He was found guilty by a judge in the first trial. He appealed and requested a jury trial. Victim didn't appear at the second trial as they had reached an apparent settlement.

The NFL can't do anything, their hands were tied the moment she accepted an out of court settlement. The Cowboys could cut him, but they won't.

He was initially found guilty and convicted, he then appealed and his girlfriend then declined to testify during the appeal. Because of her refusal to testify, the case was thrown out. He was never found innocent. You can be absolutely sure he threw some hush money at her to save his career and buy her silence. Reminds me off scumbag woman beater Terrell Suggs, he went from having judicial protective restraining order issued against him to suddenly marrying (buying) his victim. The same as Ray Rice, he knocks his woman out cold in the lift and the next thing you know they're getting married. There's a pattern of scumbags with money buying their freedom, Hardy isn't the first and won't be the last.

To be clear, I was just arguing against the idea that hardy is "innocent until proven guilty"

He has been proven to be guilty.

That the court have now expunged that shouldn't matter to an NFL team

Yeah one year deal. Weird he went so long without being picked up. I know he's old but your have thought there's always a spot somewhere for a guy of his talent.

Talib only getting 1 game is a disgrace. If that was Rugby he'd be gone for the rest of the season. Von Miller escapes unpunished for his knee drop as well. Lovely bunch.

And he's appealing it too! His attitude in the interview after was incredibly disingenuous and spiteful.

Without looking at Reddit, can anyone guess as to what the above represents? :D

    Ryan Fitzpatrick?

    Ryan Fitzpatrick?

    Sure is.

In more detail, however, its the five different times he has beaten The Jags, with 5 different teams.

    Poor fecking Jags.

wouldn't normally be a fan of tmz but this is crazy
Three brothers took the Cowboys and Eagles game way too seriously, and ended up hospitalized and arrested for beating the crap out of each other in the stands at AT&T Stadium.
The video of their brawl went viral hours after the game -- most people thought they were just opposing fans, but TMZ Sports has learned they were blood. Arlington cops tell us they'll all be charged with different degrees of assault. Meet the bros:
    - Jorge Castillo punched his brother, Ignacio ... and got arrested for misdemeanor assault with bodily injury.
    - Jose Castillo was arrested for simple assault with provocative contact and failure to obey a police officer.
    - Ignacio Castillo was not arrested, yet ... and only because he's laid up in a hospital. Cops say he'll be charged with felony assault on an officer for allegedly spitting blood on a cop trying to stop the fight.
Fun fact: Cops tell us there were 2 other fights that ended with arrests -- and both of those also involved relatives!

Crazy stat I read there today. Since the opening quarter of the season, the Patriots have scored in every subsequent quarter since then. 31 straight quarters with at least a field goal. That's incredibly impressive.

It was a touchdown in each quarter until Sunday

The CBS comms mentioned it during the Miami game. The touchdown one is impressive. Overall scoring isn't

It was not a touchdown in each quarter, they've only scored a touchdown in each quarter in two games I think.

Its very impressive to score in each quarter IMO since week 1. Some ability to move the ball.

A bit of topic here, but speaking off Reddit. I must the only person who doesn't go near Reddit. I tried it a couple of years ago, but for me the layout of the site was like visual diarrhoea.

Never checked them out but I'm happy enough with Boards.ie tbh. We've haven't a bad little forum here in the AF forum and I think we all deserve a collective pat on the back, for giving our Mods very little to do.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,475 ✭✭✭✭Knex*

Used to think that, but really got into it the last few months. Can read it away no problem.

I think going from the forum feel of boards, it can be a little off-putting seeing conversation tangents all over the place, and new threads are by default arranged to show "top" comments, rather than new.

Once I put a little time into it, I really got the benefit out of it, tbh. I check the NFL sub out, and the Giants and Liverpool one, more than I read boards, at this stage.

It is good, but when I thought it was a TD in each quarter, the score in each quarter paled into insignificance :o

Andrew Luck out for 2-6 weeks with a torn abdominal muscle and lacerated kidney suffered in a 4th quarter hit he took on Sunday night. Not surprising he's getting such injuries with how poorly his Oline has been protecting him this season.
