The key difference is they ship to your door instead of to a locker. Which is equally advantageous and disadvantageous depending on your circumstances.

Bgud, will they ship products of any size? Parcel motel for instance wouldn't be useful for buying a TV, would these guys?

I haven't used them yet, so not sure how they work bigger items. It could be similar to parcel motel or it may be a case where because they are already delivering it to you door they don't charge anything extra

I used parcel motel for my laptop a while back and like awec above, i got an email saying it was delivered from the original courier on the same day i picked it up from the locker.

Seems to have been a massive terrorist attack in Paris this evening. Bomb and gun attacks in different locations. Bombs have gone off outside Stade de France. At least 18 dead according to Le Monde.

When they interrupt the panel on RTE after the football to tell you about a terrorist attack you know things are bad.

    This is horrific stuff.

It's all over all the TV stations now.....awful awful stuff. France has closed its borders....unprecedented.

160+ dead, most seem to have been at a concert with 4 gunmen who may have also targeted a restaurant. Live stream currently on reddit along with advice on what to do if you're in Paris.

It's a weird way to react to news, but I am going to buy a French rugby jersey today. I had wanted it anyway, but never had a reason to get it, this morning I woke up and felt I should.

Weirdly lifestyle and elverys have each reduced different jerseys. The home jersey is reduced in Lifestyle, but that gorgeous away jersey is reduced in Elverys.

Well so much for "most dominant female athlete of all time" (according to the UFC) Ronda Rousey.

A whole brand dismantled in 6 minutes.

Indeed, but how do you sleep after that?

I'm pretty sure she won a public poll for that title too, unbelievable really

Rogan was insufferable too, "she's not just once in a generation, she's a once ever, in human history"

The most dominant female athlete thing was always a load of ****e. Glad she was beaten tbh, Holm seems far more humble. Good fight all the same.

Back in wet and windy Ireland, the roads into Paris today were almost deserted, the car that collected me was supposed to have brought 3 families on an aer lingus flight to our hotel, nobody arrived on the flight

I think the point is the fact that it is in Paris. Which is a fair one no?

I'd imagine security will be incredibly tight. I'd be even more inclined to go, to show solidarity with the French fans. Staying away from Paris just rewards the terrorists/scum

I had this down as one to go to as a. myself and the OH have never been in Paris, and b. from the very few matches I've gone to here against French fans, they are a great bunch to win/lose against, and was combining a new city/weekend break with a match.

I'd be the same as you tbh, more inclined to go, and show support for the French (not in terms of winning obviously) but to show that we will not be put off by the attacks.

I'd be the same, wasn't the biggest fan of the place as a city in the past versus other French cities but a point (however small in the big picture) has to be made

Go, you''ll love Paris. Such a great city for walking around just taking in the sights. Only problem is it can be pretty cold in February. Last time I was in Stade de France it was -8C!

Pah when I lived in the midlands we hit -12 regularly, and I was working in Canada last year and it was -43!

I'm looking forward to book shopping, seeing the sights and loving the match :)
