Late arrival for the Pax on EI3729 into ORK tonight!

Late arrival for the Pax on EI3729 into ORK tonight!

I wonder did EI-FCZ come into technical issues today? After the aircraft decided to return to Cork after starting its diversion to SNN, the winds went back over MAX to 36kts (Max was 35kts for the stobarts) yet it landed anyway. Could the windy landing have resulted in a possible tech issue? The Bristol flight to be operated by the aircraft was cancelled and the following Glasgow delayed until 5:20.

Anyway it's not as windy at ORK now, but I'd say a bumby approach is still likely!

It certainly isn't making a speedy trip anyway! That 60 knot headwind is adding an extra few minutes on to the journey time!

Here he goes, complete cross-wind on approach. 20-25kt sustained. Can't be pleasant :(

Will that result in 16/34 being used?

I seem to be having a problem with the IOS FR24 app. I can click on the airports and view the arrival/departure boards while using Wi-Fi through the app but it will not work on 3G. Anyone else having the same problem?

Might be an FR24 MLAT glitch but showing even slower now, 200 kts in the descent over Wexford.

Even a Cityjet RJ could overtake it :)

No, can see it on approach now at Shannon, FR wasn't tracking it.

I use Flightaware Alerts to try to catch upcoming AN124 movements at EINN, but it only ever throws up about 2/3 AN124 flight alerts per day for the whole world, and this one didn't show at all  ...

Is there any better way of getting a heads-up about upcoming AN124 movements in Shannon - apart from boards.ie :) ?

    Thanks.

FCZ did not have any tech issues and didn't divert. The wind rose out of limits after landing so therefore could not take off again. Another crew took it to BHX at 2pm after waiting 20mins with pax onboard and engines running for the wind to drop.

FAT returned from EDI and operated the delayed GLA.

Fine actually, wasn't all that windy when it was coming in, looked very slow but id say its just a deception because of its size.

Always reminds me of a flying bus for some reason :-P

Not sure if this is any good to you but if you have flightradar 24 on your phone you can set up custom alerts for different aircraft types and if that type enters an area you choose on a map you will receive an instant notification on your phone.

Just away from SNN is Europe Airpost 737 F-GZTD, brining Connaught rugby to Krasnoyarsk (via Moscow SVO) for their game against Enisei STM.
