. The only snag is the 3 day shipping from france, I think you can get next day for a bit more.

Cheap as chips for good brands so im very happy with them so far.

I ordered lemforder arms aswell but half the arms they sent were Febi-Bilstein.
They said the reason they sent the cheaper ones was they didn't want me to be without my car.

That's the only issue I've had with them and it did take over a week to get a refund but I would still use them again.

They did send out the correct order after calling them. They actually sent 2 further discs meaning 3 in total.
I used them again recently for wiper blades. When they arrived they were for left hand drive. Called them and they refunded the money without question and told me to keep the wipers.
In short, they are not worth the hassle specially given the slow delivery.

Balls! I ordered wipers too. Didn't occur to me to check that they were right hand as it was an irish portal i was ordering through although i now know they shipped from France. Will check this evening. TBH, i am so annoyed with them i might just send the whole lot back.

The sending of cheaper parts than ordered seems to be a common ploy of theirs by reading this thread. If i wanted cheaper parts i would have ordered them!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,734 ✭✭✭zarquon

Another update: They sent me the wrong wipers also just like mickdw. Seriously incompetent service. I questioned the disc situation and they are disputing saying the package may have been opened or tampered with - as if someone is going to steal one disc and leave the other!

Hopefully i can resolve the issues and get at least some partial refunds but i will never use this crowd again. I should have taken the hit and just gone with a more expensive provider likes micksgarage who at least would actually supply what was ordered

New update: Like Mickdw above, they are now processing another brake disc which they do not have in stock so could be next week before they send the item out! They also will refund the wipers without having to ship them back which is something. They tried to bribe me into repeat business by offering free shipping for my next order but i genuinely would not go through the pain of ordering from them again.

The fact that Mickdw had the exact same experience means this is most likely a common practice with them

My experience is documented in this thread here.

Lure you in with the promise of TRW and Lemforder but give you cheap crap instead. Are they still promising 48 hour delivery too? Once bitten...

Yep, 48 hours promised. Waiting over a week and then arrived with wrong wipers, cheaper filters than ordered and 1 brake disc missing. Will probably take another 2 weeks to get the missing disc as they have none is stock and have to order from their supplier first.

Will never use them again despite the fact i have free shipping for the next order.

That is gas. Same experience as mine. How do they make any money? Surely the process of supplying right hand drive parts to Ireland can be automated.

At this stage i wouldn't be surprised if they sent me a box of bananas in lieu of the brake disc. You are right though, they must lose a serious amount of money on order error. They seem to have seriously bad quality control in their fulfillment processes.

Final update - got 2 new brake discs a month after my original order. Now i have 3 brake discs despite ordering 2! Exact same scenario as Mickdw.

This crowd are laughable and i will never use again. A whole month to get the order almost right and a refund required on LHD wipers for a different model car.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,196 ✭✭✭pcardin

Used them a number of times, always compare theire pricing with Micksgarage, sometimes they win sometimes Mick wins. Mister sends all parts from France I think (that explains problems others experienced with LHD wipers), usually takes week. Mick is nearly always next day delivery which I prefer better + Mick is free delivery, Mister is €7 or so.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,356 ✭✭✭Mar4ix

Ive ordered belt puley , two filters. Ordered express delivery .... next day delyvery, ok, ive ordered yestarday after lunch, so assume this morning was processed, so i am expecting receive tommorow, so .... will see , will see....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 189 ✭✭ned14

I've ordered brake pads and discs from them on 2 occasions. The only problem I had was that I ordered the wrong diameter discs the first time. Contacted them, they collected and refunded pretty quickly. Aside from that, I've had zero problems and will use them again!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,909 ✭✭✭✭CJhaughey

I have had issues with suppliers here supplying LHD stuff, I ordered a cabin filter from Micks for my car, they sent one for a LHD model.
Sent it back at my expense and got refunded but I shouldn't have to pay return postage IMO.
Ordered stuff from Mister and got what I wanted no hassles.
I will say that if you tick the 2.95 guarantee from Mister you can send stuff back for free which is pretty good.
Better in fact than Micks, which costs you no matter if its their fault.

Not a chance you will receive them tomorrow. I used next day delivery and took nearly a week for the first delivery including a very long dispatch time

I did a bit of doctoring on them and fitted them also. I turned around the aero spoiler on them and they are fine. I thought at speed if I didn't turn the spoiler around that they would be jumpy on the screen.
